We have just got back from Jasmin beach after a fortnight. Where do i start, apartments not very clean at all! Maids did not clean the bathroom once while we were there and they hardly ever changed our towels. A few poeple had told me that while they were there they had things stolen from their rooms, such as clothes. My partner was taking a shower one day, he lifted his arm up & touched the roof, he didn't do that again as he got an electric shock. Food at the bar was nothing to shout about & the shop on site was discustingly expensive! The resort itself was lovely, but i can't get over how expensive it was. When i last went to gumbet 9 years ago it was about 50p a pint. Now its about £2.50 - £3.50 and that was for their own larger (efes). As we had our little boy with us, i dreaded him asking for an icecream, £2.50 for a cornetto. I'm in no means tight with my spending but i just though this was ridiculous. We went self catering and spent over £100 a day & we trying to watch our spending. We went to Icmeler last year for a fornight & it was great & resonably priced. I just feel let down by Jasmin beach, we've saved all year for our holiday and we were greatly dissapointed.

A group of 17 we stayed at Jasmin Beach from 13/9/2010 until 27/9/2010. Accomodation: Basic, could be cleaner and the bathrooms are in real need of attention. If they are not going to sort out the plumbing then at least provide everyone with a mop. No matter how slowly ou have the shower you end up with masses of water over the floor making it a nightmare to step out. The reception staff are great especially Jake who always greets you with a smile. Exchange rates are fair with no commission. This year we used the top pool, purely because of Romeo who works so very hard, always happy and goes out of his way for you. He joins in the fun and you can have a real laugh with him. The main bar - waste of time. Drinks are over priced and very weak. The staff serve any female under 30 with a pulse before anyone else gets a look in, really irritating. This was a return visit to Jasmine and have to say we were really disappointed with the entertainment. Not only was it exactly the same as the previous year, it was on the same nights in the same order. Vey sad to see Sharky had left and the entertainment role had been given to Emre. Sorry but I can only say Emre is not the right person for the job. If he's in a bad mood everyone knows it, if you don't go to turkish night or visit the gold factory he ignores you. He is rude to guests caling people fat boy and english idiot. Jasmine you really need to rethink your entertainment.
Gumbet's nightlife is fab for singles, couples and families alike. You cannot beat Molly Malones for a grea bar. Good alcohol for a fair price, excellent staff, warm welcome with no hassle. Entertainment is fun, good humoured and they do their best to involve everyone. Big groups and small groups are treated equally well. Molly's bar boys are the best in Gumbet. No sleaze and friendly to all. Red Dragon is great food but a bit pricey, Windy Bay does the best steaks, the parrot has the best selections of food and their turkih food is gorgeous. In our opinion Tempo is NOT worth a visit.
Weather was scorching. Never again would I ever travel with Thomas Cook. One of our party was run over the first night and was badly injured, thomas Cook rep Katie was an absolute disgrae, not even bothering to visit her client. Finally bumped into her five days later when she was more interested in showing her father her new tattoo than talking to her clients. Lesson learnt there !
Hoping to go back to Gumbet next year but will be checkin jasmin's reviews before re-booking there.

wel where do i start. jasmin beach had the most beautiful surroundings around the appartments which was wel looked after. also the location was fab as it was opposite the beach which was nice only problem was it was a bit shingly but wasnt drastic, the sea was lovely and clear.there was only a short 5/10 min walk to shops, bars and places to eat. best place was Windy bay great value for money and the food was beautiful.now back to the accomadation it was clean and basic which is all you need on a self catering holiday as you are out and about most of the day and night the staff was great they all loved my daughter jasmine they was ever so friendly.we attended the turkish night to in our accomadation and it was the best i have been to the food was amazing with great entertainment.also a good thing was that the entertainment never went on all night so it wasnt noisy all night long. i would defo go again to jasmin beach we loved everything about it.

