We read the reviews after we had booked and it said "Don't Go". It can't be that bad we thought, but it was. This was probably the worst All Inclusive Hotel we have been to. You have to sign for every drink you have, which takes an age. If you abuse the all inclusive... more

We've been all around the world, so have lots of comparisons. For £600 total for the two of us on an all-inclusive ticket at a 4* hotel, you cannot beat it. I cannot fault the staff, the food, the amenities, everything. It was absolutely wonderful!
I would recommend it to anyone!

My Wife and I stayed from the 19th to the 26th of May. I thought the Hotel was very good, as was the food. The only downside was the entertainment as it was all in Spanish. It seems they cater for the Spanish Pensioners, who go up to the end of May, FREE. Maybe our... more

excellent hotel
Just returned from the costa just had to say that we stayed in the best belemedena hotel and was really pleased with the hotel. the rooms were very spacious with great views, many overlooking the sea. we stayed as an all inclusive option, which we found to be reaaly good. the food was great and with plenty of choice. the staff were very welcoming throughout our stay. the only downside was that the entertainment could have been better, i would recommend this hotel to couples and families alike.
Super 4 star !
In fact , BB is full 4 star hotel with perfect rooms (interior + bedding), excellent sea views and high-level stuff. Fast cable internet provided everywhere.Very good sound insulation ! Pool is small , but you are just 50 meters from sea !! Food -absolutely OK.
3 STAR POSING AS 4 STAR
Our room was of a good standard for a 4 star hotel with 2 huge beds and well decorated. The bathroom was also good. What let this hotel down was the main road which runs alongside the hotel and was very busy all through the night. The restaurant was very poor. Breakfast was the best meal of the day and we had litle complaint of this but the evening meal was definitely of a 3 star rating. The food was generally the same each evening with the one choice of vegetable changing a couple of times during our stay. There was little or no choice on potato's as it was chips or more chips. Deserts were the same each evening. I found it very disappointing that the dining room chairs were all very badly stained and the pigeon's living on a ledge above the windows meant that if you had a window table you looked out onto pigeon mess. The hotel is very close to the beach which is great but the pool area is very small. Perhaps we were disappointed because it was the end of the season and the hotel was winding down but it should be classed as a good 3 star and not a 4 star.
first class room and view
We stayed at the Best Benalmadena Hotel from Sept 11 2007 for one week. We enjoyed our holiday very much and in our opinion the hotel is a very good hotel. The room was huge with a wonderful sea view which I had requested and was cleaned nearly every day . All the staff were very helpful and pleasant and nearly all spoke english. The food was excellent and there was something different on the menu every night. The only complaint we had was there was only one bar, and that bar and room was where all the entertainment was held. There was no quiet corner where you could sit and just relax after your evening meal. There also did not seem to be any table service in the bar and the queues to get a drink were extremely long with sometimes only one serving. Other than this we found this hotel lovely. It has a lovely position on the beach and is situated at the quieter end of the resort which suited us. If you want the lively end it is only about a fifteen minute walk from the hotel. The marina however is quite a bit further. The taxi fare from the airport to the hotel was 22 euros, and the taxi ranks were very well organised.
What a Shame
A pleasant hotel spoiled by the bar service and pool area. When, on your first day, you realise that the one and only bar only has one barman serving you know it's going to spoil your holiday and daily complaints to the manager didn't improve the situation. "I've put three staff on now" she said, however, one was serving, one was organising pizza and toasties and one was washing glasses - it just wasn't good enough. Poolside was very small with no 'quiet' areas and very rarely did anybody collect glasses/clean tables and only at about 8:00pm did you see anybody with a brush !! Benalmadena itself ......... apart from the Marina/harbour area it's like Blackpool, which might suit a lot of people but not me.
great food - shame about the spanish
