We arrived very late at night and got told to go to reception. We were shown to our room by a member of staff, he was very friendly, however, it was a bit rude of him to expect a tip. The room was basic and only had two cooking stoves, the toilet was dirty and the worktop had food stains on it, the sheets also were not clean. It was if it had not been cleaned before our arrival. And to top it all our view was a brick wall. We called reception to complain and asked to change room. They were helpful and thankfully we got moved early the next morning. They didn't tell us we had to pay for air conditioning either, £40, what a rip off!!
The bar staff were very friendly and the food was excellent, however, they did expect you to eat there every night. The Columbia served up a very good breakfast which was excellent value for money. I don't think we could fault anything there.
We got hounded to go on a boat trip by "Sandy" (the woman nearest the resort). Everything she said would happen didn't!! All we done was get in and out of the water, it was a waste of money and the worst trip we went on!! don't be fooled by her!
The locals try and get you to go into their shops every time you pass them, it is very annoying, no matter how much you try and ignore them they ask you everyday. We were asked everyday to go on a boat trip and everyday had to say no, did they not get the message? Its over friendly and false, even the restaurant had people outside hassling you to go in. At night the rose sellers offer you a rose for free but expect you to buy it once you've got it, it dies in one day anyway.
Our rep was brilliant. All the trips booked through My travel were excellent value for money and well organised, although the night cruise was a let down as the photographer was not there and we weren't told, apart from that, everything was brilliant.
Don't think we will be going back but all and all it was a nice break.

Wake up wake up! This will make sense to you when you visit Jasmin Beach Apartments. My husband and I and my two children stayed there for two weeks. The apartment was really kept clean by the maids. The pool was very nice, we all really enjoyed the day time round the pool. The shop was expensive and the prices kept changing, mainly when my children went to the shop they would over charge and short change them. The bar staff would often try to charge you for drinks you never had, so make sure you pay for them as you go. Saying this some of the staff were really nice and very friendly with the children ie. Henry, Go Go, Bonni and Memhet. I also visited the hair salon and the man who cut my hair would be worth a fortune back in England. What a hair dresser. I was a very satisfied customer.

Just got back from Jasmin beach. The weather was very hot, I love the heat and I could not handle it!!
The apartments were basic but very clean, quite close to the pool bar so a bit noisy. Ok though.
Entertainment-not a lot. I'm used to going Tenerife where there are endless bars etc....but there was not a lot to do in the evenings. You could go to one of Jasmins bars but quite expensive and small measures. The staff are all great though.
Eat at the windy bay its lovely and overlooks the beach.
I would go back but a few nights a week I would grab a taxi to venture out a bit.

We have just spent 7 days at the Jasmin. If you want a quiet holiday. Forget it! We were put in the worst room we have ever stayed in but that’s another story, but our rep Hazel was excellent and got us a new room which was very nice within the hour.
If you like quiet nights in or early nights (I mean before 3am) forget it, the music is loud and it all day and all night. The complex itself is beautiful and the staff are all very nice but want paying for anything they do....they will stand there until you give them a tip too!
I'm not quite sure what the security people are there for as there was a mugging 1 night and an attempted 1 which involved ourselves the night before but nothing was done.
The local thieves work in groups so be warned! We found the food cheap in Gumbet, the Calypso bar is good and Windy Bay is excellent, steaks for just a couple of £ and they were gorgeous, the staff were brilliant too! Drinks were very dear! Fresh orange is dearer than a pint so stick to the beer!!!!!
The weather was amazing. Basically if the Jasmin was quieter and in a safer place it would be the ideal place to stay. Maybe we will go back one day.

We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning after our flight from Glasgow was delayed.
We were shown to our room (which was at the top right next to the top bar). The following day we went along to the welcome meeting at 1pm, (I have been to Turkey 6 times but always went to Marmaris) we were greeted by 2 people from first choice who asked us (me and my 12 yr old son) if everything was ok. I told them that it was too noisy for a child and that the shower leaked, we were told that after the welcome meeting finished we would be told what other rooms were free and we could be moved. All we had to do was to meet the rep in reception at 7pm.
I booked 4 trips for the week for me and my son and we headed off for the rest of the day.
We were getting ready in the room later to go and meet the rep when my son slipped in the bathroom, the floor was covered in about 2 inches of water which had come out of the shower (the cement had come away and as a result the water escaped). We had to go see the hotel Dr (who was fantastic) and then go to the clinic, where they said that my son had broken his finger and had a metal splint placed on it.
The rep was hardly seen after that, the hotel food was terrible and overpriced and you got hassled all day beside the pool to go to the hotels events. We spent most of our weeks stay at the calypso next door which served great food by fantastic staff.
The faulty shower was only looked at once we had checked out. The hotel never moved our room and now they say that we are not entitled to compensation, I would never go back on holiday with first choice if this is how they treat their customers.
I had to get someone in the UK to go into the shop I bought my holiday from to get a rep in Turkey to talk to me, unacceptable really. If you are looking for a hotel with good standards I would look elsewhere!!

Best Holiday I have ever been on!
Can't complain about the actual resort and the staff were ALL very friendly and treated everyone very well. They will go out of their way for you to please you and make you happy.
We stayed at Jasmin for 2 weeks.
Yes, the rooms were basic...but we were hardly in there. All day you're out then you go back and get ready to go out, then come home and sleep, what do you expect?! Everything worked fine, we didn't have any problems with the appliances. Although we did seem to have a leak in the bathroom on the floor, we never did find out what it was.
If your a young person like i am then Gumbet is the place to go, definitely! There was 7 of us, my mum, dad, 3 brothers, me and my friend. Even my parents enjoyed themselves, as it is a lively place. A 5 minute walk and your at Bar Street, that was the place to be! The drinks aren't that expensive here, 5 lira for vodka red bull at a lot of places and a majority of the bars are very generous with the alcohol!
We ate out every night and only stayed at Jasmin to eat twice, not because there was anything wrong with it, but just because there are so many different restaurants we wanted to try. Some are a bit pricey but 99% we were pleased with our meal. I would recommend Aloha(Bar Street), Windy Bay(Beach front).
I would recommend Jasmin to anyone, families, young groups of friends, older people, the lot.
We'll definitely be back, next year hopefully!!

