Had a bit of a nighmare in the airport as we were left on a mini bus for an hour and a half while they waited for another flight to arrive with more passangers for our Hotel.
When we arrived at the Hotel at about 6pm our room was still being cleaned this was not too much of a problem however as we dumped our cases and went down for a drink thinking things can only get better. The Hotel has everyone says is in the most Beautiful surroundings the rooms quite small but adequite and clean. Our balcony was overlooking the mountains and lovely veiws over the town. It's a shame really that the prices of their drinks and lack of entertainment meant that not many people used the bar during the evenings choosing instead to wander into the town where the drinks were cheaper and plenty of entertainment (everyone we spoke to was of the same opinion) . The only entertainment in the Hotel was a Turkish Night on a Tuesday (ie a Belly Dancer) and a large screne television which was played loudly and continously even when we were eating our meals. With regards to the food there was plenty to choose from rather bland but adequit no real complaints there. The Hotel has two beautiful pools we used the quiter one when returning from the beach, there was always plenty of sun beds available. The Beaches are beautiful and a free bus takes you and brings you back every day. This area of Turkey is no longer Cheap and we found prices almost on a par with Europe so beware. Sun bed prices varied from 10 lira for two beds and an Umbrella to 16.50 lira depending which beach you used. We went paragliding with one of the companies on the beach, this was amazing and I would recommend it if you have the chance. All in all we had a lovely holiday its a shame as otheres have already mentioned that the management insists on such high prices a small bottle of water was 1.50 lira and we could get it in the town for 0.25 lira everyone appreciates they have to make a profit but they realy lose more than they gain by it.

I had a good time at this hotel, but the only thing i didn't like was breakfast service...yuk! Food was always exposed and covered in wasps. Staff did not make any attempt to get the wasps out of the dishes. Table cloths were not changed from the previous evening meal service (you see what was on the menu last night without even being there..yuk again).
I found the overall service changed in the evenings and it was excellent (maybe the Turkish aren't morning people). The food was great and there was loads to choose from. My god, they had the best puddings ever!!...yum..yum.. and if you go half board you can eat as much as you like!
Beware!! It's best to go half board because the hotel food and drink is very expensive. If you prefer going self cartering, then head down the road because there are cheaper restaurants and bars. Warning, the beach is not close and i had to get a cab because to walk there, it takes about 45 mins to 1 hour. Always haggle with taxi drivers to get a cheaper rate. At the beach they kept asking for 15 lira, but we said 12 lira or we would just get the bus.. this seemed to work everytime and the taxi operator would take our offer : )
Hopes this helps,
Miss Brown : )

This was mine(21) and my girlfriends (21) holiday and the location of this hotel is good it is only a 10 mins walk down to the town centre where all the bars are and the hotel itself we went with bed and breakfast but the food isnt the best so we ate out all the time even with a free breakfast....
But the rooms are very clean and we had a good view of from our balcony so i would reccomend this hotel to anyone but i would have gone all inclusive as on the final day our bill was high. But the mini bar and other things this hotel sells are very much over priced, for instance a can of coke was £2 in the mini bar and a plate of chips was £4.

We arrived in the early hours and our room was waiting for us. the rooms were basic and fairly clean. the hotel is set in lovely grounds- you could be in the alps! the pool is great but with no real shallow end, it seemed to be clean and nobody got any ear infections etc.
the breakfast was a different matter. I thought it was poor and very limited. You had a choice of eggs, fried, scrambled or bolied. there was bread that could be toasted and there was also jams and honey as well as cheese and cold meats but these also came with wasps!! It sounds ok but it was of not really good quality. You could have orange juice or water for cold drinks or coffee and tea if you wanted a hot drink.
The hotel was extremely expensive for lunch and dinner. they wanted £16 for a calzone pizza at lunch time!! £1.70 for a coke and £2.20 for an ice cream. the burgers were awful hardly any meat at all. Lunch for 4 people on a daily basis was about £30 so we thought it was alot of money for not great quality and £30 a day for lunch x 12 days soon adds up.
the problem was that the hotel is fairly remote and at the top of a very steep hill. If you wanted to go else where you had to walk down the hill - not a problem- but then the walk up the hill was a killer!! we didn't bother.
the hotel is on two levels with a smaller quieter pool up on the higher level where the family rooms were allocated. there are five, two storey blocks surounding the main pool and three blocks surrounding the smaller pool.
They don't like it if you bring food in from outside and will sometimes check your bags.
The housekeeping wasn't brilliant either, there were numerous days when our room had not been cleaned till 6.30pm so when you got in from your day out you have no clean towels etc and twice there was no hot water when you wanted to get showered.
To get into the nearest town of Hisaranou you had to either walk down the hill - fairly pleasant and a good 15 min walk. or you get a taxi which costs 8 lira down and 8 lira back up the hill.
We went on the domus bus to Ouli Denize and that cost 2.50 lira each person one way.
We went to Fethyie by taxi and cost us 35 lira each way. a big port and pretty.
Hisaronu is basically one street with lots of shops and restaurants on either side trading the same things. most of the restaurants had the same menu offering the same food.
the restaurant called robin hood and the lemon tree were good.
the beach in olu deniz was lovely but very hot.
all in all a lovely but expensive holiday, we spent double amount we had anticipated, but hey!

