me, my sister and our partners stayed at the Green Anatolia this june and thought it was great. the staff were very polite and helpful, the second we arrived the staff were more than happy to help carry our luggage to the room, which were clean and tidy and cleaned everyday.
we stayed half board and there was a wide range of food for breakfast and dinner and the service of clearing plates and serving drinks was fast and efficient.
the surroundings are beautiful and the hill down to the main town can be a bit tiring to walk back up but a taxi is only 10 lira which i think is very reasonable. the free shuttle bus to the beach is at 10am and brings you back later in the day which is a good advantage.
the only disadvantage is that there is only one night a week for entertainment so if you want that every night i suggest going into hisaronu, the main town area, but the bar is always open. hense the score of 8.
i think that if you are quiet and reserved this is why the staff weren't very chatty to you so not to bother you.
overall i think Green Anatolia is a great hotel and highly recommended. :)

Just after we had booked up for a fortnight at the Green Anatolia i read the reviews and was seriously considering changing it. So glad i didn't. We arrived at the hotel around 5am to relatively friendly reception, checked in and got our luggage carried up to our rooms. Rooms were basic but kept clean (maid service everyday) powerful shower, nice little balcony and best of all...FREE air con which was a complete life saver. The towels were changed every day and the bed sheets 2 or 3 times a week. The maid made little origami figures from our towels which was a nice touch.
The hotel surroundings are beautiful, up in the mountains it's so peaceful yet your close enough to the nightlife if you want to be. The so called "killer" hill can be a walk during the day in the heat but we managed it fairly easy and if you don't fancy it a taxi is only about £3.50. The walk into hisaronu takes about 10-15 minutes.
The food at the hotel wasn't upto much, we were half board but could probably have gone bed and breakfast. Breakfast at the hotel was eggs (fried, scrambled, boiled) Chopped sausages in tomato sauce, tomatoes and as a treat you'd get french toast every now and then. There was also cereals, cheese and ham etc with lots of condiments but I wasn't too keen on the milk so cereal wasn't really an option. Tea coffee and juice etc is free with your breakfast. The evening meal was a bit better but quite repetitive, turkish night was the best as they had chicken kebab meat which was beautiful and fish night is good providing you like fish. All drinks with your evening meal you have to pay for, the hotel prices at the bar/shop are more expensive but they have to make money somewhere and we werent in the hotel enough to grudge paying £2.50 for a beer. The card system they use at the hotel is also a great idea as it saves you from carrying money about the pool or at night when your sitting having a few drinks after dinner. I would recommend paying it off regularly though to keep track of your spendings.
Food and drink from outside the hotel is not to be brought in and I had heard of people having their beach bags etc searched but we werent searched once and had quite a few nights drinking wine and vodka on the balcony...I really don't think they mind that much as long as you arent throwing rowdy parties or leaving your empty bottles for the maid to bin. There isn't a great deal to do in hisraonu unless you want to eat, drink and party hard. The shopping gets a bit repetitive as everyone sells the same things but again we didn't find this a problem as we were out most of the time on excursions.
Overall this was a fab holiday and I can highly reccomend the Green Anatolia.
P.s, we also booked with Goldtrail who went bust whilst we were away, had absolutely no problems. Just a flight change which actually suited us better and didn't pay any extra. Result.
Recommendations:
Ali G at Pioneer travel for excursions
Scuba Diving (through Ali G)
Quad Biking (through Ali G)
Fethiye market
Ramos hotel (for a nice atmosphere, beanbags and free pool)
Swallows restaurant (excellent food and service)
Pine Valley hotel (I think thats what its called) for turkish bath.

It's one of the best holidays ive ever been on there's plenty to do for both children, adults and teens. When we went, there was a big bundle of us (around 16 people in total). We all found no fault with the hotel at all. The staff are friendly and easy to approuch. The rooms are big clean and tidy. The air conditioning is amazing for when you get hot. It's easy to find your way around and the layouts fantastic. If your a relaxed lyed back person who doesn't like much noise. You have a seperate pool and kids teens and even young adults go to the main pool. Its brilliant for the money and i love it there!

