We had an early flight from LBIA (05:15am). We researched and found out that our hotel was only 20 minutes away from Palma Airport but for some reason on our transfer we were the last to be dropped off, meaning we were sat on the coach for over 90 Minutes (unlike coming back we were last to be picked up and arrived at the airport within 20 minutes).

When we finally arrived at the hotel (about 11:00am) we were told that in Spain hotel rooms are available after 14:00hrs. Luckily we only had to wait about 90 Minutes (good team work by maids at cleaning)

We checked in and given our All Inclusive Bands, very irritating but managed to get by.

Food lovely (especially if you like chips!!), Fresh Carvery every night. Can't really comment about breakfast as i only had it once (just before going to bed after a good night in Magalluf). No drinks machine available in hotel restaraunt, so remember to go to the bar before going for meals (but not breakfast as an orange machine is available with cups which wouldn't fit a boiled egg in)

Hotel room basic which as expected, Maids change linen daily and make beds (Just like my mum does for me).

Hotel staff very helpful and always smiling. Life Guard (S.O.S) had to be kept happy so on our last day we had to give him something to remind him of us, so deceided to throw him in. Entertainment for kids wasn't as good as expected but still kept them on their feet. Thomas Cook Holiday Rep 'Excellent'. Gave me alot of information about her role and her duties (since arriving home I have already applied to be a Rep).

Palma Nova beach can be reached within about 3 minutes, Magalluf is a nice walk parrell to the beach and takes about 15 minutes or 4 Euros in a taxi.

When going to the bar you may want to get 2 or 3 drinks at once as the cups you get are half a pint and full of ice.

Palma Nova has some good bars, but for the more lively people you may consider going across to Magalluf if so I would highly recommend that you go for a sleep during the day so you are 'Alive and Kicking' at night. Most bars are open until at least 06:00am.

Palma Aiport is rather big!!, make sure you go with the flow and don't get lost, corridors go for miles. Thomas Cook flight ran on time both ways, but not much space between seats (well, i am 6 foot 4!).

Overall I would highly recommend Hotel Palma Nova to people of all ages.

Lovely hotel. Lovely area. Clean rooms, air con, and tv. Minibar was 25 euros with some drinks included, although definately worth the money to keep water and things cool in the room. Pool is nice and not over crowded. Big solarium, always plenty of sun loungers. Beach is opposite the hotel accross the road. Plenty places to eat and drink, magaluf is 15 mins away for a more lively nightlife.

Only negative thing I couls possibly say was I wasnt fussed on the food - just like every other hotel with half board really.

Reccomend for couples and families.

All in all a lovely place, would definately consider staying here again.

On arriving in Palma airport we had been given strict instructions on how to find our transfer which we found by asking someone who looked officialish and it turned out the be the driver of our shuttle which was empty and all for us!

On arriving the hotel looked very impressive from the outside, once inside we checked in and found the hotel was only opening that day we were the first to check in!

I found our sea view room to look onto the pool but it was very clean and fresh decorated. the bathroom was lovely although it did have some hot water issues the first night.

the staff were friendly throughout the hotel and my main complaint was that there was no entertainment the first 2 nights and the first day the pool was closed but the bar and restaurant staff we briliant.

the hotel is bril if you want to chill of the day and head of into town or magaluf of a night its only 20 mins walk

i really enjoyed this holiday as the beach is less then 5 mins walk away, the pool is clean. they dont allow too big a group of young people to book togehter so if you have a family it doesnt get too roudy

we would consider going again .

It was the second time we stayed at the Bahia and found it ok. Cleaners very friendly when we got to know them.

Food was adequate, would go again. It is so easy to get to other places from the hotel taxis opposite buses a short walk to the right you can hire a car at the hotel as we did even down to hiring a wheel chair.

In all we found it a very reasonable holiday. We was lucky enough to have a balcony overlooking the beach and sun terrace.

