Submitted By: Mr P TrevisNoise is a problem with this hotel both during the day and through the night.
They appear to have a very limited choice of music which they continually repeat at very loud volume.
Forget relaxing by the pool or sleep at night as the music stops just in time for the party goers return at around 5am
No control over rowdy guests retuning at 5-6am where the pool bar is then opened for
drinking. The staffs only concern is are you spending money at the bar.
Rooms are small and very basic ours was infested with ants and other insects.
As I had read the reviews on the food at the hotel we went self catering although the other guests we spoke to confirmed that the breakfast was not worth getting up for and ate elsewhere. The lack of people eating at the restaurant during the evening also seems to support this.
This hotel is not suitable for either families with young children or couples looking for a relaxing holiday.
It will appeal to the 18 to 25 year age group who appear to love it.
The rooms are small, in poor repair and the cleaning is a joke.
Its cheap, but as the adage goes you get what you pay for!
Would not recommend this hotel even to people I dislike.

Submitted By: Miss S KingAll of the staff were helpful, the rooms were always clean and tidy, the security made us feel safe at night especially as we were a group of girls. I must mention Jack, Shorty and Santa over the road in Al Kaptain the restaurant, we spent most of our time eating there as there was something everyone liked, they were friendly and very cheap. overall every thing we needed was accommodated for and it was a holiday we'll never forget!!!

Submitted By: Miss N CurwenWe only ate breakfast and lunch at the hotel but there was plenty of food which was all delicious.
The staff can't do enough for you - especially little Sergio - he was an absolute star!
The pool is a bit salty but clean and cool. Am not sure there'd be enough sunbeds to go round at peak times but when we went it was quiet so there's was plenty of room. They do play music all day at the bar by the pool and can be a bit loud at times but it didn't spoil our holiday.
I would definitely stay at the Gardenya again and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind basic!
As for outside of the hotel - Alp Captain Restaurant over the road is divine and they all make sure you're well looked after. For somewhere a bit livelier to eat head down to the beach and the Golden Plate restaurant. The staff are fantastic and the food is to die for - they also do a free moonlight boat trip every Tuesday - you only pay for your drinks while on board though it is polite to eat at the restaurant afterwards!
Bodrum is a fab place (my second time there this year) and Bodrum castle is well worth seeing - though you need a good few hours to fully appreciate it - even if you're not into sightseeing - the views alone are worth the 10 liro entrance fee.

Submitted By: Miss Elisa DelucaThe staff I must say were very friendly, but our sheets were not changed our bed were just dressed every day.
Our room was facing the bar which meant we could never have an early night, as there was a dj speaker right outside our window blaring till early hours, the food was naff, and the pool was tiny.
We got sick of this so we packed up and left we moved to Turgutreis and rented an apartment, it is a brilliant spot and I would advise people to go there lot of things to do, people aren’t so annoying.
The Gardenya was naff, I wouldn’t put my dog in it.

Submitted By: Miss KR ReardonThe workers were very friendly, be back there next year without a doubt. We had two nights organised by the workers - a Turkish night and a break-dancing night with food included, these are extremely brillant nights that you dont want to miss, and then games after. They also taught all the crowd a dance where every one could join in.
I felt as if i knew the staff all my life as they were so friendly. The staff also recommended where to go if you were interested in doing a tour or a day out.
The resturant across the road from the apartments was a little more expensive than the hotel but the food was divine.

Submitted By: Miss AV HottAnyway, we decided to stay for a month in 2 different accommodations and this was our 2nd stop! We asked in reception if they had any left (as it was the highest week of the season) they gave us an amazing room B&B. With a fantastic view and our view private balcony, only problem was our room was in the sun all day at every angle and for that reason made it very, very, very hot! But we managed with windows open
The breakfast is also nice. The quality of the food is high and presented very nicely. There is a very generous discount as well (20% off all food and drinks when ordered before 10pm) Very good deal!
We stay in this accommodation very often, maybe 3 times a year and love every moment of our stay.
We usually go down to the beach which is about 7/8 mins away by walk. The place is quite hilly so may or may not depending on walking condition be suitable for people with walking difficulties.
The beach is man made, with free sun beds which belong to the bars opposite! But its polite to buy a drink.
The Turkish lads work ridiculous shifts in the summer and they don’t sleep much and also don’t get paid also either! My boyfriend works out there in the summer and it’s a lot of hassle girls who have them as you will know! Anyway.
The bars you must go to are De Ja Vu, The Red Lion, The White house Sensi and also the Bodrum nightclub (the boat) and another one you must do is Alykanas! Its amazing!
Bodrum is in between Icmeler (not the one in holiday brochures the small fishing town!) and Gumbet with Bitez and many other places in close proximity.
The dolmus (the bus) will take you to the places - lots of the drivers speak English! So don’t worry just be adventurous! Its a very small price to get there as well and the dolmus runs very, very, very frequently just put your hand out to stop it. You must find out what time the last bus goes though else you are going to get a little stuck! Well there are always taxis! Lots of them to and they are yellow.
Hope this helps would definitely recommend a stay at the hotel.

Submitted By: Miss L ThomasTurkish night is amazing get up and have a dance! Food great definitely going to come back to see you guys... Its relatively close to nightlife golden plate restaurant is must! The beaches aren’t that great but there’s free sun beds and waiter service which is nice to have!
Halikarnas is a must see excellent slightly over priced but worth every penny, white house, Sensi bar and Deja Vu is where I spent my time 5am closing time just in time to see the sunrise! Excellent dancers!

Submitted By: Mr LD CampbellHe talks down to people. But if you can handle that don’t let the resort put you off. Turkish nights are brilliant too.

we found that rooms allthough basic, had everything you would need for self catering, the rooms were cleaned every day, beds changed twice a week, the towels also.
Plenty of places to eat and drink, from the Gardenya to bar street, we found the very best place for food and a fantastic night was "THE BESA BAR" if you go to bottom of street cross the road you will see the "Besa Market" advertised on the wall opp Jimmys bar (avoid if you can)follow this sign, down the ally it will lead you to BESA BAR and RESTAURANT Chris and the staff will help to make your holiday one to remember, the food is freshly cooked, and is priced far lower than the restaurants near the sea front. You can evan book a trip on a Turkish Gullet "THE LADY STEFFENY".Can't wait for June to arrive when we will be there again.
Advice: It is full of excitment, something for the young, loads for the shoperholicks,so much to see .
Activities: THE BESA BAR & RESTAURANT, Just Great
