My boyfriend and I have just returned from a fortnight at the Asena Village. We had such a great holiday we didn't want to come home! The staff (David - the bar manager, Mike - Entertainment Manager, Alfie, Muti, Mali, Erdem, Angel and Suleyman) really would do anything for you.The evening entertainment (and daytime pool games) were fantastic - never a dull moment! We stayed on a flexi-dine basis and so enjoyed one week half board and teh other bed and breakfast. The breakfast was nice , nothing special but something to suit everyone. The chef would make an omelette/pancakes to your order every other day (free of charge) and there was always plenty of fresh fruit, bread, cheese ham etc to choose from. The food in teh eveing was fine too - always plenty on offer although it's best if you go down early i.e. before 8.30 as you may miss out on the popular dishes! We stayed for two weeks and found taht we didn't have to leave the hotel for anything! Of course we dd venture into town adn down to teh Blue Lagoon but really The Asena Village caters for all! Can't wait to go back another year!
Great hotel great staff great place

Married couple early forties had read the reviews and were not disapointed. Arrived at three in the morning checked in saw our room basic but nice, and went to the bar where the staff were still dancing and entertaing until the sun came up. Had a lovely week in a very nice and friendly hotel serving good food (we ate in the a. la.carte three times lovely ) The staff just can`t do enough for you and as i said are as lively at three in the morning as at any time. Got back on the 3rd of july and are looking to go back in september with more family.
fantastic, Brilliant and Wonderful!!

Well what can I say, this was a fantastic hotel with well words cannot say how great the staff are they treat you like family. From the moment you check in till the day you go home you feel like part of a family. The bar staff david, alfie and the boys are great, Mike and the rest of the guys are great and Ramzam the restaurant manager and his guys are fantastic and make you feel so welcome. The food is wonderful especially the sunday lunch yorkshire pudds to die for and Im a yorkshire lass so they must be good. The rooms are clean everything about this hotel is out of this world I have been all over the world and to 5* hotels but this beats the lot of them by far in everyway, would just say though if you go to Olu Deniz beach take some beach shoes as it is pebbles. Once i have been too a resort I never go back but am already going back to the asena In september, And again next August honestly you wont be disappointed even the hotel Manager joins in with everything from morning till late at night.
13th time in Hisaronu, 1st at this hotel - nice place, shame about the music!
from Rolstones
We had an enjoyable stay in the main. The staff were very helpful and the manager, Junate, was very friendly - plus the A La Carte chef was exceptional..... Having the sheets and towels changed daily was particularly good. However - other review here reflected our views too - PARTICULARLY about the music. We asked if the constant rap music could be toned down a little, and varied with other types of music, which it was, but then it got back to 'normal' the next day. So much for a relaxing holiday with BOOM, BOOM in your ears day and night! One other comment - we would have liked the pool to be open later than 6pm as it would have been nice to enjoy a swim in the early evening, after the heat of the day, and when there were fewer children splashing about.
Lovely weeks break!

We had a lovely time at the Asena village in June 2007, my husband and I both in our 60's and never been to Turkey before, not knowing what to expect were very pleasantly surprised. Yes, the rooms are basic but very clean with linen and towels changed regularly. The food was excellent and the setting on the terraces for the evening meal was beautiful. The staff were lovely and very friendly and the ''boys'' dancing was entertaining to say the least!! We walked into Hisoronu a few times and went to the market, after a while the market traders get on your nerves with their banter but we just came away when we'd had enough, and did get some cheap T shirts. A boat trip is a nice thing to do for a change and a trip by dolmus to the blue lagoon is a must. Also we liked Fethiye, the harbour and prom are lovely. We will most certainly go back to Turkey and hopefully to the Asena Village. The only negative coment I have is that both our new suitcases were badly damaged on arrival in Turkey and we spent about 3/4 hour filling in forms at the airport.