A group of 11 of us girls stayed in this hotel a week in August. I wouldn't recommend it for those looking for a lively holiday, there wasn't a great variety of night-life within the hotel or exceptional entertainment. More suited to those looking for a quiet relaxing holiday or for couples.

There wasn't a great range of food in the evenings, we felt that the variety could have been better. The rooms were in great condition, the hotel however was like a step back in time, but as I say, quite quaint for those looking for a relaxing holiday.

Majority of the staff were quite nice and friendly, although the bar staff could be quite reluctant to make a cocktail when asked! Quite a good location and not far from the night-life, easy access to taxis and at a reasonable price too. Very close to the beach which was fantastic although the Solarium in the hotel could have done with a good clean.

This is just an opinion, as everyone is entitled to their own.. but better to have a good idea before hand.

Good Luck!

Myself, my 19month old son, sister and boyfriend stayed here. During our stay at the Bahia Palma Nova, the staff and cleaners were very friendly, the room was cleaned every day, but does need updated.

But on the downside our room was smelling strongly of cigarettes throughout the 4nights we were there. People were smoking all over the hotel. The food was not very nice, my 19month son wouldn't eat any of it.

I would not recommend this hotel if you have infants as there is no fridge for keeping milk cool, and it is not child friendly at all, my son was even able to unlock the door. They have a mini bar but request 25euros for it.

Just returned home after a brilliant week at the Bahia Palma Nova. The staff were very friendly and we had no complaints - unlike some of the guests!

We heard several moans and groans about the food - and what can I say - if you’re a fussy eater who needs everything deep fat fried - then this hotel is not for you!

There was a great choice every night - including the most amazing Paella, fresh crisp salad and a wide choice of white meat and seafood dishes! Authentic Mediterranean grub- yummy!

Before we went I was very worried as I read all the bad reviews about the rubbish food!! So I was well pleased with it and unless you are really fussy - in which case why on earth would you go half board - this hotel is a gem!

Palma Nova itself was excellent and the hotel couldn’t have been in a better location! Magaluf is only a 5Euro taxi ride away - and we walked there most evenings (a gentle 25min walk from the Bahia) - but be warned the PRs are very VERY pushy!!

Best bet is stay well away from the main strip - get a taxi to BCM and you can sit in the square and watch all the shows without being totally pestered!

All in all a great week - we had the night life of Magaluf nearby with the relaxing tempo of Palma Nova during the day to recover! Best of both worlds!

We had a great holiday. The room was fine, breakfast was good, evening meal was acceptable.

It was nice to sit in the bar after the evening meal and be able to talk to other holiday makers, without music blearing out, just back ground music.

Some evenings we walked along and found a bar with live music which was good. With the beach just across the road, what more could you ask for.

All in all good hotel, food not bad, location very good, so pleased with holiday package.

Going back this year, so are some other guests who we met last year and have kept in touch with.

Both me and my husband found the hotel to be excellent! The rooms were spotless, the location spot-on and the staff helpful and friendly. The beautiful beach was just over the road and there were plenty of shops and bars etc. within walking distance. The pool is quite small but we didn't need to use it with the beach being so close. All in all an excellent hotel and we will definitely return in the not too distant future.

Hotel in general was excellent, clean etc but for half bored was rubbish no drinks in evening inc, food was terrible but very large choice.

The entertainment is well I don’t even know a word for it (there was none ) the people were friendly if you got them on a good day! Apart from the maintenance man (nick) who was always happy!

Overall was a great holiday but could of been a bit better.

Me and my friend have just got back from Bahia palma nova, Overall it was an ok hotel nice size rooms & the maid service was daily which was good.

The hotel food was nice but there wasn't much choice some days we had to eat out which was a bit disappointing as we had paid nearly £700 for 2 weeks and then had to pay extra for food.

