Submitted By: Lubiluthe breakfast was a different matter. I thought it was poor and very limited. You had a choice of eggs, fried, scrambled or bolied. there was bread that could be toasted and there was also jams and honey as well as cheese and cold meats but these also came with wasps!! It sounds ok but it was of not really good quality. You could have orange juice or water for cold drinks or coffee and tea if you wanted a hot drink.
The hotel was extremely expensive for lunch and dinner. they wanted £16 for a calzone pizza at lunch time!! £1.70 for a coke and £2.20 for an ice cream. the burgers were awful hardly any meat at all. Lunch for 4 people on a daily basis was about £30 so we thought it was alot of money for not great quality and £30 a day for lunch x 12 days soon adds up.
the problem was that the hotel is fairly remote and at the top of a very steep hill. If you wanted to go else where you had to walk down the hill - not a problem- but then the walk up the hill was a killer!! we didn't bother.
the hotel is on two levels with a smaller quieter pool up on the higher level where the family rooms were allocated. there are five, two storey blocks surounding the main pool and three blocks surrounding the smaller pool.
They don't like it if you bring food in from outside and will sometimes check your bags.
The housekeeping wasn't brilliant either, there were numerous days when our room had not been cleaned till 6.30pm so when you got in from your day out you have no clean towels etc and twice there was no hot water when you wanted to get showered.
To get into the nearest town of Hisaranou you had to either walk down the hill - fairly pleasant and a good 15 min walk. or you get a taxi which costs 8 lira down and 8 lira back up the hill.
We went on the domus bus to Ouli Denize and that cost 2.50 lira each person one way.
We went to Fethyie by taxi and cost us 35 lira each way. a big port and pretty.
Hisaronu is basically one street with lots of shops and restaurants on either side trading the same things. most of the restaurants had the same menu offering the same food.
the restaurant called robin hood and the lemon tree were good.
the beach in olu deniz was lovely but very hot.
all in all a lovely but expensive holiday, we spent double amount we had anticipated, but hey!

Submitted By: Miss S DaviesA couple of days later my father and sister decided to join and we all ended up in this hotel and had a brilliant time.
The hotel looks absolutely stunning especially when you arrive first thing on a morning. The reception staff were friendly and had our case carried to our room. (Bonus). Room was very clean and good size with balcony looking over the pool which just made it even better.
The credit card system around the pool is a fab idea means you don't need to carry any cash with you if you know you are staying there for the day. It is slightly more expensive than out of the hotel but the portions and quality of the food brilliant. This counts for the evening meal aswell. We did not stay there all nights as wanted to venture out, but the nights we did the food was lovely and spoilt for choice. Would recommend the Turkish night male belly dancers very funny!!!
The hotel is about 15mins walk from Hisaronu fine going down but can be tiring coming back especially in the heat. Restaurant at the bottom of the hill was really good had cocktails all night and the food was probably some of the best we had (cant remember the name sorry). One to avoid is the sun trap the food was terrible and the service really bad.
A definite is going into Olu Deniz on the night there is a whole section on the beach with a Moroccan feel, bean bags rugs etc and again perfect for cocktails and would defiantly recommend the sea horse restaurant, food amazing and staff lovely.
Loads more I can say but I would defiantly recommend the hotel just couldn't fault it. Brilliant holiday and think we are going to try and go with friends next year.

Submitted By: Mrs RH HodgsonThe staff at the hotel are lovely and very friendly, and are very relaxed in their approach. The drinks at the hotel were very expensive, I ordered a martini and lemonade and it cost me 10 lira, which is about £4.
The food at the hotel was delicious, and was varied every night. I think that next time we would go B&B as eating out is so cheap, and there are so many places to eat in Hirosinou which is only a 10 minute walk away. We will definitely go back to the hotel and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Submitted By: Mr A JacksonAn attractive hotel in lovely surroundings in the mountains and a bit cooler because of this. A short walk from Ovacik/Hisaronu. We did not like Hisaronu because it is entirely geared to British tourists with loud bars and restaurants like the Union Jack serving English food with prices in GBP. Olu Deniz is better. We hired a car for a week from car-dalaman.com. If you use Dalaman cars though get the guy to agree at the start how much petrol is in the vehicle otherwise you'll find yourself charged more than is necessary at point of drop off - but we suspect he was making a tip for himself. So he'd probably find another way to do it anyway.
We explored most of the area around which was fantastic. Especially recommend Dalyan boat trip (but shop around as for a party of 6 we were variously quoted 250ytl down to 50ytl) and Salikent gorge. We found Pammukale a bit far to travel in a day and the thermal baths are great but expensive for Turkey. If you hire a car - we recommend that you buy a road map from a decent Travel bookshop in the UK as you can't find them in Turkey (for national security reasons).
" Told you we would be going back!
Even though I have dropped the overall rating down to 8 out of 10, we still had a fantastic holiday.
The reason I have only given 8 this time is due to the fact that because the hotel and the resort were very quiet, (because of bird flu and/or the world cup apparently), some of the services that were available last year, were not this year. For example, the pool bar round the small pool was not open at all and you had to go down to the large pool for food and drinks. There wasn't as much choice for breakfast this year no Turkish night or bbq, in fact, I thought the management seemed a bit disillusioned with the whole thing.
We asked the reason why some facilities were not available and was told it was because the hotel was very quiet.
However, it did have it's benefits because for a few days, my husband and I had the smaller pool all to ourselves.
We had a really good time here and will definitely go again. And as for the bird flu - that's us Brits totally overreacting again! I have never once visited a poultry farm on any of the holidays I have ever been on!
Have a good time.

