Comments:  This was our third visit to the Jasmin.

Firstly, if you are not happy with the location of your room ask to be moved. We like to overlook the main pool so our son can play outside whilst we get ready to go out and as we were given a room near the middle pool which did not suit us we were moved the very same day.

The rooms themselves are well equipped and clean with a daily maid service. The main pool was busier and more lively than the other two, and unfortunately, it is true that to bag that extra special or favoured sunbed, you do have to be up with the lark!!!

The staff are friendly and contrary to other reports I have read made no attempt to overcharge or shortchange us (if they did, it was very discreetly done and we were none the wiser!!!!)

This year the First Choice Kids Club was not open and we subsequently had to pay to use the Thomson's one (which is more than a little odd as they have merged...) as a consequence there were less kids around than in previous years which did not please our 8 year old. However, the reps were excellent and lots of creative play ensued. Many thanks to Jade and Katie for their efforts. The First Choice Rep, Kelly was dismal though and I truly pity anyone who ever requires her assistance.

I have read many varied restaurant reviews and the choices of some are, with any things the distain of others. I will recommend the Red Dragon though!

Turkey has got more expensive and we twice took a taxi to the supermarket to stock up on necessities rather than relying too much on the onsite shop. Gumbet itself is fine, with many "knock off" football strips, DVD's and DS games on sale. Be prepared to barter, it does pay off and we secured many a bargain.

That just about sums it up, 10 out of 10 yet again. We will return again.

Comments:  Just got back just over a week ago and it was amazing. bar street is great, I love the man that sits near the beach singing "i like to move it move it" hes my role model =]
Met some lovely people there including the staff. semih the hair dresser is ace had many laughs. selma the cleaner is a lovely lady she really liked me and my friend.
The rooms themselves are really big we were in the rooms near semihs hairdressers and personally I think they were the best rooms. sorry it was me that jumped in the pool many apologies. The shops and food in gumbet you can't fault. I used to look forward to going past the beach and hearing I scream you scream everybody scream.
Overall an amazing holiday and would love to go back.
p.s If you had sightings of a man walking out your room when your wife was in there its not his fault he's too drunk to remember where he's staying haha.

Comments:  Overall it was a good holiday. There were 6 of us, mum and dad, two 17 year olds, 16 year old and 21 year old. It is sleezeball city over there! You cant walk anywhere without being starred at or perved on. Me and my sister went to the beach on our first night to have a quick peak and the secruity guard had to come and get us! we were told that it was not safe as you can imagine.
We spent more than we thought we would. You cant go shopping with out being constintly hastled to look in their shops.
They do have nice Fake designer stuff over there but you have to tell them that you can get it for half the price in Tescos in England and u will get it for a much cheaper price :)
The cleaners were brilliant, cleaning our room which u can imagine was a right state.
The bar staff were friendly but very pervy.
you have to try the burger king in bar street!! 10 times better then England!
Food around was ok , we went to the restaraunt next to windy bay and it was horrible, be careful because they dont de-bone anything.
at the hotel, everything is served with chips but its really nice in the hotel. full english is only 5 lira, ( £2.50) not bad.
The beach is nasty, the sand is like gravel and there are piles of fag butts and rubbish and glass everywhere! There are packs of dogs running wild and they are very teritorial and will fight other dogs they dont reconise (bit scary)!!
Along the beach there is a man called Riko who sits at the side of the path with his banjo!!
OMG he is funny!! he sings ' i like to move it move it' and loads of stuff!! he is a laugh!
the salon is great!! sammy the hairdresser is brilliant. the turkish bath is lovely and recomended. there are 3 pools and we stayed at the main 1 for the 2 weeks we were there, alot nicer. the entertainment is not bad. turkish night is good and the food is lovely!
Overall it was a brilliant holiday!

Comments:  We were fortunate enough to have a room furthest away from the main bar so noise wasn't a problem.I love to relax on holiday but this was not possible. As a single woman with 2 14 year old girls it was a nightmare and we all felt like targets. The staff at the middle pool creeped us out, always staring at the girls, dive bombing them and trying to throw them in the pool every day( we had to walk past to get to our room) at 4pm everyday the staff( and friends) took over the pool with stupid antics. THey threw one chap into the pool and he landed on a woman just having a dip. They got rather irate when the tabes were turned!
The security guard kept asking to come to my room.
The windy bay is the best place to eat, great food, great service and very relaxed and friendly, like wise the LMT bar was the best most welcoming bar.
We were followed along the beach path back to the jasmin by a man playing with himself and muttering aggressively. One boy was manhandled on the beach path for not giving a big enough tip for his free bracelet! and a 15 year old girl stepped in to break them up and she was hit!!
on a positive note it was hot! the boat cruise was great value for money.
This was the most expensive holiday I have ever had and couldve been in the carribean for 2 weeks for much less.. £3 -£4 for a glass of coke is ridiculous. a newspaper and a magazine for £11 outrageous!
I would recommend for families with small children or all adults but not for families with teenage girls. you'll be worried sick!

