Stayed at the Yel in May 2009 and had a great time. Booked again with Travel Republic ( fantastic service ) for two weeks and paid £722 all inclusive for two people. If you take into account that the flights were just over £400 for the two of us, that leaves approx. £300 for a two week stay for two people all inclusive. Therefore, we stayed for a little over £11 per night each. This must be seen as great value for money.
Our room ( overlooking the pool ) was cleaned and our towels were changed daily. As this was the last two weeks of the season, the food was not as good as when we stayed in May. However, there was always something to eat, and we had no cause to eat out. Even though some of the portions were small, you could always go back for more. The breakfasts in particular were fantastic. The salad bar at lunch and dinner was amazing. The bar was open from 10a/m until 11p/m, and taking into account the money we paid, the drinks were great value for money.
The staff were again brilliant. Working from 7a/m until after 11p/m, and still with a smile on their face. Nothing was to much trouble for them. The young lady who cleaned around the pool area deserves a special mention. Ali and Louise ( good luck for your wedding in April ) are smashing.
My only complaint would be the photographer. I agree that a polite "no thank you" would make him leave you alone BUT i would not let him near my wife anyway. Some of the poses he tries to get the women to take up are boardering on rude. Watch out for him fellas', and if you do let him take your wife/girlfriends picture, make sure you are around. I was not the only guest to latch onto this.
The second week of our holiday we found about half a dozen T***** C*** reps staying at the hotel ( it can't be that bad if reps. are staying ). A couple of the girls started to play loud music in their room, but this was dealt with by the management. I must admit, that even though i was not with this company, the reps were really friendly and helpful.
Hisaronu, Olu Deniz and Fetiyhe are all a short Dolmus ride away. Great shopping and very little hassle ( except in the markets ).
All in all, a great holiday and i would definitely go back to the Yel.

I was pesimistic about the hol after reading the reviews but now I feel you can't believe the few miserable people that post bad reviews, we all have our own opinions and fair enough. I had a top time at the Yel and the area is beautiful. Yes some of the staff can be a little sleazy but you let them know and they get on with it. Ali is a top guy, entertainment was really good, and I understand you can't have entertainment all the time so then we went into town, which I loved. But the entertainment that their was was really good, especially the Gypsy dance show and Ali doing his party tricks! The club at the hotel was fun, different but fun.
The food was ok, not amazing but it was nice and I always had summat different, never went hungry either as there were pancakes available all day, breakfast, dinner, afternoon tea and tea, oh and midnight soup, although I missed this.
I always managed to get a sunbed at some point, yes most were taken up early but thats eager, cheeky people for you. The pool is really good although the slide could do with being on a few more times in the day, it was fun. Ali made the place more fun n interesting and I think I would go back to the Yel as it's situation is good and Turkey is cheap enough to be able to go out to eat.

My partner and I arrived at our hotel early morning 29th August with an open mind as always. We went to our room which was standard as expected for a 3* but extremely clean, good start. We unpacked and went down to breakfast at around 7am and found the sunbeds in the pool area all full of towels. The canteen, as I decided to call it, as it reminded me of an old butlins camp building was basic but clean, the breakfast was typical turkish which was acceptable. As the week prgressed we found the staff pandered to certain guests which I can only describe as poolside chaves. To get any kind of holiday comfort we had to pay to get to the nearest beach which was beautiful (billy's beach) highly recommended I might add. The so called regular courtesy bus from the hotel runs at 10am and 11am which was always too full and found that billy's beach organises free buses for their beach guest anyway! Fully inclusive! not! more full board, we never stopped in the hotel for lunch as there were no pool side beds unless one was willing to get up at 6am to grab one. There was supposed to be a coffee time from 4.30pm - 5.30pm which consisted of tiny slices of cake and a weak plastic beaker of coffee if you where lucky enough to get a piece due to the poolside chaves filling their plates with the stuff! Usually the cake was gone by 4.45pm. There was only one bar in the hotel which was next to the pool and we only used it twice as again the hotel chaves always where pandered to by the staff. On one occassion we were asked if were hotel guests although we both wore the bands on our wrists. Food portions were tiny and fruit drinks were watered down and served in school beakers. On the whole my first and last all inclusive holiday put me off ever doing it again. This hotel does not run a regular bus to the beach! and as its half way up a mountain transport is a must. The all inclusive offer needs attention although I was told this was their first year perhaps things might improve but I wouldn't tempt it again. I would definately return to this part of Turkey, its beautiful! but will chose more wisely where I stay next time. The Yell is ideal for people who just want to spend their time around the pool 24/7 and beware you have to be up at the crack of dawn to get a sunbed!
Advice: lovely for no hassle shopping and cafe/bars and theres a fun fair too
Activities: the blue lagoon is wonderful, go to billys beach, its sandy and there's a cafe/bar