There was 11 in our party staying all inclusive at the hotel with 2 16 year olds and one nine year old in our party. The hotel is immaculately clean and the food is first class. It varied everyday and catered for all tastes it was delicous and was top class the food was the best part of the holiday --- bring elasticated waist clothes you will definately need them!!!! The reception staff were friendly and could speak some english. The down side to the holiday was that we were the only English, some may love this and i thought it would be great --- but they do not socialise with you at all and have huge hang ups about us not being able to speak Spanish. In fact it was really upsetting at times as the staff at the bar were very very very rude and one said to my mother "when i come to your country i speak english when you come to mine you dont speak spanish" Point taken!! we are revising spanish for next year but wont go back to the same hotel!!!! as dont have to be treat so rudely. The other down side was all the entertainement was in spanish and they had great delight one night when a comedy act took the mick out of us obviously we did not have a clue as could not speak the lingo but it really was not on. The teenagers were really bored on a evening and so was the 9 year old no one to mix with and could not join in as no english was spoken and it has to be said the entertainment was very very poor for a 4 star - apart from the food and the cleanliness i would rate the hotel more 3.5 star. One of the bonuses of the hotel is that after lunch all the spanish go to their rooms for a siesta and we had the pool to ourselves for a few hours which was great. The resort itself is lovely however the hotel is out of the way and you have to get a bus everywhere. The weather is fantasic and there is some great beaches for water sports we visted the water park which was really really expensive and not value for money at all I would not go back - you had to hire your inflatables it cost about £10 each also Tivoli world which is great for young children but not good for the bigger ones or adults. The beaches are super and there is great nightlife we were told on our last day about a square called bonanza where there are some great english acts on but we did not have time to go. The place is busy but we had a great time with family and would go back again if you have the money I would book up for the riveira hotel its right on the beach and central to everything, everyone at the resort recommended it.
A winner
Visited this hotel for a five night bed and breakfast stay in late May 2007. Very pleasantly surprised by the sea view and size of bedroom, with balcony, two double beds, ample wardrobe space, fridge and television. Bring your own kettle though if you want tea or coffee. The bathroom was also of a good size and spotless. The breakfast selection was vast to say the least, everything from the fried- to- order menu, to fresh fruit and juices, cold meats, cheeses, breads, pancakes, even champagne if you wanted it. The reception staff were courteous and helpful, and spoke excellent English. If booking b&b don't worry, there are excellent restaurants within a short walk from the hotel, especially recommended is the La Cala near to the beach. The hotel will be more suitable for those seeking a quieter stay. Many of the guests were Spanish. It would be very difficult for us to find anything to fault with this four star hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely return again.
Great Choice
Large room with 2 doubles for 2 adults, A/C or heating avail. dependent on time of year. Food plentiful and loads of choice. Get down early to get a table near window and miss the rush. We had 2nd floor roon, sea view and only paid £111 H/B for 3 nights. Yes, lots of Spanish, especially at weekend, but better than English lager louts! Placed at the Fuenirola end of Benalmadena, away from bars and nightlife, which is what we wanted, next to beach. Naff entertainment and draught beer was dreadful, but it was nice to sit and people watch and play cards. Smoking seemed to be limited to outdoors only, which was good.
100%Spanish Holiday Hotel
My wife and I decided to take a DIY holiday to Spain,The total cost was £804 all inclusive,We booked a plane from Exeter to Malaga with Flybe ,Then went by Taxi to the hotel cost 25 Euro,When you arrive at the hotel the reception area is very clean and all marble tiled, with a panoramic sea views, the reception staff spoke English and were very polite,we were shown to a room 814 on the 8th floor, the room had two double beds,Tv,a belcony with sea veiws towards Feuengorola, the main road was quite noisy.Breakfast was buffet style typically Spainish served from 8.30am to 10am,Lunch 1.30-3pm.with wine,Dinner 7.30-10pm.with wine.Entertainment is Spanish style.with a waiter service.till late. The garden had had more than enough of sun beds, there is a small pool be warned it is freezing cold. The garden can get windy and cold. There is a locked gate that leads to the beach. You must remeber that this is a Spanish hotel and very popular with the weekend Spainish visitor.who are very polite. The only down side is that the hotel is out of town on a slight hill, and it does get Windy at night. We enjoyed the hotel the food,The staff,Cleanliness, lovely holiday.
Club 35-65ish
Good 4* in the better end of town. Located on the main road, about 10minutes walk into the main area. Bus stop outside, buses running all day until very late. 1.05 euros all the way to Torremolinos (1/2 hr ride) The hotel will appeal to any one who likes peace and quiet, all shut down by about 0100. Very comfortable rooms with lovely sea view. Had a high floor room so no noise from road, lovely sea view. A beach is just outside the gates and the hotel pool is nice, also 2 jacuzzis, sauna and gym, & massage, plus a good outdoor spa pool. The bar put on a fair selection of entertainment, usual circuit acts. Rooms very well kept. Very large supermarket opposite hotel. Small fridge in room which was very handy for drinks on balcony. All the staff were very pleasant, as were the fellow guests, majority were spanish, so good manners from everyone. Recommended.
