Will not be beaten for the price
from chilledoutman
Got back last week after a 7 night stay and had a great time. Lets get one thing clear, if you are expecting the hilton or marriot then this is not for you. However me and my partner payed 60 GBP for the full week. Yes thats 30 quid each. We booked directly with the hotel and everything went as planned. It is worth arranging your transfer with the hotel 20 pound each one way as we made the mistake of chancing the airport taxi and could not get anything cheaper then £60 they will NOT barter the price. Rooms are not massive but are very clean and towels etc get changed every day. They also changed our sheets after a couple of days. We had a problem with the aircon on arrival but a quick call to reception and it was fixed within half an hour. aircone was 3 quid a day. As mentioned the hotel grounds are really well kept with lots of stunning flora and flowers etc. Poolside is excellent and you can get a sunbed easily enough no towels down at 5am! Breakfast is simple so dont expect full english breakfasts, i stuck to cerial and some chesse sandwhiches. We never bothered with the evening meal but most guests seemed happy enough. You could actually get half board for an extra 20 quid each so if you want to have a really cheap stay then maybe go for this deal. we liked the resort becasue it was in a poistion making it easy to get to fethiye hisaranu or olu deniz. All are serviced by local dolmus which runs every 5 minutes to all resorts. Transport is cheap (less then a quid one way) safe and reliable. The hotel also offer a free service to the lagoon to a private beach, it is worth getting the bus and then going to the other beaches close by. We went to sugerbeach which was a couploe of minutes walk from the beach you get dropped off at. Justget dropped off and leave straight away on the rd you came in on. Out of the three resorts here is a little review Olu deniz is stunning but very busy it was also really hot its a nice place but a bit more exspensive then the other resorts. Expect to pay around 20-30 quid for an evening meal. Hiseranu is very tacky we did not really like it although there are some good resterounts. we were told to stay away from the all you can eat places which were populer to be fair but mainly with overweight brits who liked to pile the plate high with food. We went to the dragonora chinese and the rainbow indian. Both excellent and worth paying the extra couple of quid for some authentic food. If you like to get drunk and like tacky bars then hiseranu is good for you. To be honest if I was 18 again and with the lads I would probably have a good time. Fethiye is the pace to be if you want a little bit of culture. We went to the market which is excellent on a tuesday and bought some spices and other cheap things. A fake harrods towel for a fiver for example lol. There are some nice places to eat around the town near the marina prices here are cheaprer then olu and hisaranu. The staff at the hotel really are freindly epsceially diagop and smiley who run the bar and pool area, both top guys who really make you feel welcome. It was really hot but you can feel the difference as the hotel is in the hills at the foot of the mountains. This hotel is not suitable for people with mobility issues so please bear this in mind. If you come here and book directly ask for a top floor room overlooking the pool we got lucky and got one and had an excellent view down to hiseranu and a grweat sunset. For the price it was superb 30 quid each is amazing!! Sorry about the spelling , cant be bothered to check it!!
Absolutely Wonderful - You Wont Be Disappointed
from MANCHESTERSCOUSER
Do stay here. I am a single retired gent and travel extensively. I wish there was a hotel like this everywhere! I have just returned from a 5 day stay at the Yel Holiday resort and would be happy to recommend it to anyone. The resort is spotlessly clean. My room was perfectly comfortable, basic but everything I needed including TV, Fridge, Air Conditioning which is £3 a day extra payable on check-in in GB Pounds if required. The room was cleaned every day with towels changed and fresh towels displayed artisticly on the bed with flowers. Breakfast is mainly Turkish breakfast with cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, bread, however, also melon, cereals, hard boiled eggs, tea, coffee, orange juice. The dinner buffet consists of delicious cold salads which is self service, however, the main hot dishes, which are fairly basic are ok and are served by the staff and the portions aren't very big, but you can always fill up with the salads and desserts. The hotel is set in beautiful gardens, very clean, nice relaxing pool area with plenty of comfortable sunbeds. The hotel staff are all excellent, extremely helpful and go out of their way to help you if you need it. I had my luggage lost and arrived at the hotel without any clothes. I was checked-in to the hotel by 'Emin' who is absolutely wonderful as are all the reception staff. Emin even took the time and trouble to chase up my luggage with my holiday rep and after his help it was returned to me within a few hours. I was extremely grateful to him for his kindness and efficiency - thank you Emin!
Fantastic place and staff!

