i have recentley returned from malia and i stayed at the frixos hotel the staff were very friendly! the food was good value for money the rooms were very basic but clean i would suggested to get air con becuase the boys in the room next to us eneded up sleeping on the balcony at night because it was sooo hot!
the reps are lovley!
but be careful of the security guy stellios hes a bit of a nutter!
when u go on the strip at night stick as a group because it can get violent!
alll together it was an amazing holiday and i would return to frixos again!!!

had such an amazing time in malia.....hotel was nice an clean decent sized rooms.....i went with 6 friends. I would reccomend this for anyone such as familys, groups...etc. there is something for everyone....loved it so much only just got back home.....really wanted to stay, 7days just ewasnt enough. going back next year for 10-14days cannot wait

i know its a bit late but i stayed at frixos in 2005 and it was quality!! all round top holiday. i wouldnt recommend this hotel to families but for young groups it is top notch!!!! recognize

We stayed at Frixos for a cheeky week away in the sun. My friend and I are late 30's and used to traveling the world but usually book no less than 3*.
The welcome at Frixos was second to none, great staff, rooms cleaned daily but the decor was a little old fashioned(refresh it and they would charge alot more).
The pool was v nice, breakfast acceptable (cereal, bacon, beans, toast), never loud music v late at night or too early in the morning.
The rooms were not well ventilated(we were on the ground floor) but there was aircon if too uncomfortable.
All in all, a great place to stay, close to the nightlife but far enough for a sound nights sleep and a welcome that 5* hotels could learn from.
PS
In Malia is you do scuba diving, book via an agent as the local dive centre will rip you off going direct.

me and 5 other girls stayed at the frixos hotel in july.. was the most amazing time of my life.. we went bed and breakfast but never woke up in time to actually eat it! Sam the barmann or SEX as he makes you call him, is hilarious but sooo weird.. he makes your holiday moree fun though.! The pool area is really nicee aswell.. we got in trouble with the security guard Stellious a few times! he shouted at us when we got home at early hours in the morning and told us to get to bed and stay there! he also threaterned to get us thrown of the hotel on a few occasions.. this made our holiday even more funny... we would stagger into the hotel in fits of laughter! He is really nicee when you get on the right side of him! the family who own the Frixos are lovely.. Nanny Frixoss is hilarious, she sits in the front of the hotel all day asleep.. shes cute really! the hotel room was very basic.. as we went bed and breakfast we didnt get a kitchen area, we didnt really mind as we went out to eat everynight, but if you are thinking of cooking yourself when your there make sure you go Self Catering.. the hotel is situated at the top of the strip, but is far enough so you can sleep without all the noice.. it takes about 5 minutes to get to the strip.. Maliaaa is the most amazing place i have ever been and i would reccommened it to everyone, you will have the most amazing time there... i am deffinatly planning on going again and will be staying in the frixos!

Must try: Frixos nice hotel, very friendly, pool area good, nice bar, best barman Sam. A nice walk to the beach, but must go - Miami beach a def MUST. Great music and great food.
For the 'younger' great bars but otherwise try the Original bar, great music and great people, Amanda will pour your drinks Kerry will wait on your every need!

I've Just Got Back From The Frixos Hotel And I Loved It! The Staff Are Nice And Will Always Be Around Helping You, The Foods Decent And It Comes At A Good Price. It Was Full Of Teenagers That Was A Good Thing For Me As I Am One, Mainly Girls As It Wasnt Peak Season I Think The Lads Stayed At Different Hotels Because There Were Loads Out At Night. They Had A Huge Pool And Plenty Of Sunbeds, Its A 5 Minute Walk To The Malia Night Life (And Thats With Break Your Kneck Heels) And A 15 Minute Walk To The Beach, You Have A Corner Shop That Has Pretty Much Everything You Need. As For The Rooms There Just Very Basic A Bed A Shower, Wardrobe, Mirror But I Was In Bed And Breakfast If I Went Again I Would Definately Go Self Catering, The Rooms Are So Much Better And You Get A T.v And A Little Kitchen And I Think It Works Out Around A Similiar Price And The Breakfast Is Far From A English Fry Up You Get Bread/Toast Beans, Boiled Eggs, And Little Hot Dogs And Thats Basically It So I Would Go For The Self Catering. The View Is Either Of The Pool And The Bar Or Mountains And the Sea In The Far Distance. I Just Loved Everything About The Frixos And I Will Definately Be Going Back :) x

Went malia last year wiv d girls first girlie holiday n it was wicked!
They play wicked tunes allday by the pool the staff are luvly jus genualy a all round nice place to be i cant wait to go bak!!!

Frixos Hotel and Apartments is the best place to stay in Malia.
It was my 1st girlie holiday, and i had the best time.
Hotel Security was wicked lol. Good old Stellios (think thats how u spell it), I always felt very safe coming back to the hotel.
Best Location!! Less than a 5 min walk 2 the strip and 10 mins to the beach. Iwent 2 beach twice, didnt like it though, our pool was too much fun.
Our pool area was really nice, and always lively. People from other pools always came to ours, which was good. Everyone loved our hotel.
Malia is great!! Strip is wicked. I loved Lush Bar so try if you like r'n'b, bashment, funky house!!
Food in Malia is alrite, just yoru basic burgers and chips. Try the red lion near the end of the strip!! good old english food!!
Be carefull hiring a quad, only get it off the strip people.
All clubs and bars r free to get in, unless they have a night on which was usually only on the saturday! So u can av really cheap nights!!

Me and 4 lads went in july and found that the hotel was wat u needed it for. a place to crash wen you come in drunk from a good night out and a nice swimmin pool and sunbeds. A pool bar what does good food. It is a family run hotel so wer very friendly. ok the room wernt the ritz hotel but who cares bout the room it has all you need beds and a bathroom. but if you go self catering they hav much better rooms with little kitchens. this hotel is best for peeps who lyk to party and also lyk to chill out durin the day to get sun. bk in july 09 WOOP WOOP James xxx