Myself and my new Husband (yes it was our honeymoon!) stayed at the yel hotel from the 23rd - 31st August and found the place to be pleasant. Everything was kept very clean, including daily cleaning of the rooms. The maids aren't pushy and will let you sleep in if you ask them! The choice of drinks on all inclusive was good, despite the local lager being a bit watery, but the vodka measures they give you more than made up for it! The bar staff are polite and a good laugh. They even tried to teach us a few phrases in Turkish! Food was ok, probably the thing that let down the hotel the most. Things were always cooked fresh but there was quite a limited variety, especially for fussier eaters. There's only so much chips and salad my husband can eat! The hotel photographer was brilliant and took some really professional shots, so much so that we bought them all! The entertainment was good, but there could have been more for the kids, especially during the day as the volleyball is only open to taller kids and adults. Don't count on seeing the rep too much, as he was always late if he even turned up at all!
Advice: Hisaronu is a great town, fantastic for a good night out!
Activities: Hisar pub has really friendly staff and decent prices!

Hotel brilliant, read review before we went and it said 'if you are lookig for a Hilton dont go to the YELL', but it was spotless and very picturesque. Cant fault it in anyway - room cleaned and towels changed daily. All the staff friendly and chaty and couldnt do enough for you. Food was tasty with plenty of variety. Really enjoyed the themed nights and food. Entertainment provided during day and at night was excellent and we've been on plenty of cruises! Kids we're also well seen to; with afternoon quiet time out of the sun for them and the usual hloiday song dances at night for the kids. The entire hotel and staff very relaxed and at ease with kids. The picture of the pool doesn't do it justice and also doesnt show baby pool. The hotel is very accessable to all of the local villages, shops and night life. The 'dolmus' ran every 5 mins to Hisorono, Oldaneze, Feliyake, Ovacheck or if youre party was as big as our's (6) it was cheaper to flag down a taxi - all we're very reasonable. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would definately recommend it.

C & G from Manchester reviewed the Yel Holiday Resort Hotel"We arrived to be told we had no room for the 1st night as they were overbooked-it appears this happens a lot at this hotel and we had to stay in a cell in an unoccupied hotel nearby. We heard several similar stories re overbooking at this hotel. Various parties of 4 were approached on several occasions and asked if they could vacate one room and shared the other room for one night during their stay to help overbooking problem at hotel-this request was obviously declined by guests The food was limited and of poor quality and variety. There were too many guests and not enough sunbeds, umbrellas (they brought 7 on the 3rd day of our hols taking total to 19)-hotel was fully booked so approx 230 guests! Also there was insufficient seating at meal times, guests told us they had to leave main dining room to sat on loungers outside -although this did not affect us as we ate out from day 2 of the holiday even though we were all inclusive (mainly because of poor food and no choice). We had no hot water until we complain and then suddenly after a switch was adjusted outside our room we got hot water, others put up with cold water for their hols not realising hotel had control over water temp. Many people seemed to have stomach bug, which I feel was due to poor standards regarding food. Meals started late but finished dead on time. On the whole this was a hotel running on a very limited budget and still trying to cut corners to save more money! Very disappointed.....so glad we only booked a week, not two like some poor souls."

Lovely hotel. Staff were very courteous. Entertainment brilliant for kids - loads for them to do. Daytime pool entertainment excellent (weather permitting!) - watch out for Tito and his aqua aerobics! Food limited choice, but very good. Room was cleaned and towels changed daily. Don't think it suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Free bus to beach, but be prepared to pay for sunbeds & refreshments.
Advice: hisaronu very lively - lots of shops (remember to barter!) bars and restaraunts great.
Activities: Beach at Olu Deniz and boat trip on the Easy Rider - a whole day, plus lunch for a fiver!

Myself, boyfriend and our little boy Leo had a fab time at the resort.relaxing and enjoyable for the 7 days we were there....The staff were friendly, food and drinks were good too.Great view from the hotel and the bus was just 5 mins down the road.id recomend this place to anyone,clean rooms ,basic but you only sleep there as the weather was hot and everyone wants a tan!!!! we are going back next year and so looking forward to it ..

staff were brilliant,but one of them called smiley was top dog,had us laughing all day,but very greedy at football,diego was tops too but very rubbish at football,deniz was also a great guy but had a very rubbish team and liked to get beaten at football every week.....had a great time there would love to do back today?if only the evening meals were abit nicer,can,t fault the room and how clean the hotel was,but found it very expensive for drinks and snacks in the day,turkey seems to be getting very expensive everywere and the days of the cheap cloths and drink seem to be gone,would recomend this part of turkey and the hotel to anyone and after talking to other people on plane and airport am really glad i stopped at the yell.....thanks lads and cleaners xxx.