We have just returned from Hotel Yel & can only sing it's praises. I had read the reviews prior to booking & had formed an impression of the rooms but I have to say the room was better than I thought it would be. It is worth knowing that they will put an extra bed in & therefore can sleep 4 so don't get ripped off by cheap holiday providers booking 2 rooms for a family like I did initially, we asked & got a refund. Definately book a taxi for your airport transfer through the hotel, it cost us £30gbp for 4 people each way. Would advise taking lots of sterling with you, they like it. The room was clean & comfy with plenty of hot water & a small fridge. Aircon was essential at night, sometimes the noise got on your nerves & we did end up with the sniffles which we think was from the a/c. Only other slight negative was the Hotel dogs barking at night so ask for a quiet room away from the bar & dogs if you have small children. They are very helpful & obliging. The gardens are beautiful & full of lovely aromas. The cleaners are lovely & come every day & change towels & bedding. All the staff made a huge fuss of our 2 children which they lapped up. The staff worked tirelessly all day every day, please leave a tip for them. The food was good for the price, the starters were usually the same every day but it was healthy and there was the option of soup. The pool was lovely & all the family enjoyed the slide. I'm afraid we started a trend of coming down it on the lilos! I had the impression that we were closer to the beach but it was only a 15 min dolmus ride which were regular & cost 10 lira for 4 of us each way. The beach was busy but nice with plenty going on, def worth a visit. It was a bit pebbly in te water so take flip flops. Hisaronu was like a mini Blackpool but again great to visit especially at night. The atmosphere & lights & sounds all made for an interesting trip & great if you are a "shopper". Nearby there is a water park, 10 mins walk & again def worth a visit. We spent 6 hours going up & down the slides for £30 for all of us. Worth noting that the slides close for an hour, think it was 1 til 2 but you can stay in the park. Good fun. The entertainment most nights was brilliant & you could join in if you wanted. All in all good value for money & would go back although perhaps not Aug as very hot!
Lovely holiday

My husband and I have just returned from holiday at Yel hotel. It was our first time to Turkey. We didn't expect much for what we paid, just needed a short break. But we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel (good 3*), people (very friendly and helpful), Blue Lagoon (the warmest sea ever), food (colourful and healthy) and atmosphere. We can recommend this hotel to everyone and if anyone is complaining - they must be mad! Excellent value for what you pay! It is very hot in July-August (35-40C), so AIRCON is a must (you pay £3 extra a day). And do bring ANTI-MOSQUITO stuff! The pool area is very nice but we are more the beach people so spent every day there. Take a minibus (£2 return) to the SEA HORSE BEACH which has good facilities and the restaurant serves proper turkish as well as international food. In return they'll take and bring you back from the hotel for free every day (you do pay for sunbeds like everywhere else though). Otherwise the hotel arranges minibus to the nearby Joseph beach which is OK but not as nice. They are not connected to the hotel so we didn't feel guilty doing our own thing. Staff in the hotel (as everyone in the resort) are so friendly you can't help but be suspicious. Don't be! It's their nature - they can't help being nice which makes holidaymakers coming back. Everyone we met have been to Turkey 10-15 times! We usually go to France, Portugal or Spain and never before we met such warm people. Yes, there is commerce involved, but still. In the shops you say 'No thanks' and you always hear 'Thank you' back. We normally don't talk to anyone on holiday but this time everyone tells you where to go best and how to do things so you start doing the same thing! It is a big plus for turkish people - their HOSPITALITY. Nothing is too much for them. We asked for the good room when booked and we had it. But it was a bit noisy at night as it was overlooking the pool and restaurant. The next morning we asked to changed it (not really hoping) and were told: 'No problem'. In 10 min we had a quiet room. We couldn't believe it. Elsewhere you struggle to do that. FOOD in the hotel is very good, similar to greek with aubergines, ougurts, various salads etc. Hot dishes are not too spactacular but after you try cold buffet (huge choice) - it doesn't really matter as you are full anyway. I personally prefer olives for dinner rather that breakfast but it's turkish tradition and when you pay £70 Half Board a week how can you complain? Probably 60% guests were turkish which was quite nice to blend with locals. The rest were british. Hotel staff try their best to make you happy and welcome and feed you well so we must say this - PLEASE BUY SOME DRINK WITH YOUR DINNER! We saw lots of people stuffing their faces with 3 courses and not buying even a bottle a water (£1 by the way)! Don't disgrace the nation! If you can't afford this or £10 bottle a wine on your holiday than maybe you should stay at home. If we were staying for 2 weeks, we would (just for a change)definitely try the local restaurant down the road (72 year old man owns it and his wife bakes bread in the garden in front of you). We had a drink there one evening on the way to the hotel and their charming waiter insisted we had his dinner (freshly made stuffed pida) as we were curious when we saw it being made. And 10 min later he run home to bring another sample of tirkish cuisine (his mum's cooking) for us to try. We were overwhelmed and decided to dine there the next evening. Then we approached the hotel restaurant and the manager greeted us with 'Where have you been?!' He was seriously upset we would not turn up (I suppose buying a bottle of wine every night helped), so we felt like naughty children and didn't dare to eat elsewhere on our last night. We'll never forget this, it was so touching, never had so much laughter. It was ENTERTAINMENT most nights which made us wonder how they did it for the money you pay? They CLEAN rooms every day and bathrooms are in much better state than in most European hotels. Rooms are basic but somehow nice. Do book TRANSFERS in advance. We didn't and ended up paying £60 taxi (normally £75). In the hotel they don't rip you off and £30 transfer back to the airport was very reasonable. Take some ££ with you as they accept it everywhere. Book trips from the hotel. We booked PARAGLIDING with them (£45-50 each plus extra £45 for video and photos if you want them). You can save on the latter bringing your own camera. Great experience! But be warned - driving up the 2000m mountain is terrifying, flying is an easy bit. Well worth it though. We want to thank all the staff at the hotel for making our first visit to Turkey very relaxing and memorable. Laura and Steve
Brilliant Holiday!
from Ann_Brian08
We have just arrived back from Yel Hotel and it was a brilliant hotel with lovely surroundings. Food and hospitality was excellent. Loved the beach which was a short bus ride away. The staff were really really nice, rooms cleaned daily and flowers laid on the beds too! The room included a fridge, air-conditioning and a safe (extra charge but was only a pound a day!) The pool was very clean and always a bed available no matter what time of day it was. Overall we cant say a bad thing about it, not even a small grumble! We will be returning next year for sure.
