My family and two other families ages ranging from 13-54 went to the nergis hotel. We had a wonderful time!!
I thought that marmaris was a lovely resort and there was many restaurants, bars etc on your doorstep. Nergis hotel is practically on the beach which was great as we could choose from either the pool or the beach.
The weather was wonderful and all of the staff at nergis were friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
The only thing we would have changed would have been going as b&b and not half board. For the simple fact that food was rather limited and fairly repetitive.
The staff at seven o heaven restaurant were superb and i highly recommend this restaurant.
Some of us went diving, this was a good day out on a boat.
Our beach boy Taz was great and he would make sure all 14 of us had a sun bed on the beach and would bring us drinks all day.
Brilliant, would love to return!

this hotel was lovely, i think the staff make it what it is, so friendly and helpful
the food was really nice a big choice in doors with a selection of salad, cooked meat dishes, vegeterian dishes soup bread and potatoes, english food.
they have small selection of turkish food outside, as well as barbecued food, chips etc. chefs are very friendly.
basically you can eat round the clock and drink as much as you want.
alcohol is quality and bar staff more than happy to make a special cocktail.
the only real problem was our room which was quite small with no space for storage, and same as bathroom but good quality all the same.
there is also not many sun loungers around the main pool, but is a quiet sun terrace with big cushions above the restaraunt over looking the buildings on to the sea.
in a perfect location, a minute from the sea front, and the start of all the good bars when you walk outside.
i would definately go back to this hotel again and highly recommend it

Having read the reviews we were a little worried... We booked our flights, hotel and taxi seperate, the reviews were very negative. We were delayed and hour getting to Dalaman airport (the flight didnt include free food or drinks). My girlfriend found a tour company in Turkey who offered a taxi service for £55 both ways, we were a little worried about this but when we arrived outside the airport we were pleased to see a taxi waiting for us. An hour and a bit later we arrived at the Nergis Hotel. The room was very basic with a small wardrope, sigle beds and a double sofa bed. The weather outlook was rain was the next few days. The staff at the hotel were pleasant, helpful, friendly. We went all inclusive (I would recommend you do) You need to shop around for the different excursions, but down the road at the back on the hotel (near the beach) on the right your find a guy called Alex, he looked after us and recommended a few things to do, the turkish bath was an experience and a half but well work it, theres the extra like a face mask and drinks, Turtle Beach was awsum, and the Quod Bikes were bloody great, your not insured for burns through, so make sure girls, were jeans! My 14 year old daughter got a nasty 2nd degree burn from the bikes at it went through water, the steam from the engineen gave her a nasty burn. The doctor was great!, Hospital well clean, not too expensive, but make sure you take out a travel insurance with extream sport cover. The food at the hotel was nice, the variation of food is not great, in the evening in April there was not much in entertainment but i've been told this gets better in season. We met some lovely people whilst there, the photographers in the hotel were great. Overal, it was a great holiday and I would very much recommend it.

I don’t normally take much notice of the reviews on these pages (but always read them) as it tends to influence your outlook on the property before you even leave England, however everything said below is absolutely correct.
We booked a family holiday with friends and were moved to the Club Nergis Beach at the last minute, we always stop all inclusive but this was the first time we had ever been to Turkey (And we will never go back).
The hotel was dirty and the rooms very tiny (we had 3 adults and 1 child in our room), The pool area at this time of year was not quite as full and so a sun bed was available however only 1 pool out of 3 was and that was dirty, in the outside dining area there was plaster falling off the ceiling and so you had to eat indoors where the whole area was not much different, we did find the bar staff friendly but the glasses were not cleaned as you would expect in England. There were cracked tiles outside the hotel making it very uneven and so you could not allow smaller children to play out there as they were constantly falling over.
There is nothing at this hotel for children bar a very small water slide (that was not open) and 1 pool table.
We made a complaint to our rep and after 3 hours of conversation was finally offered an alternative which we took at a cost.
This Hotel is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and at best it is a 2, we were told by our rep that it was at the lower end of a 4 but would say lower end of 2 was more like it.
Please please please do not ever use this hotel, our travel agent has stated they will not be offering this property to any other holiday makers in the future.

Well this hotel was the best! I loved it so much! All the waiters where helpful and kind! Our rooms were lovely! The pool was a bit cold, but other then that it was well good! Made such good friends!
I cried when I got back to London because I love Nergis hotel, and Marmaris so much! I didn't want to go... but next year I hope I go there! Because it is one of the top hotels to go!
Love everyone who worked there!

I lost a whole day of my holidays because of the poor management at the Nergis. On arrival I was sent to another hotel because they had over booked, it did not matter that I had booked all inclusive I was expected to pay for my evening meal plus drinks that first night.
On day two they promised to transfer my luggage back to the Nergis beach, it was 16.30pm before it turned up.
All inclusive booking, big mistake, your choices of food are few, your choices of drinks even fewer, quality of both very poor. I was booked for one week and in that week my room was never cleaned once; all the maids do is take away the rubbish, no fresh towels, or bed linen until the day before we left.
I am, as you can tell, very angry with myself but most of all with all the major holiday companies who recommended this hotel and the management of the NERGIS BEACH CLUB.

