We have just come back from the marti Hotel in Icmeler on the 18th June. This was our first time at this hotel, and i must admit the hotel was in a breathtaking area of turkey. The hotel staff were great, the food was exeptional, the pools fantastic, and the view from the oriental bar looking out onto the beach and beyond was unbelievable. The only downside was going half board.drinks and food in the hotel are very expensive. If you have booked half board, you can upgrade for the days you want.We did,and it cost a family of four £51 a day. This is much better as a round of drinks would set you back about £20.Ice creams, cocktails, spirits, cakes etc would easily cost well in excess of the extra money to go all inclusive.
The hotel is very clean, the beach is great, and if you like your excursions, book outside of the hotel at the agency at the beach. This will save you a lot of money.Do not book with the travel reps.I would gladly rate this one of the very best hotels i have stayed in.Pay a little extra, about £60 for the seaview.well worth it.I would go back tomorrow if finances would allow it.
Go out of the hotel towards the beach, turn left and visit a restaurant called the cafe del mar,sit out on the veranda, have a drink and a bite to eat,and just admire the fantastic scenery.I WANT TO GO BACK.
One drawback is the entertainment is rubbish, but the hotel makes up for that in every other way.Plenty of bars etc to get your enjoyment just 100 yards down the road.

I booked a two week break at the hotel marti in icmler from the 24th may until the 7th june.2010. This is our third visit to this hotel and it as been twelve years from our last visit to this one, we took two friends with us aswell. Before i went i did read some reviews that did concern me, but all i can say is i really do not know what people want to have a moan about. This hotel is fantaastic in every way from the staff who can not do enough for you, and the choice of food is exceptional and first class.
It is 5 Star all the way.
And the turkish people are some of the nicest people i have met.
So do not be put off by some reviews that you read, i would tell anyone to go there and also go for the all inclusive option it is well worth it.
I will defitnaley go back in the future.

My husband and I have just returned from two weeks in the Hotel Marti Resort and had a really fantastic time. We thought the hotel was beautiful. Our room was better than expected with a view over the pool and the sea.It was very clean as, in our experience, was the rest of the hotel. The food was delicious and we have both gained weight. The staff were alway polite and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Two adults, we stayed at Hotel Marty in May 2009 on halfboard for two weeks, we had stayed in Icmeler before and loved the area. Externally the Hotel is very smart, but not all the rooms are of such a high standard, ours wasn't but we unpacked then didn't want the challenge of moving. If you are unhappy don't unpack and wait to see rep. The pools were beautiful but not enough sunbeds, guests put their towels on them early morning, then went off and left them empty for hours, different system needed. Food was delicious with plenty of choice, but if you are halfboard there are NO DRINKS WITH EVENING MEAL! not even water. The drinks were extremely expensive, we asked for prices and were just given a paper to sign, so had no idea of cost and got a bill at the end of our stay, so we went out for drinks and bought bottled water from supermarket.T/Cook excursions very expensive, some local trips less than half the price and better, we went on a boat trip with 'Adam' and it was great. We also had a good night at The Harmony Bar (round by Icmeler Harbour) free drag show and he's a really nice guy. Icmeler is wonderful though, have an unforgettable holiday and buy lots of jewellery!

We stayed at this hotel for a week and had a great time. The all inclusive drinks were great you could help yourself to water, fruit juice and red or white wine. You had to ask for beer, spirits or cola etc. The local spirits were fine I stuck to Gin and it was Schweppes tonic they put in it for you. The staff were very friendly. The Jeweller Soluman, the hairdresser Jimmy were extremely funny.
The Hotel rooms were bright and spacious we had a partial sea view and it was lovely and quiet. The bathrooms were good lots of room shower over a bath and the maid service was very good.
The hotel was kept spotless. It could not have been in a better location. We thought the only downside was the food in the restuarant which could have been warmer but the snack bar at lunchtime was ideal. The hotel did provide towels for the beach and this is good to know to save you taking them when baggage is limited.
We went on an All inclusive BBQ boat trip for 25 lira around £12 food and drinks included well worth it. The boat we were on was the Woodstock. We also visited the turkish baths which were worth the money as well.
We only dined out once to the nearby restuarant called Majestic which had really good food and good entertainment which started about 10pm.