Not for singles?
from SingletonLondon
A last minute holiday opportunity led me to book a week at the Yel Holiday Resort, and for the first time ever found myself travelling alone which was a bit of a daunting prospect. However, on arrival, I found all of the staff were welcoming, courteous and extremely friendly. The majority of the other guests were either with their partners or family but as a 'singleton' this did not stop me from having a good holiday. The bar and waiting staff quickly learnt my name and remembered it throughout my stay. Special thanks go to Diego, Smiley and Dursan although to pick these three seems rather mean to the others. The accomodation was basic, clean and comfortable, and the cleaning staff were unobutrusive and helpful. The pool, surrounding area and gardens were also well maintained. Food at the hotel was good rather than fantastic but I would have prefered to have a bigger choice of Turkish dishes. A place for singles? Well, I enjoyed my stay but the out of the way location and family atmosphere may not suit everyone travelling alone.
good hotel ..but....
from galleon586
Spent two weeks at the Yell in late July, early August this year. Good points: Staff - friendly and helpful and efficient. Room - very clean but a bit on the small side - rooms fronting the pool area could be noisy late at night early hours.... ... Location - Not really suitable for those with mobility difficulties; quite good situation and cooler than town based hotels because of the height ( absolute necessity at 40C + ! ) Easy dolmus ride to Fetiye and or OluDeniz and Hisaronu.... food - acceptable, but definitely not gourmet standard. Value - accommodation price fair value but.... bad points:- Prices....for food and drink.....definately OTT - especially bar prices in the hotel; especially for water. Bottled water is essential and to pay 3 or 4 times more than local supermarkets and being forbidden to bring in your own - is a bit much. Like a tax on survival really! Tips: Unless you like Blackpool with heat and junk food - avoid Hisaronu; ( where there NO Turkish restaurants! ) Go to Fethiye by dolmus instead... Dont buy water or change money at the airport; Organise any trips yourself for best value. Best local eaterie we found - within easy walking distance - was the Grand Ucel on the main road to Hisaronu....others were pretentious and expensive rubbish. Catch the d to Fethiye....
Turkish Delight
from Lancashire_Lad_69
We've just returned from an excellent week's holiday at the Yel. Whilst the Resort is situated away from Olu Deniz and Hisaronu, it only costs a quid by Dolmus (every 5 minutes or so) to get there. Also there is a twice a day Free shuttle to the beach. Our ROOM was spotlessly cleaned, beds were comfortable and had a regular linen change. The GROUNDS were well kept and included very clean public areas. There was children's playground and beautiful flowers were everywhere. The POOL was very large (40m or so) and was very, very clean. There was a water-slide and a separate children's pool. The POOL AREA contained lots of sunbeds (comfortable) and parasols. The STAFF were fantastic - Diego kept the service and entertainment flowing; Mike and Smiley kept the drinks flowing; whilst Hector and the other lads were always friendly and helpful. The BREAKFAST BUFFET was more than adequate, and the al-fresco DINNER Buffet or A La Carte were extremely tasty. 3 times per week, there was organised Evening Entertainment - with lots of regular, impromtu fun and games. WILL BE RETURNING.
Cracking Hotel
from NicholaSwallow
This hotel was basic but comfortable, clean and had a great pool. Its a bit out of the way but the local bus service is cheap and efficient for getting to the nearby towns and the staff were always available to help out when my friend and I needed taxis or directions. I would not recommend this hotel for elderly or disabled visitors as it has a lot of stairs and is situated on top of a hill, but overall I had a great stay here and a memerable holiday experience.
Fantastic
from Debj1967
Just returned from this hotel and it is fantastic, very clean and very friendly helpful staff. The hotel has a lovely pool with a slide that pleases the adults as well as the children, and it has lovely veiws over the mountains and Hisaronu. There was a good choice for the buffet breakfast but you could also ask one of the friendly waiters for omelette or fried eggs. Snacks are available most of the day and there is an a la carte and bufffet choice in the evenings which were both excellent. There is evening entertainment on most nights which included traditional turkish dancers and also Ali's fire eating show which was great. The hotel is also in a great location very close to Fethiye, Olu Deniz and the ghost village of Kayakoy. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and will be returning as soon as we can.
had agreat time at the yel staff friendly room clean bed very hard food basic but nice we went at the end of october and cleaning staff and familys were all so allowed to stay in the rooms and eat our food at the same time as us they were rude and there familys took the fun... more