Both myself and my fiance spent what seemed like a very short week at the Yel Holiday Resort in Sept 2008. We both had an amazing time, the staff are extremely friendly and make you feel very welcome and part of the Yel family. Great for couples, ideal for those wishing to stay away from the hustle and bustle of city life in a relaxing and chilled out environment. Food was fine and varied main menu each day. Entertainment provided was first class! The hotel provided a free bus stuttle to a small private beach in Olu Deniz. You can also take the local bus to the Blue Lagoon which takes about 10 minutes by bus. We've already recommended this hotel to all our friends and family, and we're hoping to be back in a couple of years with our 'bambinos'. Thanks to Diego and all the team for making this a fabulous holiday! Kay and Jay :)

We stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it, couldn't have picked a better place! A top class hotel set in stunning surroundings. It's in the quieter area of Ovacik but only a short bus or taxi trip to more lively towns such as Fethiye, Olu Deniz or Hisaronu. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Pool area was lovely with a pleasant and friendly vibe. The bar had good entertainments and restaurant food was of good quality and reasonable value. Would definitely go back.
Only quibbles were that the free shuttle bus to the beach only goes to a very small and over crowded private beach. When we walked away to try and find the bigger beach and Blue Lagoon, the bus driver told us this was not permitted. When we explained we did not like the look of the private beach he quickly became irrate and very verbally aggressive. His unnecessary outburst left us feeling very uncomfortable and embarrassed and ruined this particular experience for us.
Also, there is no ATM facility at the hotel or surrounding area so you have to make sure you have plenty of money with you at all times, we were caught short a couple of times.

Last year myself and my daughter took a trip to turkey and found what i thought was a brilliant hotel. At first i didn't think it would be up to my standards BUT.......... it increased my standards by 2. The hotel its-self is fantastic lots of lovely inviting plants and staff everywhere you turn. The pool is fantastic with a slide for all ages and the pool is never too crowded there are lots of sunbeds so you are never looking for one. The staff are amazing especalily Diego, Smiley and Mikey- ask smiley for a smiley special cocktail, they are HOT. The rooms are cleaned every morning and all the towels are replaced with new ones and by the way when you get in your rooms there is a fridge- DO NOT EAT FROM IT, you end up paying for it. Overall this hotel is TOP NOCH. I would recomend this hotel to any one. What a fantastic 12 days. I loved it so much ive booked this hotel for every summer for the next 5 years.

Well, my daughter and I had our first holiday for 2 weeks (my daughter is 10) alone, and was a little nervous. We researched hotels on watchdog and **** and found that this hotel had the best reports. We took the plunge and went. NO REGRETS AT ALL!!!!This has to be the best holiday that we have ever had. The hotel was always very clean, rooms cleaned with fresh bed linen and towels every day. Staff are out of this world, Smiley, Mikey, Denis, bruske all the staff are so friendly and will do anything to help you, if you want sopmething or are struggling with anything at all, they are always there to help. Amazing holiday, excellent views and destination. You can catch the Dolmus (Bus) from outside the hotel into Fethiye, Olu Deniz or Hisaronu at a very cheap rate and they run every 10 minutes, or alternatively get a taxi, the hotel staff will arrange this for you.
We booked a couple of trips in Hisaronu, through Papirus, Fethiye market, I would advise that you don't do this trip and just go to Fethiye Market yourself as on the trip you only get 2 hours and ws a little boring. Jeep Safari - One of the ebst trips ever, ADVISABLE TO BOOK THIS TRIP - You do get wet but its so worth it, you will laugh all day, have a free mud bath, fantastic. Swimming with dolphins - amazing experience. But when you arrive be aware as they dont take pictures or videos but say that you can use your own for 15 lira each camera, so if you have a cam corder and a camera they will charge you 30 lira. But it was worth it, you cant put a price on a memory like that.
We will definately be going back there next year, before if possible. Staff even cried when we left!!!
A really nice palce to eat is called "3 Cheers" in Ovaick itself, i have never tasted food like it in my life. they also do turkish cookery lessons for women on a Thursady at 11am and all you pay is 5 lira and you can eat as much as you like, and that is also another experience, you do have to pay for your own drinks. But well worth it.
Can't say much more really apart from if you have never been then GO!!!!

Second time here. Last year we booked with Thomsons, but found out this year quite a few Hotels in the area had been withdrawn from the English market.
Not to worry though, at Christmas time Serdar the previous manager at the Yel e-mailed it's previous clients, giving details of deals at the Hotel, and thanking them for there continued support.
Diego, Smiley and Deniz are still there providing you with a holiday to remember.
Nothing was too much trouble for them, and all the staff want congratulating on the way they performed there duties.
Excellent holiday.