We went to The Marti La Perla with my Husband Sister and her partner in July 2008 for an adult only holiday in july of this year. Icmeler itself is a very beautiful and pretty resort and the la perla has beautiful veiws from all angles. Be warned we were put on the top floor after asking for a low floor and these rooms are like attic rooms with limited head room and very tiny balconys only fitting 1 chair on. Great views however.
Hotel has a nice pool area and enough sunbeds for everyone. Nice relaxed atmosphere with activites if you want them. Nice seating area outside where the evening entertainment is based and where you can eat lunch.
Food is ok. Pleasent restaurant, however the choice is not great, it was ok for adults, although I can imagine it would be difficult to find something that children would like to eat
Evening entertainment was good overall.
Really recommend a boat trip and a turkish bath which you can book at great rates along the promanade. Also make sure you go out and have a turkish kebab
Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Beautiful scenary, and would return. Would not recommend for children as not enugh going on

Returned yesterday from Icmeler after staying at the Marti Resort. WHAT A DUMP !!!
We stayed there in 2006 and again in 2007 so we were really looking forward to our stay in 2008 - in fact we had already booked for 2009 !!
The room we were given was the filthiest, dirtiest, shabbiest room on the planet. It was a disgrace. When we asked to move the answer we got was - you stay where you are or move to Marmaris. We even asked to be upgraded to a deluxe room but none were available - allegedly !!! I asked if the Dutch/German and Russian guests were put up in the sub standard rooms that had been allocated to the British guest or if they had the pleasure of the superior rooms - the manager just smiles smugly!! Oh and by the way we had already upgraded from a basic room to a Side sea view.
I have never seen a hotel go down hill so quickly over such a short space of time.
The drinks have gone up by over 50% in a year and the staff don't seem to care.
The beach boy that has been there for years has left and now the beach is neglected, filthy cig. butts littering it and generally unkept.
This is now a 3 star hotel with 1 star rooms BUT still charging 5 star prices.
We have already informed the hotel and Thomas Cook that we will be canceeling for 2009.
My advice - don't go - leave it to the Russians !!

fabulous hotel, good location, good amenities, excellent staff however ...........WARNING........Valentino Jewellery which is situated in the lobby of the hotel is certainly not to be trusted as they are selling manmade stones as mined stones which are inferior quality but this is not reflected in the price!!!! also the jewellery i had cleaned and repaired came back to me considerabley shorter and lighter than they were when i gave them in for the work to be done!!! the same items were also damaged. Sadly the manager of marti la perla would not involve himself in the matter and totally distanced himself from any responsibility in dealing with the jewellers as he claims they only rent the space from the hotel, this left me no other option than to involve the police who were already familiar with problems with Valentino who also have shops in marmaris.

Just got back and have to say this hotel is first class. Originally booked Half Board but
found the hotel quite expensive so upgraded to All Inclusive ( £100 per person per week). Well worth it if you can afford a little extra as it makes life so much easier and its cheaper in the long run as meals are quite expensive all around the resort.
The bars around the resort are very lively and loud so if you prefer a quieter meal then your best bet is to go to Mamaris Harbour.
The hotel rooms are immaculate and cleaned everyday, new towels and bedsheets changed daily.
Plenty of food choice (half a stone put on in 2 weeks :)
Entertainment : plenty of pool games and beach games arranged by the hard working entertainment team, special mention to Temel, Sedat , Ivana and Onur.
Evening entertainment could be better but they do have to cater for all nationalities.
Turkish people cannot do enough for you all very friendly. You do get a little hassle around the market area but you just tell them you are not interested and they are fine.
Must have a Turkish Bath and a trip to the mud baths.
definitely would go back next year if I could afford it ;)

We have just returned (24th June) from a week at the Hotel Marti and wish to reassure people that the buliding work taking place is not disruptive. The indoor pool has billboards up which have been painted very tastefully in lovely water colours with a lake and swan on them! The hotel entrance is not grand but once you go through reception and into the hotel gardens with the pools the setting is spectacular. The rooms are large but the bathroom could do with updating the tiles. We found the staff courteous and helpful and there were a lot of different nationalities there which was great when it came to watching Euro 2008. So glad we were all inclusive as it cost 6 lira for a coke and 18 lira for a cocktail. All cocktails, miller lager were included in all inclusive deal. Grounds immaculately kept and no problems getting a sun bed even though the hotel was full. Choice of food was better in the evening than at lunch time and the choice was varied. Icmeler is a lovely resort and the people there don't hassle you as much as other resorts. So glad I did not cancel when Direct Holidays rang to advise me building work was taking place and said I could cancel and get a full refund.