First impressions were of an attractive, well maintained hotel with lush gardens. Friendly reception and the room was ready on arrival at 5.00 am.
Room: Ground floor. 2 single beds plus one smaller bed. Plenty of room for me as traveling solo, OK for two plus child. Clean and tidy. Cool tiled floor. Not luxurious (furnished a la MFI) but plenty of cupboard space. Bathroom was OK, in need of a bit of re-grouting. Good water pressure and hot water in the shower all day. Small balcony/terrace with a nice view towards the pine-clad mountains. Lock box in the wardrobe was a small extra charge per day. Small portable TV with limited channel selection (only 1 English channel which was the news). Good air-con. Mini-bar well stocked and pricey as expected. I bought water and milk from the local store at sensible prices rather than from the hotel - against the rules, but I was not obvious about it and staff did not "search" me as some have experienced.
Breakfast: Standard fare, nothing special but perfectly adequate. Eggs galore, fried tomatoes, continental, fruit, cereal, toast, "juice drinks", tea and coffee. Fresh juice was extra (£3.00). As mentioned by others, the toaster was a joke, but by the end of the week it had been fixed!
Dinner: I did not eat here in the evenings (staying B&B) as I was biased against it by previous reviews. Smelled good, but seemed to be mostly barbecue. 25 TL (£10) can be better spent elsewhere. Those on half board that I spoke to had no complaints.
Facilities: Two nice pools, the larger one with a decent sized water slide. I used the smaller pool by my room. Steps in, shelving gently to 1.8 m. Cool, clean and inviting. I was up early and saw the attendant checking/adjusting the water quality every day. Sun beds with padded mats and umbrellas readily available. The early-morning towel brigade reserve the best spots (clientele almost entirely Brits, so it is not just the Germans who do this!). Tennis court and Turkish bath/massage available, but not for me. Pleasant breeze kept the temperature comfortable all day.
Bar/Shop: Payment is via your room card, no cash. A G&T was TL8.5 (about £4.00) made with "local" gin. Outside the hotel, beer (Efes) ranges from TL3.00 to TL8.50 depending on the bar. Expect it to be near the top end of this in the hotel. Shop sold the usual essentials: water, milk sweets, suntan lotion etc. No prices on view so expect to pay a premium for the convenience.
Location: At the top of a long hill heading through the edge of Ovacik down to Hisonaru. Steep enough that I would not choose to walk it at mid-day. About 20 min brisk walk to the far side of Hisonaru where the best restaurants are. The Olive Tree restaurant is outstanding and a breath of fresh air from the neon glitz and all you can eat "appeal" of the rest of the town. Hisonaru is not my cup of tea, so walking back out into the silence of the hillside was a relaxing way to end the evening and work off a few of the calories.
Activities: Paragliding, paragliding and paragliding. The Green Anatolia is on the route up the mountain (Babadag 1800-2000m). Ideal for early morning pick up for your first flight of the day. You can arrange other trips through the hotel or tour rep, although you will probably get the best price down in one of the towns. Olu Deniz is the nearest good beach. There is a free shuttle at 10.00 am from the hotel returning at 3.00 pm. The alternatives are a taxi (TL15-17 to the hotel gate) or local minibus (Dolmus, TL2.5 to Hisonaru/Ovacik). Ask nicely and you might get a trip back on one of the paragliding trucks. Only the very keen (read bonkers) would walk back up from Olu Deniz!
Previous trips to Olu Deniz I have stayed at the Montana Pine hotel which to be frank is better than the Green Anatolia but not by all that much. The Green Anatolia is astonishingly good value and I will certainly be staying there again.
- Advice: Fantastic value and quality.

I had a fantastic time at the green anatolia once you arrive you get given a card which is how you buy drinks ice creams and things. Its important you keep track on how much your spending because its easy to go over board, the hotel its self was really clean the pool was looked after the water was always fresh and if you just look to your left or right is all you can see is the mountines its amazing the set out that its in. I wasnt expecting this holiday to be good but it was and i really enjoyed getting to know the staff and learning abit of turkish which is not an every day thing. The slide there is good its not huge but its sensible for all ages i saw people at the age of 53 coming down the slide its not open all day due to the fact its noisy but its good fun.
The food is brillant it was perfect every night. The evening meals you alwayas had an option of what you wanted to eat. Breakfast was pefect the last three or 4 days i had eggy bread every day i thought i deserved a treat :) but there were plenty of other things to chosse from evening and morning.
The staff were really helpful and most of all really friendly. They were always smileing also always talking to you me and my family really felt welcome at this place. As soon as we arrived they took our luggage for us and took us to our room and as soon as we got into out room there was abouslty nouthing we could fault. Yes the rooms are small but to be honest its only somewhere to sleep.
Me and my family were at this hotel for 2 weeks and a couple of times we had a days out at the beach or we would go on a boat trip. I had a grate time on this jet ski that i managed to get the man down to 5lira from 25lira for 15minutes. The boat trips are sutiable for all ages you can just watch the sea eat your lunch have a drink and when you pull up into a few places you get all these guys coming to ask you if you would like to go on the banna boat or jet skii or the donuts. There were plenty of things to do during the time we spent in turkey. You can always get your price down. never say yes to one price :)
The town is not far away 10 minutes walk. There is a mini bus out side the hotel to take you to the beach whcih is worth going.
Now would i go back? Yes when im older with friends maybe take my boyfriend.