In the second week the water stopped working in the hotel so we had to wash with bottled water from the shop next door, and every time we asked reception when the water was going to be working again they just said we don’t know which was not very helpful, it was working by the morning.

The location of the hotel to the beach was spot on it was just across the road and there were plenty of shops and bars around. To get to the nightlife in magaluf it was about half an hours walk, but only 5 Euros in the taxi, so for young people like us who went out every night this hotel was not close enough to magaluf.

Apart from the minor hiccups the hotel was ok, but I wouldn't stay there again.

We have just come back from the Hotel Palma Nova having spent a truly brilliant week there. To be honest we weren’t too impressed with the food for the first few days, but it did get better as the week went on, and by the time we were half way in we had absolutely no complaints.

The rooms were basic, but clean ( the hotel is due for refurbishment next year and that includes air con in all rooms) There were 2 bars open when we were there, the poolside bar is open from 10am til midnight, and the inside bar is open from 6pm to midnight. The entertainment staff Per, Will and Emilie are excellent and work really hard and very long hours. Entertainment is provided between 11am and 4pm, then from 8.30pm to midnight.

Daytime activities for adults were things like Archery, Rifle and Pistol shooting, Javelots, Crazy Golf, Darts, Pool, Water Polo etc. for kids they had skittles, shuffle board, pool, pony rides, T-shirt painting, Water Polo and all sorts of other things to keep them amused. In the evenings there was a kids mini disco from 8:30 til 9pm, then they had a house of bingo (good cash prizes) tickets costing 1.5 euros each or 9 euros for 6 tickets, a line was paying about, 40 euros and a house about 200 euros. At 10pm the main entertainment came on and varied for local acts (tribute artists, parrot show, comedians etc)and some nights it was a quiz or a competition.

If you get a chance to see Per, Will and Emilie do the Cabaret night you will not be disappointed, they were truly excellent. Had it not been for the fact that we have already booked our holiday for next year, we would be going back. We are now eagerly awaiting the summer 2007 brochures to go on sale and we will be going back, but probably for a fortnight next time instead of 1 week.

We were so sorry to have to go home after a week here, and we made some good friends while we were there. There were comments about the female barmaid Pacqui never smiling, if you try hard enough you can get her to smile, but its not easy!! If you can get on the top floor (7) between 708 and 715 you will also get a brilliant view. These rooms overlook the pool and you can also see right out to sea as well.

If you are a smoker then please be aware that the inside of the hotel (except your room and balcony, including the bar area where they do the evening entertainment, is non smoking, and you will have to go outside. Being a smoker myself, it didn’t really bother me, it was nice to go back to my room at the end of the night without my eyes stinging.

Just returned from a fantastic week in the Bahia Palma Nova, Rooms were immaculate, the selection at meal times was very good, didn’t need to eat out, the pool although a bit on the chilly side was very clean and secluded. The sun terrace when we found it, was in fact a sun trap. The staff on reception were very helpful, as were the restaurant staff.

The Airtours rep Emma was great, very helpful, a credit to the company.

The hotel location couldn’t have been better, everything on the doorstep, wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone and would certainly go back.

ONLY downside was the Air Europe/Airtours in flight meal, or lack of it, 2 tiny triangles of so called sandwich and a miniature toblerone were ridiculous for £20.

The hotel was well situated for the beach in a quieter part of Palma Nova. Staff friendly enough, service was good clean rooms, with air con, electric, operated by door card (but any card will do).....Not a hotel for kids or 18 - 30's majority of guests over 60! Try and get a sea view room, as the back of the hotel overlooks residential apartments.

Food buffet breakfast and dinner, not as good as some restaurants but O K.

Pool area small and a suntrap, but with the Med just yards away no problem!

They have music there but if you want more "life" The Stadium Show Bar is about 10 minutes away on foot, with Karaoke and live tribute bands.

There is also Golf Fantasia a 54 hole crazy golf course open all day and most of the night, nearby. my opinion this is a must