Comments:  nice hotel plenty for the kids to do, not a great hotel for selfcatering as you only have two hotplates, no oven or grill, but it is a nice place to stay in, the pool area is brill and safe for the kids, beware of extra charges the hotel makes the safes are 20 pounds nonreturnable. we had weather into the ninetys and i was told it would cost 40 pounds for air condittion in my room. keep clear of the hotel shop it cost about 30 pounds for two hundred fags,, go into town it will cost around 15 pounds for two hundred, food is also a rip of at the hotel shop about 3 pounds for a tin of beans, all the staff are very nice rooms are not brill but are ok for sleeping in cleaners work very hard at keeping the rooms clean, overall i did have a nice time my wife two doughters want to return next year nightlife in gumbet is really brill, dont book any trips with reps.

Comments:  weve just got back from our 4th time at jasmin beach and once again we had a brillant time .there was 10 of us we wanted rooms near each other we didnt get them at first but went to rececption and they managed to put us all near the top pool without any fuss in fact we picked the rooms they even put a new single bed in for us with not one complaint from them ,nothing was too much trouble for them very clean rooms the bar staff at the top bar were brillant Mert and Mauma (mama) they made our holiday our son Dylan loved them both and they were brillant with him as well as our older son ,if you want a great steak go to columbia steak house and for a set meal go to samis as there set meals were exellent value for the money and more then enough food. On the night time when you walk along the beach watch out for Turkish Delight Rico he was amazing he was so funny with his singing sex bomb, move it . The turkish people are very friendly and really welcoming ,we were unfortunate to be staying at the same time as a family from london who were very rude to the staff which made us wonder why the turkish were still so freindly to us british .weve made some great friends while holidaying there both turkish and british and were looking foward to next years holiday there !!!!!

Comments:  just come back from the jasmin beach after a two week stay. Apartments where very basic, not much entertainment going on in the apts and the apts are a little out of the way for nightlife. Eating out fantastic Windy Bay restaurant and the Red Dragon well recommended. Most of the staff in the hotel are very nice but beware for Apo the waiter he is very friendly with the girls especially the younger ones he was reported a few times for touching the girls inapropriately.
Recommend the turkish baths and beauty treatments.
Going shopping is a nightmare they drag you in the shops and really hassale you.
We met some nice people there and would like to see them again, but not at the jasmin beach apts.

Comments:  Just back on monday from our first visit to Turkey, we stayed at the Jasmin Beach Apartments where we found the rooms clean and comfortable with all the facilities you require for self catering. All the staff on site are a friendly hard working team who make every effort to ensure you enjoy your stay with entertainment at the pool bar every night. A visit to the excellant turkish bath on site is a must. For a nice meal a visit to Windy Bay restaurant on the beach front is recommended the food and level of service was excellant.
This has been our best holiday ever the turkish people are lovely and very friendly we have already made plans to go back next year to Jasmin Beach. Thank You to everyone involved.

Comments:  dont listen to them other comments this was my 3rd year in turkey and at the jasmin beach. my husband an kids would stay nowhere else except the jasmin they are so helpful an friendly.the reception staff pool staff an bar staff could.nt do enough for you except for boni (he.s not very nice has no manners for to be dealing with the public)The food is ok for snacks we always go out for our evenin meals anyway.the rooms are basic but you only get wat you pay for.the pool area is spotless cleaned every evenin for the night time entertainment which is ok to but kids enjoyed it so that kept us happy to you dont have to worry about the kids running about the complex its safe enough for them they have security on 24 hours a day.The wee maids are luvly too in every day emptyin bins ect they even fold your clothes up an wash any dishes lyin about which they dont have to do,clean towels about 4 times a week change beds an if you ask them for more toilet rolls they will give them to you, nothin is too much hassle for any of the staff considering they only get paid a pittance for workin long hours in that heat, we were in room 211 right beside the main pool there was no noise durin the day only frm the people at the pool but hey we are supposed to be on holiday (the english ones are the noisiest)there was back ground music all day.At night wen we went to bed early an the loud music was still playin we closed bedroom window an balcony doors an we heard nothing so got a good nights sleep kids an all.gumbet itself is noisy esp bar st but it was ok.The food in the restaurants is good to windy bay, columbian, annalivia, far east, mistral all a must lovely steaks in all.Just dont go near the millenium it stinks we waited an hour an a half for our meal an wen we got it it was freezin cold wen we complained they said it was because they were busy (THATS NOT OUR FAULT)they wouldnt even take anything of the bill they then started shoutin at my son for talkin so make sure you give it a wide birth it was awful.Go to gumbet you will enjoy it we have for 3 yrs an love it at the jasmin if you go say hello to mehmet the bar manager an emery he,s a good laugh an good wiv kids so enjoy your holiday we hope to be going back next year so tell mehmet, mr man u , minnie ,stephen, matthew,an sarah says hellooooo,

