I had an amazing time and defiently will go back year after year to the same hotel. Staff are very friendly and there to help you whenever. The food is amazing and their is a lot of variety. Hotel is clean. Everything is on your doorstep and you dont have to travel. The weather is just brilliant and i agree with karen12345 i also went to that same clothes shop opposite the hotel and found the boys very friendly and the clothes really good quality and good prices and they defiently were not pervy like alot of the guys. I would recommend anyone to visit their shop but DEFIENTLY choose the hotel you cant go wrong! Im going back in july

I would say that the Sunrise has one of the best locations in the resort . Within walking distance of the action but once you stepped inside you entered a cloisted calm . I found the staff in general pleasant and reserved . This was a great contrast to the resort in general that was very vibrant with everyone trying to sell you something in a humerous cheeky way . The pool area and proximity to the beach the best attributes .
The only criticism I would have of the of the hotel is that the rooms are not great and woud not pass muster for those who may have paid the brochure price for the accomodation . Food wise the breakfast was fine if you like a full turkish ! but not so good you would feel guilty if you gave a miss after a goodnight out . Had lunch twice and would have to honestly say that the most bland and least generous food I had whilst on holiday .
In my opinion Samdams across the road was the best place I ate in Marmaris and the staff are very friendly whilst not being to in your face . Infinity at the back of the hotel was good for food and drink with the staff being very attentive . Aloha is a very family friendly place and like being in a working man's social club in the sun . The waiters had far more time for the children than their parents and seemed genuinely nice .
Marmaris is Blackpool in the Sun and a good time can be had by all . Those who follow the national sport of shopping will have a great time . However it is easy enough to be cultered and a trip to Ephesus and Pamukkale is a must for the truly discerning tourist .
I would also recommend " Talk of the Town" for a fun night out . The surprise for me is that despite being a captive audience the pricew of drinks was very reasonable .
What I did find that when booking trips in my second week that Thomas Cook were no dearer than any of the other agents who quoted me prices .
So don't bother with Ali Baba his boat trips are slightly cheaper but the boats significantly down market . In my opinion regardless of what operator you use the boat trips they all do are not worthe giving up a days holiday for if only there for a week.
The only bad thing I could say about Marmaris is that everyone smokes so if like me you have just given up then can be very tortuous but if you do smoke then rejoice there is a place where you will not be treated like a leper .
Marmaris is great go have a fun time but be warned Dalman airport is a nightmare it took us 3 hours to get through and was told this not unusual . With transfer time included did not get to our hotel until 6 hours after landed .

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The food is really good and the staff can't do enough for you. Overall we had a really wonderful holiday.

This was our first time in turkey and we think we made an excellent choice by choosing the hotel sunrise.The hotel is absolutely spotlessly clean,the bed linen is changed often and towels daily.we didnt have a great view from our room as we were on the side looking out onto a block that use to be shops and looked very run down,but it wasnt really a problem as your not in your room that often.
we went bed and breakfast,the breakfast left a lot to be desired,being cheese,ham,pancakes,hard boiled eggs.You could ask the chef to make you an omlette of fried eggs but after seeing my husbands omlette which was half cooked I didnt bother.I went down to breakfast for a cuppa that was all.I like an enlish cooked breakfast when on holiday but you didnt get it here.
we went on a few of the boat trips which we booked right outside of the hotel,the lazy day cruise was a bit boring but the mud baths and turtle beach was excellent even though we didnt see a turtle. I would definetly reccomend this hotel for the clendliness alone.
The only thing that put us off going back to turkey was the fact that you couldnt walk anywhere without being pestered by the bar people and shop owners,it was really bad,hassling you constanly at every bar and shop to go in,I wish they would realise that they are putting people off going back to turkey.
The weather was very hot reaching 40 during the day and it was 29 at 11pm,thank goodness we had air con in the room.
I wouldnt think twice about booking this hotel again but the locals would have to change for me to return to turkey.They are very nice when you are buying from them but can be rude if you show no interest.

i have been coming to sunrise for 9 years,staff and cleanliness exellent.if you are in a wheelchair,do not worry,bathroom doors wide enough to go through,best hotel in marmaris.

what can i say? this has got to be the best hotel i have ever stayed in. spotless, staff who will do anything for you and as for the food , excellent. my boyfriend and i stayed for 2 weeks and cannot complain about anything. our room overlooked the sea which was so lovely having a drink on the balcony and watching the sun go down and loads of entertainment on the door step. have been to marmaris 9 times but this was by far the best and that was down to the hotel and staff as everyone there is so friendly. this hotel is not cheap but is well worth it after some of the horror stories i have heard about turkey! it is well worth paying a wee bit extra for the luxury.
this year we are going to gumbet and if it is half as good as marmaris i will be more than happy.
if you are thinking about going to marmaris then try this hotel, you will not be dissapointed. i know how hard it can be trying to choose the right hotel.

Another fantastic stay at the Hotel Sunrise standards as high if not higher than the first time two years ago.
friendly staff make you welcome and will try and accommodate your every need.
The food and drink is especially good and i would recommend the cocktails i will hopefully be returning there at some point soon.
This hotel is far enough away from the noise of the centre of marmaris but near enough for you to join it if you so wish.
The hotel is perfect for the couples and also family or friends and would not dissapoint. The only problem is the sunbeds being reserved early in the morning with the use of towels if you want full sun all day you need to be early.

This was our third stay at the Sunrise and yet again we weren't disappointed. The quality of the accommodation and service is exceptional.
The Turkish bath is the best we have had in Turkey.
Location - A1.
Samdans is recommended for Dinner and if you fancy an english breakfast try Infinity next door.

This is our second visit to Turkey and the best yet.
The hotel is spotless the staff very friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant serves a large varied breakfast, fresh meats, cheese, breads, cereals, preserves, and fruit along with an omelette bar where the chef makes fresh egg dishes whilst you wait.
The location is exceptional beautiful views day and night, a lovely relaxing pool area with plenty of sun beds both around the pool and on its own beach. Ideally located to stroll to marmaris centre and Icmeler.
Plenty of evening entertainment for all ages within 100m, however we found the rooms to be not only clean and well appointed but remarkably quiet. Maid service every day towels changed daily sheets every two days.
We went on several excursions including the jolly roger boat cruise excellent value, the Dalyan departure (last day of holiday you go on the dayayan day trip but also included was an evening meal, and a hotel room to shower and change prior to airport departure, the airport was 20 minutes away. Best evening trip the talk of the town
We cannot finish without a mention for Samdans restaurant which is directly across the road from the hotel; t j and the rest of the staff make this a holiday to remember.
We hope to visit again 2008.

This hotel is a lovely place to stay everything is so clean and everything has it place. The staff are so friendly and on most nights they have themes which I thought was wonderful.
The only reason that this hotel didn't get 10/10 was because you are unable to charge drinks back to your room account at the pool side. As if you are like me I don't like taking money down by the pool side I would rather leave it locked in the safe in the room, but this was my only fault for the hotel it elf and breakfast on the morning was very well organized.