Me and my partner booked our holiday to Green Anatolia after looking for a cheap holiday and wanting to avoid the Euro!!! This deal cam up and seemed too good to miss. Having never been to Turkey before but recommended by family members we booked.
A couple of days later my father and sister decided to join and we all ended up in this hotel and had a brilliant time.
The hotel looks absolutely stunning especially when you arrive first thing on a morning. The reception staff were friendly and had our case carried to our room. (Bonus). Room was very clean and good size with balcony looking over the pool which just made it even better.
The credit card system around the pool is a fab idea means you don't need to carry any cash with you if you know you are staying there for the day. It is slightly more expensive than out of the hotel but the portions and quality of the food brilliant. This counts for the evening meal aswell. We did not stay there all nights as wanted to venture out, but the nights we did the food was lovely and spoilt for choice. Would recommend the Turkish night male belly dancers very funny!!!
The hotel is about 15mins walk from Hisaronu fine going down but can be tiring coming back especially in the heat. Restaurant at the bottom of the hill was really good had cocktails all night and the food was probably some of the best we had (cant remember the name sorry). One to avoid is the sun trap the food was terrible and the service really bad.
A definite is going into Olu Deniz on the night there is a whole section on the beach with a Moroccan feel, bean bags rugs etc and again perfect for cocktails and would defiantly recommend the sea horse restaurant, food amazing and staff lovely.
Loads more I can say but I would defiantly recommend the hotel just couldn't fault it. Brilliant holiday and think we are going to try and go with friends next year.

We have been going to this Hotel for 8 years - last year 3 times! We have taken young children, teenagers, friends and family and its just lovely. Ahu and Azu who run the hotel have high standards and like it kept that way. Its clean, tidy and the staff are just lovely especially Gerard and Chef. The Turkish bath has to be visited and we fall asleep while having a massage. The enetertainment is also good and so of course is the food. We are of course going again this year.
ps. laying on the sun bed looking at the para-gliders over the mountains is so relaxing.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Green Anatolia in May 2008 and it was a lovely holiday. The staff were very helpful and kind, and the resort was very nice and in a quiet location. It was just a short walk from the town Hisaronu. We ate breakfast daily at the hotel, there was always plenty of variety and we usually went into Hisaronu or Olu Deniz to eat lunches & dinners. Fethiye and Olu Deniz were both easy to get to via dolmus, which came about every 5 minutes along the main street. There was plenty to keep us occupied, would definitely go back again!

Green Anatolia Club and Hotel is set...
8 / 10
Oct 2007, Mr M Arbon

1 reader found this review helpful

Green Anatolia Club and Hotel is set up in the mountains above Hisaronu and is near to the resorts of Olu Deniz and Fethiye.
The first thing to be aware of is the hills, steps, and slopes. There are a lot of them which would make this hotel difficult for those who are mobility-impaired and impossible for anybody who is dependent on the use of a wheelchair. For anybody who is able-bodied and reasonably fit, however, this contributes to the charm.
The location of the hotel is good. Views are very picturesque and it's only a ten minute walk down the hill before you reach the main part of Hisaronu and start passing bars and restaurants, of which there are literally hundreds in total. So there's plenty of choice for eating and drinking out, and shopping for goods, many of which were obviously counterfeit.
Monday is market day and a great opportunity to browse and haggle the many clothes, bags, and linens stalls, but expect to get seriously pestered by the stall owners. One such stall owner seemed to think that part of the bartering process was to keep slapping me round the back of the head: it seems in general that physical contact in Turkey is not as taboo as it is in England.
Coming back from Hisaronu to the hotel means a climb up the hill but this is easily remedied with an 8 YTL (~£3) taxi ride. The hotel is also convenient for the beach at Olu Deniz. Although only 4km away it is not possible to walk owing to how mountainous it is, but the hotel runs a courtesy shuttle bus that takes you down to the beach at 10am and picks you up at 3pm again.
The hotel is clean and rooms modest but adequate. Our room had shower over bath, sink with large mirror, toilet, hairdryer, and basic soaps and shampoos were supplied. The hot water was hot and the shower good. The room also had adjustable air conditioning but this along with all room electrics were operated via the door key, so you couldn't leave anything on as you left the room. There was a very nice balcony with two chairs on it which was an excellent place to sit out of the sun with a great view.
After a while you begin to notice that the hotel had a rather strict approach to keeping costs under control at the hotel and I have to say this was the only downside to our stay. Not only was there the issue with the room electrics; the towels were thin and almost threadbare. The bed sheets were thin and tiny (if you're over 5 foot 10 expect either your feet or shoulders to stick out).
The drinks at the hotel are sold at rip-off prices (£1.50 for can of coke) and there is a big sign outside reception to say that any drinks or food brought in from outside the hotel will be confiscated.
The swimming pool was cold - unexpectedly so - and the water slide wasn't turned on unless you went and asked at reception, so don't sit there waiting for it to start working at the expected time!
The quality of the food was distinctly average. We paid to go half board but after sampling the first evening's dinner decided not to eat there again and to go out to one of the many restaurants and bars nearby in Hisaronu. In the end this was a blessing as exploring the bars and restaurants was fun, but this is not the hotel for those who don't like to venture out.
Staff were generally very friendly though and this together with a combination of the cleanliness and reasonable quality of the environment and the nice location mean that it gets 8/10. Just a shame about the thriftiness.