Comments:  I wish I had found this site before booking. We specifically asked for a quiet relaxing holiday which is NOT Jasmine Beach or Gumbet. The staff were friendly enough (tips helped with this), the food not good especially if you are vegetarian. We had an apartment that was set back from the main pool area but the noise was extremely loud and almost constant, no chance for a relaxing quiet night. The apartment was basic, kitchen facilities a joke, fridge barely cold had to have it changed, supposed to be self catering but not really possible with the facilities. There were ants in the kitchen glad I took an insect spray (thank you boots!), the bathroom was dirty not cleaned well and yes the floor did flood when having a shower. The shower was very temperamental one minute cold and then boiling hot, so take care, especially if you have young children. The drains often blocked and needed to be cleared. The main pool was ok with lots of sunloungers, but it was very busy and there was little shade provided which is a must in the blistering heat. The beach provded a cool breeze but the shingle sand was difficult to walk on and the water dirty with lots of rubbish (bottles etc), oh and yes they advertise beach free for hotel users but they dont tell you you have to pay for the loungers. Prepare to be hassled all the time for restaurants, trips and tips etc. The resort of gumbet is full of brits on holiday and very little turkish culture. We hired a car and explored some of the surrounding area, would definately recommend hiring a car, there is so much to see and driving is very easy. Dalyan was beautiful and turtle beach absolutely gorgeous and warm water (beware gumbet water can be quite cold). I would visit Turkey again but probably Olu deniz area. The holiday was disappointing not relaxing and very expensive, I've just checked what we spent (even just the flights and accomodation) and we could have gone to america for less. This resort and accomodation would only be good if you are young and like partying (NOT sleeping), oh and before you think we are old, we are not (late 20's early 30's) but do expect a holiday to be a holiday. All I can say is we are glad to be back in England.

Comments:  Well...Where do i start?
There was 14 of us, 4 of which were children from 2 - 8. We were shown to our room when we arrived and had our suitcases carried for us which was nice!
Pool was nice, food was alright, but i didnt trust the eggs! they were luke warm so i refused to eat it!
Most of the staff were quite friendly even if they didnt speak any english. However!! This one situation that we had was a bit rude! My mother and I were sat at the bar enjoying a drink with 2 members of staff who spoke good english. They were lovely, friendly and charming. Then they suggested that they take me out for a drink to another bar (I'm 16) but my mum said "hmm, Im not sure about that" We'd only just met the guys! Then they suggested my mum going with us but she said "no, i dont think so" After she said this, they buggered off and we didn't hear from them again! Can't get more rude than that really can you?
The beach was close but it was quite rocky, not good if you like sandy beaches!
Shops about 10 minutes up the road with alot of bars and clubs...which brings me on to my next point....it IS for young people! Do NOT take old people! They will not enjoy it! There are good clubs if you like that kind of thing...X bar, Shakers, Mystery and Bar 20 are only a few of many! All very good except club escape! Avoid that! It doesnt attract many customers! As for smaller pubs, L.M.T and Atlantis are personal favourites. People in there are quite nice.
Turkish night was quite good as well, not the best i've seen but still good. Fun games and good entertainment!
Turkish bath is quite good for the start of the week so that you get a good tan! I would also recommend a massage there too!
The hairdressers there is really good even if they cant speak much english and so is the beautician.
I will probably go there next year, if not in this hotel, nearby as it is a lovely place for us young people!

Comments:  Got back from Jasmine A few weeks ago now i had a fantastic time but turkey is not a great place to go if your my age (15) as you get hasled quite alot. But the jasmin is a fantastic place all the staff was excellent Muhammet & Boni excellent Bar Staff, Apo & Servet (My so say brother haha) Great waiter's.

The 3 pools was very clean as were the rooms. The cleaners were very nice and worked silently or didnt even come in if you were asleep.
It was my 2nd time in Turkey and hopfully will be my 3rd time next year for my 16th birthday.

The Jeep Safari is worth going on me and my mum booked ours with Thomson they take you to a small village and take you around the village. Then they will take just around parts of Turkey which is really nice they stop to let you take photos and you also get free dinner but you have to pay for the drinks.

Bar Street is very lively at night went down there every night during my 1st few nights which was awesome then the rest of the nights we mainly stayed in the main bar which had entertainment on every night.

The resturant in the hotel had very nice food but the drinks in the bar was a bit pricely for a glass of coke it was 4lira which is about £2 and the beer was the same price! Cocktails was 7 or 9 lira but they were worth the money. Pizza in the resturant is worth having too a plain cheese and tomato one was 7lira but was very tasty.

Would Defently go back there and hopfully will go back there next year still begging my mum :).