Had a great time - highly recommended

We chose the Asena Village on the basis of its positive reviews on TripAdvisor, and were very pleased by our decision. We found all the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly throughout the holiday, although the hyperactive bar men can get a bit over-the-top sometimes (we don't all enjoy being blasted with a water pistol while trying to relax by the pool). Our room was small and basic, but perfectly adequate. Be warned, though, the bathrooms aren't particularly luxurious. Our room had a TV (even though the JMC brochure said it didn't have one) which had BBC World, and you could read the BBC News on the teletext. Even though it wasn't peak season when we went in June, there was some form of entertainment every evening, and on the whole it was of a good standard - various dancers, bingo, fun and games, etc. The hotel certainly has a great atmosphere in the evenings and it was usually a better option to stay there in the evening rather than wander into town. The food, on the whole, is very good and superb value for money if you have paid the extra for half board. The free breakfast is a little basic, and you have to pay extra for things like beans and freshly squeezed orange juice, but it's still very enjoyable. The evening meals are quite varied, and some nights are better than others, but the food is always high quality and there is usually something for everyone. The Sunday roast is fantastic - 3 choices of meat, Yorkshire pudding, gravy - better than most of the roasts we've eaten back home! The restaurant staff take great pride in their food and are keen for guests to eat (and drink) at the hotel every night rather than leave the premises. There is also an a-la-carte restaurant in the garden which is well priced and offers very good food and personal service. We used the poolside snack bar once for a pizza and an omelette, and really enjoyed it. Drinks at the bars are reasonable - approx £1.40 for a 500ml beer, £1 for a soft drink or coffee, although imported spirits are dear, as you would imagine. The pool is large, clean and wasn't too cold in June. We had some very enjoyable swims in it. General standards throughout the hotel are very clean and safe. The on-site shop is convenient but overpriced. For example, a large bottle of water costs 3 times more than in the "Azda" supermarket in the town. We were given a telling off by reception when they saw us bringing in a carrier bag containing crisps and drinks that we'd bought outside the hotel. Apparently this is forbidden, even though we bought the stuff to be consumed off the premises for our Jeep Safari the next day! Our advice is to smuggle any drinks past reception in a rucksack or holdall if you buy them in the town. You are given a card to buy drinks at the bar and food in the snack bar (they don't take cash) and pay the tab at reception. Since other reviewers on here expressed concern about the billing accuracy upon paying the tab, we decided to keep all our receipts and add them up. We're pleased to report that it all added up correctly and we weren't overcharged. You can also ask at reception for an itemised print-out of everything you bought with the card. Even though the hotel is only a 5-10 minute walk from the town, it can become a bit of a drag doing it every day. Good exercise, though! It's hard to find any serious faults with the Asena Village. We had a great time there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We've been on many package holidays all over Europe, and for the first time ever we think we've found a hotel we'd return to next year.
Fantastic holiday. Book it!
from Katfishh
Without a doubt the fantastic staff reallymade this holiday. They made you feel as if you were a guest in somebodys home - not a hotel. Here's a summary of holiday taken in July 2006 Weather : Fantastic every day. slighter cooler due to mountains and what a relief! We were melting when we visited Fetiye! Food: On my God. the food is amazing! A choice of about 35 dishes for breakfast; Fresh fruit;melon, watermelon, cherries, oranges, apricots, eggs: boiled, omelette/ or fried with bacon, cereal, yogurts (home made!) , cheese, jams, selection of rolls. and so on. Go half board. The food is so good it will be hard to tear yourself away from the restaurant. The food in the Enchanted Garden is fantastic, and they have rabbits there for the children. ((For cuddles ..NOT eating!) Apparently they have tortoises wandering around the resort, as well as tame rabbits. Its close to stables for horse riding, and a short walk into Hisaronu. The entertainment is the best I've ever seen at a hotel (and I've stayed in some great 5 star hotels worldwide), especially the Turkish night and MALE belly dancer (Wow!). Dont hesitate. Turkey is amazing, The people warm and lovely. Go - you will definitely return - we are - this year! I cant believe i did - but I actaully cried when I had to come home. Never done that before!