just returned from a two week stay at this hotel,The hotel itself is beautifully laid out with a very good swimming pool, also a slide which was switched on for you to use twice a day from 10.00 am to 12.00am and 2pm to 4pm. The breakfast consisted of fried eggs-scrambled eggs-bits of sausage or cerials and natural yoghurt.fruit was also available and coffee and tea. the bread was fresh each day but only one toaster which was very slow and kept breaking down, had to repeatably keep sending the bread through the toaster 6 or 7 times before it was toasted correctly, and you can imagine the queues that formed waiting your turn to get your bread toasted. plenty of people complained but nothing was ever done about it. The evening meal was soup to start which tasted ok but was a mystery as to what it was. Main meals were a disaster, ok if you like chicken all the time or what was supposed to be kebabs, wine was available at about 25 turkish lira a bottle or beer at 6 turkish lira. You cant pay cash for anything purchased at the hotel, and must use a credit card issued by the hotel to purchase anything.Ice cream is available at a cost from the hotel shop. Be warned to keep a good check of anything you buy from the hotel and to settle your bill daily to avoid running up a large accont. we were overcharged twice at the pool bar,and when we showed this to the waiters we were promised the money back but never ever received it. The rooms were basic and although beds were made up each day the rooms were hardly ever mopped out,we had dead bugs on the floor in open view which were never ever swept upTwice in our two weeks holiday the cleaners used to arrange uor towels in a heart shaped fashion sprinkled with petals of the local trees. It looked nice but was a wasted gesture as you needed to use your towel for showering etc. shower were excellent and nice and hot with plenty of water pressure to give your body a good pummeling. The hotel is situated up a mountain slope about a mile and a half from town,Not very good if your elderly or disabled as you have to use the local tax'is which charge 8 turkish lira each way.if you wait by the gate and ask other couples can you share a taxi it works out cheaper for all.You can walk down the hill and will take you about half an hour to reach town.Just down the hill from the hotel is a little bar called evita, this has a good nights entertainment on a thursday and saturday. The drinks are far cheaper here than at the anatolia. Beware when purchasing anything in the town they dont give you any change unless you stand there and demand it. Do not use the local jewelers to have your jewelery altered as we witnessed an english lady going berserk at one jeweler for stealing her diamond and ruby engagement ring which she gave them to alter, only to give her an entirely different ring back with one of the diamods and the ruby missing. When she threatened to call the police he laughed in her face and told her to call the president as well for all the good it would do.Dont attempt to walk back uphill to the hotel as its dark and unless you are 100% fit will give you a heart attack. Went to see a show in town at the talk of the town,Great show but a rip off.Your first drink is free which is a very small glass of wine or beer. Then they really rip you off,40 turkish lira for a bottle of wine and 10 for a beer.Imported spirits anything from 20 lira and mixers extra. Local bar called "Harry's bar was great.Drinks ok and made very welcome by english lady owner.Hotel has satelight tv for football matches but if bar staff dont want it on you have no chance of seeing the english football. Newspapers can be ordered with recepion but the put an extra charge on you bill for getting them.Be warned to take plenty of diarrhoea tablets as hotel food goes through you like a dose of salts, We had the trots for 9 days of our holiday and could'nt move far from the toilets. I for one am glad to be home again and would never use this hotel again.
- Advice: great little place.would recomend the boat trips or dining out by the sea front restaurants.

What a dreadful place. Arrived 07.00 Tues 18th Aug with my wife and daughter(17) 3 Adult paying customers. to be told by reception that Hotel was overbooked and no room for us! Despite being booked months before! Told to go to a luxurious and large apartment further down the road and we could eat for nothing each night at the Hotel as compensation.
The new accomodation was neither luxurious or large for 3 adults. One double bed and sofa bed. Toilet would not flush solid waste and we were forced to use the brush to get it away! Even before we started using the brush it was obviously a health hazard.
Told on Saturday we would have to move again or pay another £120. I asked to see "our" representive who arrived on Sunday. The "rep" told us he was a "resort advisor" and that we had to move or pay up. I have never met such an ignorant obnoxious person and was severely in need of a deoderant as his personal hygiene left a lot to be desired.
We were forced to pack our things again and move back to the Anatolia and put into an even smaller room. As compensation for this inconvenience we were given an offer of 2 free evening meals(did not use) a free security box(key was broken and when replaced with another the maintenance man took the key with him so did not use).
Overall the Hotel was very poor, service at the pool bar was pathetically slow. At one time there were a dozen or so people waiting for food and drink with only one person behind the bar who appeared not to know how to take an order!
If you like living in the middle of a Liverpool Council Estate then this is the place for you. The brochure description of a "family run" Hotel is as far from the mark as humanly possible.
Rude and ignorant staff, an even ruder "rep" made for the true holiday from hell.
In conclusion, my advice to anyone thinking of going to this Hotel is don't! Most of all do not have any dealings with Hotels4U. Baghdad for me next year for some peace and quiet!
You have been warned!