hi jasmine beach was better than expected we have been to turkey 18 times but it was first time in gumbet we stayed at the top pool up 5 flights of stairs but Romeo the waiter was brilliant nothing was to much trouble and he was good fun better than any one of the staff at the main bar which they do rip you off with drinks I asked for gordons g and t and it was like water moods bar at the front near shop was ok staff in there was good, turkish bath at jasmine was CRAP worst one we have ever had and we have had many bets restaurant we found was red dragon we told everyone to go and all was pleased lots of stray dogs so avoid eating on the beach unless you like dogs sniffing around you the beach at front of the jasmine is disgusting in dire need of cleaning its crap we went to bodrum which is very nice but bid pricey would come again but not sure if we would stay at jasmine reception staff was excellant .

was at jasmin beach for 10 days. Was the first time ever in turkey, really enjoyed it. Staff are really friendly & funny. Ozzy, boni & efe are great barmen as well as efekan. gumbet bay is a great for something to eat, lots of lovely restaurants. Gumbet is close to Bodrum which can be reached easily by bus - 2.50 lira per person whcih is cheap. beach is lovely & clean. definitely spend 5 lira for the sunbed & cushion which you can have all day. entertainment at jasmin is great, something on every night. Emre is a great entertainments manager who gets everyone involved. Jasmin's turkish bbq night is not to be missed. A must have when you first arrive is a turkish bath. Jasmin's english breakfast is lovely and a must.

Best Holiday ever

Just got back from 2 weeks at the jasmine beach apartments, was our first time in turkey but omg was the best holiday ever! There was 3 of us aged 19-21, so we were looking for somewhere abit lively but also somewhere relaxing. Apartments were basic, but all you need, we only used the apartment to sleep in and to get ready at night. The staff at the jasmine made the holiday, they are so friendly and know your names straight away. Big shout out to ozzy, boni, efkan, efe and all the other staff round the cocktail bar. Beach isnt that sandy, but its nowhere near as bad as some of the reviews on here, 5 lira for a sunbed with a cushion, but you get a drink with that which isnt too bad. Only ate at the jasmine on the last night, but the food was really nice so wish we had eaten there more, dennys and cozzy are really nice restaurants/bars. Bar street is amazing, very busy but a must when you go to gumbet. Shakers and X bar are probably the busiest, but the tempo bar is good. Defo going to book a holiday here again next year! Love it xxx

I was in 2 minds about going to Turkey but i am so glad i went. The staff at Jasmin Beach made my partner, our daughter and myself feel comfortable and relaxed. Emer, Falcon, Enrique and the rest of the staff could not have been anymore friendly and helpful! They always had time for the guests and were great with my daughter and the rest of the kids there. The rooms were basic but comfrotable so couldnt ask for more. We couldnt fault the food in the hotel and the service was excellent. There was also alot of other places to eat within walking distance from the hotel. We spent most of our 2wk holiday in the hotel as the entertainment was brilliant! The beach, shops, restaurants etc were all within mins walk. I will most definately be returning and have already recommended Jasmin Beach to family and friends. Hopefully see you all next year :-)

first time to jasmin beach was quite shocked when got to studio and yes the porter did a good job as there was 5 of us tipped him wel, studio was not good really shower time caused a pond in the bathroom which took an age to dry, cleaning not to good really did most ourselfs could have done with a mop or something, fridge warm most of time and they put the elec cooking rings above fridge which made it warmer still, cooking rings were broke never worked well at all and cockroach big it was to my horror complained and never saw anymore, room very hot you have to have the air conditioning otherwise unbearable heat.
Staff no complaints about them at all most friendly and helpfull and yes the young girls were served first but they are young men after all, beware getting white and rose wine its warm to warm to enjoy had to have ice cubes
beach scross fron aparts well it was not a beach at all just some what looked like pea shingle in places, dirty, litter, broken bottles the water i would not go in it best left out of your holiday stick with the pools in jasmin beach, didn't find it noisey but if you have a apart by pool then yes it would be noisy, never heard drunks coming back.
would i go back to jasmin beach aparts?
well yes i would planning to go back next year but not to the beach and in a 1 bed apart hope these are better otherwise i will ask to be moved if accaomadation no good

Friendly staff, Great location, Great Holiday!