Good Hotel
from ToryNorwich
I stayed at this hotel last summer and visited it again while on holiday this year. It is in an ideal location close to the centre of Hisaronu. The room was an average size, very clean and maids changed bed linen and towels regularly. The pool area is very nice with a shaded cushioned chill out area for those who need to get out of the sun. Staff are friendly, the food is really good. We only stayed on a bed and breakfast deal but ate at the hotel one evening for the Tukish night, it was good entertainment and great food. Lots of choice for breakfast too. I would say this hotel is very much for families, a good entertainment team for the children. They also have a lovely shaded garden area with a tree house to sit in, very relaxing. The food and drinks are of normal price for a hotel, however if you would like a turkish bath or massage it is cheaper in the town centre. We paid £25 each and its about £10-15 elsewhere.
we loved the Asena Village
from kaggs
We had a fantastic holiday at the Asena village. The staff were brilliant, they made you feel so welcome, they work so hard and they really want YOU to enjoy your hols!Nothing is to much trouble, for example,it was our son Seans 10th birthday and Alfie arranged a birthday cake ect..,the bar staff came and sang happy birthday and made such a fuss it made Sean's day! We were half board and the meals were excellent. The accommodation was clean and spacious. Our boys loved the pool and the daytime actvities and we also enjoyed the evening shows especially David and staff and their dance routines!!! As for Hisonarou it was our sixth holiday in this area.We have been from 1990 onwards and have seen many changes(the village is ABIT more livlier!!)but we still love the place and it's people. There are so many things to see and do including great boat trips, for fishing and diving in perfect, clear waters with good lunches included, horse riding(fantastic view of Olu Deniz when you reach the top of the mountain treck), the market if you can stand the heat, but best of all the jeep safari! Our boys said it was their best day out EVER,and one of ours too! We booked with caladiandra(?!)in the village and we had a great tour guide who had a great sense of humour,we laughed all day, even when we got soaked in cold water, say no more!! We also like Olu deniz of course, its lovely when you are in the warm sea looking up to the beautiful mountains and a great scenic view when you are coming down in a dolmus (I value my life too much to try the paragliding off Bagadad!-no too scared really!) Thanks to all the staff and management of the Asena ,you are great(music, down abit!!!), all the friends we met, especially Julie,Zak ,Peta and Mick,we had a great time and I am sure we'll be back again !!!! Staff bent over backwards
from Maximoo
Well; We have just got back from one of the best holidays ever, without a doubt the most friendliest of staff and Junate the manager is a top geezer. The staff were given a stiff warning about the music by Junate and rest assured it is now a variety of music at normal level and no swearing (ranges from total chill out to Phil Collins and Usher). We mentioned we missed having fruit to hand and having to go into market to get our fruit and low and behold they started to bring fruit around the pool and l must say the most beautiful peaches and melon l ever tasted (really). There were 14 of us in our party aged between 5 to 44 and went for a total of 23 days (still not long enough) we really did not want to come home; oh and the best place to book excursions is not the one mentioned before, but a company opposite them called 'Cadianda' who were fantastic and NEVER let you down, they also told you how it was and whether it was worth going on, not just interested in getting your excursion money unlike some l could but won't mention. Best meal we had was actually on the Al le carte menu in the hotel itself at a real reasonable price 'Chicken Princess' YUM, but other then that 'Robin Hood' was good and 'Beach Boys' whom we left an England shirt to pin up - n say hello to Hero who works there for a lovely good old English and take away kebab. Anyone going please say a big hello to Ramazan on the terrace bar and Dave (Bar Manager) just mention Shrek and Mini-me they will know exactly who we are (we really left our mark). The rooms are small but basic although our family room is quite adiquate for the four of us, but the rooms catering for twin room occupancy of maximum 3 are a squash, but really for the amount of time spent in your room it's do-able. Jeep Safari and White Water Rafting a real must, but l suggest getting a private tour and going to Saklikent Gorge for a day out rather then the little time you get on the jeep safari. Oh and one last thing l forgot to mention the hotel photographer Mehmet, well l have never seen such beautiful photo's you just can not - not buy them, no one takes a good photo of me but this guy works miracles every single photo he took was fantastic and you can book family photos with him in the gardens, trust me you will buy them. Big hugs to everyone there - loved them to pieces and miss you all already - Life is now quiet-er for you now were gone.
We stayed at the Asena in August this year and we could not fault it. Every where was cleaned everyday and the staff went out of their way to help you and to make sure you had a fabulous holiday. The food and drink was fab as was the entertainment. Lovely reception area... more