My husband and i went to the Jasmin Beach Apartments last October along with my sister-in-law and her husband and what a holiday it was.
The staff are really friendly and the apartments were spotless. The complex itself is absolutely stunning. On the last night the maid made hearts shapes with our towels on our beds and sprinkled petals over the beds also. It was really beautiful and brought a tear to all our eyes at the thought of having to say goodbye to the Jasmin Beach Apartments. All of my party would recommend here and we are looking forward to bringing our kids back this May coming.

This is our 5th time in Turkey. We love the place. We stayed in Jasmin Beach and it is spotless.
Our studio was perfect. The maid service was 1st class as our beds were dressed in flowers and petals each time she cleaned our room.
The grounds are beautiful but our neggies are, the shop prices are day light robbery(£1.00 for small tin of Heinz soup) and the bar prices were dearer than any other place we tried. That said, the place is great.
It’s a great pity they wouldn’t get the beach cleared up. It looks like a dirty well worn carpet and we never went on the beach at gumbet.
Red dragon is fantastic and so is windy bay. Both great food, brilliant service and well worth the money. You won’t get better.
The Turkish people are fantastic. Almost as good as the Irish(well almost).

Arrived in the wee small hours and although there was still music at the main pool bar, we had asked for an apartment at the rear of the complex, which we got and we had no problems with noise. Room spacious and clean - only gripe is that there is only one air conditioning unit in the bedroom, which meant that the other room (where the kids slept) was very, very warm especially at night.
Plenty bars and restaurants to choose from with our favourites being Windy Bay and Ceasars. Staff at both were fantastic and really made our holiday! Special mention to Emery at the Windy Bay and Johnny Bravo at Ceasars - who kept the kids entertained with their dancing, football and water fights!!
We enjoyed a Gulet cruise around the various bays in the peninsula, as well as a trip to the Water Park in Bodrum and a trip to Turgetreis market (Sat morning). However, be careful who you book these through. We went with Heaven Tours (Ali and George) and I definitely would NOT recommend them - their office is in Gumbet just round the corner from the Green Dragon. We had to wait nearly an hour on the bus to take us to the Water Park and when it eventually turned up they wanted us to put the kids on our knees to squeeze as many people in as they could possibly get - this would have been extremely dangerous and we refused to do it.
I had asked when booking the Gulet cruise how many people would be on the boat, if there would be safety nets up around the boat and if we would get a sunbed no problem. We were assured that there would only be around 40-45 on the boat when it had a capacity for 85, so we would not have a problem getting a sunbed and that there would be safety nets around the boat. However, the reality was completely different. There were at least 80 people on the boat, so no chance of a sunbed, and there was no safety around the lower deck of the boat! However, despite this we did have a good day and the kids enjoyed jumping off the boat into the water.
The Water Park was a bit disappointing compared to others we have been to in Portugal and Majorca. No charge for sunbeds or lockers and the food is reasonably priced. (Note that if you take along your own food, it will be confiscated although you can get it back at the end of the day). Decent number of slides but very long queues!
The third trip to Turgetreis market was a joke!! They crammed 21 people onto a minibus which had a capacity for 15 (including the driver). Again they expected us to put our 11 twins on our knees or put them in the back against the back door of the minibus for a 45 minute trip in blistering heat - there was no air conditioning!! We were that annoyed that we decided to make our own way back to Bodrum and we enjoyed the luxury of an air conditioned dolmus for 3 YTL each - best money spent!!
Overall, can highly recommend Gumbet and we hope to return for another holiday in the near future.

Me, my partner, and our son stayed at Jasmin last year for 2 weeks. We’ve been going to Gumbet for 9 years now; we have the most fantastic Turkish friends that live in and around gumbet.
Jasmin was lovely, very big, and well tended. The staff were great, couldn’t do enough for you.
We’ve stayed in many different apartments in gumbet but unfortunately Jasmin wasn’t one of the best, our favourite is Siesta which is literally next to Jasmin, couldn’t fault this at all.
Agar is another one of our favourites, set in ideal location, nice and quiet, small complex, absolutely ideal for families with young children.
You must all try Gumbet its fantastic. If your reading this and is going to Turkey make sure you have a Turkish bath as soon as you get there, as this removes all dead skin, which helps you get a great tan, and I’m a red head!
If you’re going to Gumbet and you love waterparks try out Dedeman waterpark. You can take a dolmus bus there; it’s a great day out, also a great place if you just want to top up your tan, set in the mountains!
You must take a boat trip to this is our holiday highlights too.
We're going again this August were staying at Bozok apartments this time, never stayed there but have only read excellent reviews about it, we can’t wait.

This Holiday was just the best ever !!
I loved every minute of it...
I was unsure of going first because of all the things people had been telling me but it was really the best holiday ever
I have booked to go back again in June next year! fab staff always made me laugh
The main bar is where I went every night. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, amazing time.
Our room was clean and basic; just somewhere to get your head down - that’s all you need anyway. Great hairdressers in the resort, had my hair done a few times and I do really recommend the Turkish bath and massage - you will not be disappointed.
Excellent service. I hope to see all the staff again, they made my holiday.