We have stayed in the Nergis hotel on 2 previous occasions, and where looking forward to our return visit. A few weeks before leaving the UK we received a letter from Thomas Cook to advise that the booking in procedure at the hotel had changed, and that we had to book in at another hotel around the corner. Once we had done this, we would be allocated our rooms and taken to the hotel.
We arrived at what was the Almena hotel on the main road to check in. It was very early in the morning (around 4.30am) and the rep came inside with us. At first they couldn't find us on their list, then they made a call and directed us around to our hotel. When we received notice from Thomas Cook that we had to check in elsewhere first, I asked about assistance moving luggage, as my in-laws are quite elderly, and I didn't want them struggling with cases for a 100m. Only one guy was available to help, and therefore we had to move the cases ourselves.
We arrived at the Nergis to check in properly, we received our keys and went to our room. It was 5.00am and the noise from outside was incredible. The rule used to be that music was stopped at midnight(ish) unless you were enclosed, but the noise from the beach club was unbearable. We closed the balcony doors and switched on the air con which blew warm air. This wasn't going as good as we expected.
We came down for breakfast, to a mass queue of people waiting for cups, bowls, cutlery etc. It was chaos. We found a table, and after queuing for 10 minutes, we got a drink. People where jumping in the queue in front of you... it was amazing. In the end we had a light breakfast, which wasn't as good as it had been on previous occassions, and went to the beach. We couldn't get on the section of beach allocated to hotel guests, as it had been commandeered by a mass of Russians, who where staying at one of 4 hotels, with use of the all inclusive facilities here.
All in all, meal times where ridiculous, shortages of just about everything. Amazingly, the stairways and balconies where full of crockery etc, removed from rooms.
It was also amazing to see the number of Eastern European girls, being driven away in mercs and BMW's of an evening, and returning the next morning (in the same clothes) and looking like they had done a full night shift. I can only speculate at what they where up to, but it didn't look legal.
Allegedly, the deal struck with the hotel and 'In The Go' management company, allows Russian holiday makers to stay at one of the 4 hotels, part of the Nergis group for £200 for 2 weeks, all inclusive.
We will never return to the Nergis, whilst it is managed like this. Back to the Intermar next year, should have stayed there this year.
Things to consider.
Tatty towels, Russians using the good ones on the beach and around the pool.
Range of food is now poor. Chaos at mealtimes, big queues, lack of cutlery etc. Arrogance of some hotel guests, jumping queues, terrible manners generally, and even worse eating habits.
No beds available around the pool or on the beach. Go next door to either O Yes or Asmen Kebab Shop (ask for Sadam)...... Great service and food.
Forget haggling, be prepared for arguing, especially with the other guests. Bring back the Germans, at least they had high standards.
If you've already booked, and can't change hotel, good luck. If your considering the Nergis, please forget it and book somewhere else.
I've been going to Marmaris for 17 years and have never had reason to complain, but this place takes the P**s.

The hotel was nice. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The pool area was big enough to accommodate the guests.
This was my first time in marmaris and I would definitely go back. The people were extremely friendly and welcoming.
The food was nice and there is plenty of different types of restaurants to cater to everyone’s needs and it is reasonably priced.
There are also bars for everyone’s tastes and the drinks are also reasonably priced.
Marmaris is perfect for both families as well as the young free and single.

After a delay at Gatwick airport we finally arrived at the Nergis at 08.00 a.m. after a twelve hour journey and a missing suitcase, feeling very tired. The hotel appeared to be o.k. and my daughter even commented on the hotel being a good choice, so I breathed a sigh of relief. I then went to the toilet and it looked how I would imagine an eastern European hospital waiting room to be like, very cold and uninviting. The hotel was very clinical and has glass bricks in parts of the building - really austere. We then went to breakfast which consisted of boiled eggs having turned black and chips. I realised at this point I had made a big mistake, even the butter had curdled.
To cut a long story short we stayed at this hotel for exactly 26 hours and asked to be moved. We were placed in the very lovely 5 star Elegence Hotel and had to pay a considerable amount of money to do so - we were that unhappy and desperate.
You may read this and think that we were fussy; I can assure you that I will rough it with the next person. We were conned into this choice of hotel and luckily we got out of it and managed to resurrect our two weeks - at a price - but it was worth it. If you read this review and ignore it like I did after reading a review on this site, you will regret it and waste your money.
As far as Marmaris is concerned, well it depends on what you want. If you like cheap fake goods, cheap beer and a breakfast for 99p then this is the holiday for you.
This is our fifth time in Turkey having visited, Bodrum twice, Kushidasi and Olu Deniz - I think I am in a position of making comparisons. The only redeeming feature Marmaris had was seeing the American war ship in the marina, the heat and the old part of Marmaris. Personally, I would never go to Marmaris again even though we eventually stayed in good 5 star hotel for sanctuary.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days and then moved. Beautiful hotel, great location but full of Dutch.
Couldn’t get loungers as all taken. Rooms tiny for three people, booked for a sea view got view looking out into lane. Holiday was ruined and I wanted to come home, the staff cater more for the Dutch, I think there were about 20 people the same as us hated staying here.
Food looked ok but couldn’t see that much as all the Dutch were queuing up for their food. Would not go back here at all, as 40 loungers and about 400 people. Disgraceful.

Before we went to Club Nergis Beach I read some reviews from different websites and some of them nearly put us off going. Some of the grades that were given were quite low, then some were high. We went to the travel agents to see what they said about it and they said if we were not happy about the hotel we could change it but as that would cost us more money so we decided to take a chance and go. We are glag we did as the hotel was lovely right on the beach could not have asked for a better position right in middle of everything. Rooms were a bit on the small side there were a few larger rooms and family rooms but after all you only sleep in them. They were cleaned everyday and clean towels were left on the beds. we thought the restaurant and surrounding areas were kept very clean the pools were cleaned everynight and they even washed the sunbeds. I thought this very good. The food was average but there was always something to take your fancy .I would give it 10 and definitely would go back.