Submitted By: Miss C MorganThe staff at the hotel are very friendly and will go out of there way to help you.
Only down side of the stay was the way you pay for food and drink in the hotel, rather than paying cash they use a credit card system where you pay at the end of the day. We enjoyed it that much where going back 6 weeks later.

Submitted By: Mr P HurstThe only difference that I could see to warrant a 4* rating compared with other similar hotels was the mini bar, otherwise standards were almost the same. On a down side was the hotels location, it is mentioned that Hisaronu was a 10 minute walk this is true as you are downhill all the way, they fail to mention that after a belly full of beer and food it takes you nearly twice as long and we ended up getting a taxi back most nights (10 lira) which became a bit of a bind.
The hotel had a policy of no food or drink to be brought in and a sign saying that any that was would be confiscated, I wouldn’t have minded so much if they weren’t charging 3 times as much for the same products a short walk away, I overcame this by taking my trusty back pack with me and having a secret stash in our wardrobe.
The resort itself was suffering from a lack of tourists due to maybe bird flu, world cup or terrorism or a combination, which was good for us but not for the people trying to make a living, if you need any trips booking and there is a lot to be seen I would recommend Explora travel on the main street, they are very efficient and friendly, ask for Ahmed (bloody nice bloke!).
To summarise if the Green Anatolia were in a better location then I might consider a return stay and if you don’t mind a bit of a hike to and from the resort then this hotel would suit.

Submitted By: Mrs K QuinnThe setting in the hills was lovely but no where did it tell you that the 800m to the centre was all down hill making it a hike back up again sometimes twice or three times a day. Mind you we did get used to it even hiked further up the hill into the mountains for a day trip.
We used the hotel bus to go to the beach and this was well worth it.
Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and we are looking at booking independently to go back next year on a BB basis.

Not when you realised how much everything was a chip cob was £3.50 in English money and a cornetto was £2.50. So I couldn’t afford to pay those prices for 2 weeks decided to bring my own drinks in for round the pool. Got it took away you were not allowed to bring food or drink purchased outside into the hotel.

Then realised after choosing the hotel for the pool and waterslide(for the kids) that the waterslide was on only between 10 and 12 and then again between 2 and 4 ok if it was the only pool but there was a quieter pool further up for those who wanted peace and quiet.

Lastly was told only 800m away from centre, it is a 20min walk up a steep hill and ended up getting a taxi home every night as children tired which cost a further £4.00 every night.
" Excellent accommodation, very clean,... "
Submitted By: Mrs J VernonExcellent facilities, the Turkish bath and massage are a must, £16 for both.
Even the walk up the hill every night became easier as the weeks went on, good exercise after all that amazing Turkish food?
Could not find one fault with the hotel, the resort or the people, in fact, we are booking again today for 2 weeks in June 06.
Facilities
Excellent. Two nice pool areas. Rooms were clean and maids came everyday, faultless.
Prices
Expensive. You have to use a card (like a credit card) when buying water/snacks/drinks from the hotel, all of which were more expensive than other bars and shops. They do not except cash. We hardly used the card, and instead decided to sneak water/drinks/snacks in with our beach bags etc.
Food
Poor - Breakfast - Eggs was all they really had. No beans, tomatoes, bacon, mushrooms, hash browns, or decent sausages. Milk was awful so cereal was not an option.
Dinner - Poor quality for the hot food section, it was tinned and definitely not fresh.
Selection of salads was good though. Deserts seemed to be what ever was left over from the night before. If you enjoy good local produce well cooked then do not book h/b.
Overall
We paid 7.50 each per night for h/b. Cheap. Which meant we had money to go and eat out on several occasions (olu deniz beach front)
Hotel was great, would recommend, but not for the food.
Advice: Locals are perssitant in there harasment. Yes please seems to be a popular phrase!
Activities: olu deniz beach front for food.
Good for: Beach