Having booked our holiday with Onthebeach.com for myself, my husband and our two young children we were very much looking forward to arriving at Green Anatolia. On our arrival we were told by the staff that the wrong room had been booked and it infact was a twin room. Clearly unsuitable for my family of 4. We were shouted at, told to go away and sort it out ourselves. My children were at this point very distressed and clearly upset. We were offered alternative accomodation at a different address which we reluctantly accepted. We then had to pay extra for things which were included in the price we had already paid to Green Anatolia. The hotel staff were rude, aggressive and intimidating on all levels during any contact we had with them. This happened to 6 other families on the same day as us. I would advise anybody who is considering booking a holiday at Green Anatolia to re consider. We stayed at Antas Apartments in the end and could not recommend them highly enough. It was the Owner of this property who in the end dealt with the staff at Green Anatolia on our behalf as they were far too aggressive and intimidating for anybody to speak to them on an adult basis.

Couples holiday 25+
Facilities
Excellent. Two nice pool areas. Rooms were clean and maids came everyday, faultless.
Prices
Expensive. You have to use a card (like a credit card) when buying water/snacks/drinks from the hotel, all of which were more expensive than other bars and shops. They do not except cash. We hardly used the card, and instead decided to sneak water/drinks/snacks in with our beach bags etc.
Food
Poor - Breakfast - Eggs was all they really had. No beans, tomatoes, bacon, mushrooms, hash browns, or decent sausages. Milk was awful so cereal was not an option.
Dinner - Poor quality for the hot food section, it was tinned and definitely not fresh.
Selection of salads was good though. Deserts seemed to be what ever was left over from the night before. If you enjoy good local produce well cooked then do not book h/b.
Overall
We paid 7.50 each per night for h/b. Cheap. Which meant we had money to go and eat out on several occasions (olu deniz beach front)
Hotel was great, would recommend, but not for the food.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised of how beautiful the surrounds were. The hotel itself was really nice and all aspects of the hotel were cleaned daily by very friendly staff.
The hotel rooms were really nice and suited our every need. The pool was fantastic and always kept clean and there were plenty of sun beds available. Also, there were two different pools one for a nice relaxing and the other one to spend with the family or young children.
Breakfast was a basic continental breakfast but what was served was cooked well and was tasty.
The only problems we had during our stay was the fact that we could not pay for drinks/food etc upfront but was kept a tab system was in place. This can make it harder to keep an eye on how much you are spending so I do encourage people to pay their tab on a daily basis.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family. We are also thinking of returning this summer.

Having read comments on this website (and others) we travelled to turkey with high hopes of another wonderful holiday. Whilst I do agree the room, though small, was comfortable and clean, we found the hotel to be anything but welcoming. The staff were friendly but not knowledgeable, or particularly helpful. The pool bar (only bar on the complex) wasn't always manned, but that really wasn't too much of a problem as the prices charged were nothing short of extortionate - 33 lira (approx 16 GBP) for two (local) vodka and coke.... you have to be kidding me! The beer wasn't any better at 15 lira (8 GBP) for a couple of bottles, local beer (Efes) being three times more than the town bars - and don't even open the mini bar! The food available to buy at the bar (burgers, pizzas, chips) etc is on a par price wise. This makes lazy days round the pool, or nights 'in' far too expensive to enjoy - what a pity.
Unfortunately we haven't much nicer comments to make on the food either - bland, little choice, too much repartition. We avoided breakfast and dinner from day two.
On entering the hotel there's notice asking that patrons do not bring food or drink purchased from outsdie into the hotel or it will be confiscated - a nice touch?!
The whole complex is well looked after and picturesque, but this is only surface deep, and I suspect that British holiday makers, wanting a comfortable 4 star hotel, will soon elect NOT to visit this one!
The resorts (Olu Deniz/Hisaronu) have become more expensive this year so prepare to pay the same prices as UK.