Me, My sister and Father booked a apartment at Jasmin with a memory full of bad reviews. Ignore them.. Jasmin beach is Brilliant. Friendly Staff, 3 Pools, beach just across the road, Entertainment daily, live football, English music, Internet Cafe, Games corner, everyone is English Speaking ( Maids, Taxi drivers, shop owners, bartenders, waiters, EVERYONE.)Jasmin also offer Turkish Baths etc which are very helpful for getting that bronze tan. These reviews saying its loud and noisy. Forget that! Its nothing near it unless your in an apartment or studio near the main pool. Easily resolved, ask for a top floor room away from the pool area.
The downfalls however are; Food is expensive especially from the Bar Restaurant. I recommend "Windy Bay" Cheaper, Bigger Portions, food is to die for and the specials include everything! example, Jasmin Restaurant - Pizza (18 TL) Drink (4-6 TL) Ice cream (6TL). Windy bay - Pizza, Drink, Ice Cream = 15TL!
The apartments at Jasmin are boiling. You have to hire a remote for the air conditioning which is c***. It hardly works unless you close the bedroom door in which the room gets very cool. Fans can also be hired from main reception which i recommend!
The beach across the road is not the best but has water sports, restaurants all along the front, boat trip booths etc and there is a taxi rank. Get a taxi to "Bitez Beach" which is the main beach that has practically everything. It will cost around £16 to get there and back.
Overall Jasmin Beach is Brilliant! We spent days by the pool, followed by beach days which included Bitez beach. We did water sports the lot and in the evenings we walked along the Jasmin beach front to eat. We went for a week and have all come back with amazing bronze tans.

mixed feelings

When we arrived turk porter insisted on carrying both our heavy cases up lots of stairs, then stood with open hand waiting for a tip.We always tip but we feel tipping is a gesture and everywhere we went in turky they expect it even when they have put a service charge on food bill. Our room was so small we had to stand to one side to let the other pass & the view was of a dirt road no balcany just doors on a 2foot platform. We got moved straight away & they was ok about it but the cheeky porter stood again with open hand only 10 minutes after first tip. The next room was slightly bigger but balcany was facing a brick wall.Room was very clean but basic and maids came in every day changed sheets & towels 3 times in 11 days, but the towels and sheets where of poor quality & thred bare. The bath & shower leaked flooding floor every time & we reported it to the rep but he wasn't interested. We only had one nights decent sleep & that was because we went on a over night trip. When we booked this holiday we repeated to travel agent that we need to be at least twenty minutes walk from hustle & bustle with a 'very quiet' hotel at night. Ever night there was drunks shouting, swearing, singing, arguing, smashing sign posts around hotel grounds, going in the pool in dead of night, throwing leaflets everywhere you name it, every night untill roughly 5am. I have to say that it was 'Not' the same party of people every night it was any one. One hour later the maids started talking loudly banging doors etc.We reported maids to rep they stopped for two days then started again. We reported drunks to turks on reception they told us they was aware as other people had complained & he went on to say its unusual here. However the night time noise carried on. Music from the Bar went on till the early hours. All this is ok if thats the kind of holiday you want & book, We didn't & feel that we have been greatly miss sold this holiday. We spoke to a few people who felt like us & also some that said they come every year for the party atmosfear. And to top it all off, reception rang our room on two different occations in the early hours then apoligised saying that they had rang the rong room. we have come back feeling drained. We have to say though that the hotel grounds are beautiful pools very clean staff helpfull. Be aware Turkey is very expensive & you can't escape it. Turkey sellers are a pain but we did go prepared for this so it wasn't to bad.Beach in Gumbet is a bit dirty & the sea is very dirty, infact id say a health hazard. If you want a nice clean beach get a dolmus bus to either bitez or camel beach. Very clean indeed and the water is crystl clear, not to bad for snorkling.
Also be aware that Turkey is overflowing with stray dogs. Some are owned most are not & it can be distressing for some as they are hot, hungry, dirty, skinny & most are treated not to well by the turks. It upset me & others I spoke to.people was buying them food & cuddling them. I wouldnt advise cuddling them though and remind people of the health risks. Although eating out is sooooo expensive,we have to tell you that we didn't have a bad meal.We sampled lots of places but the best one was facing gumbet beach called 'Carpe Diem' exquisit food. They also have nice live music every night. All in all we have mixed feelings but the worse are of the hotel. We did love Turkey & will visit again just not this hotel.
