" THE BEST!!! "

I cannot say enough about this place. Awesome, just awesome!!!!
We stayed in Club Asteria between 17th and 24th of May09.
Every single facilities, food, rooms, entertainment, hygiene, surroundings (beatifuly designed) and most importantly every single employee is very friendly and helpful. I cannot believe there can be anyone, unless extremely fussy, who doesn't like this place.
I would like to thank Tunc at reception who has been extremely helpful throughout our stay.
I also would like to thank all the employees for their hard work and kindness. I cannot believe how they can work so hard for long hours and still they can smile. Amazing!
Ohh, needless to mention the food. Delicious Turkish cousin for everyone’s taste!
I cannot emphasize enough. “You will NOT regret going there!!”. It is the best hotel I have ever stayed.
We are definitely going there next summer. It wasn't enough:)
If you go there, you will see people’s hard work, so please please tip them at least before you leave the place which can be a nice way of showing your appreciation. That is what we did!
Demi.

" Fantastic Luxury Family Holiday "

We travelled to this resort last year with our son who was 18 months at the time. I cannot praise this hotel enough. The facilities were fantastic you can do as much or as little as you wish. The resort has three pools one with water slides there was a good choice of food, and as usual with all inclusive you can eat a la carte for two nights a week. This was our first holiday with a child and we could not have asked for more. Although my son was too young for the childrens clubs there was plently for the toddlers to do and lots of ride on's which he loved! The only downside was the hotel was so great we only ventured out twice! I have worked in the within the travel industry so have seen a lot of hotels and I have no hesitation in recommending Club Asteria!

Advice: A lovely resort

Activities: We eat out once is Side the food was excellent

" Well, what can we say, apart from we... "

Well, what can we say, apart from we arrived home yesterday and are booking today to go back next year. There are a few niggling little things such as Air Conditioning in the room is only turned on at certain times of the day and night, plus the toilets rarely have air conditioning and so earned the term 'Saunaloo'. the Food is incredible, and anybody will be able to find several dishes to satisfy them. The complex is large but after we got our bearings we had no problem letting our 12 year old play out of our site with his new found friends. For a family destination we cannot recommend the Asteria Club highly enough. We did everything we could while there, White Water Rafting, Scuba Diving, Water Park, Boat Trips to the Waterfalls, Jet Ski's, all of them booked from a local company at a fraction of the cost of the tour operator and all were amazing. See you there if you plan on going next year!!!

" The best holiday we have ever... "

The best holiday we have ever had!!!!Really can't understand some of the previous reviews on this site.
We had a problem when checking in as we had booked as a family of 6 and were given 2 rooms far apart, spoke to mustafa on reception and he sorted it out for us straight away, had to sleep in those rooms that night, came to reception next mornng and we were allocated a lovely family room with 2 bathrooms in a fab location 1 min from main pool, beach and silent pool.PERFECT!!!!!ASK FOR ROOM 1201.Yes there are quite a few different nationalities here but never found it a problem, enough english to be comfortable. My hubby joined in all the games and made loads of mates regardless of language, there are many ways to communicate!!!! The hotel itself is fab,the grounds are so beautiful, food was amazing, you could not go hungry here, breakfast til 10,then late brekkie til 11,then round pool jacket spuds and popcorn til 12.30.lunch from 12.30 til 2.00pm or get a snack at the pool bar from 1 til 4pm,then cakes, waffles, sweetcorn, candy floss,do-nuts etc til 5pm,restaurant opens at 7 til 9.30,then again for late night snacks from 11-12pm.never had any problems with the staff all were really lovely and a please and a thank you goes a long way(plus the odd tip here and there!).The animation team were the absolutely fantastic big thanks to SONER,VICTOR,SERGAY,DENYNS etc u made our holiday complete.Never met such a hard working bunch of staff. My 2 girls really enjoyed the kids club, they were made very welcome, even when it came to our last day the staff wanted to keep my girls there and let us go home on our own!!!!! If there was one complaint hated the sunbed run in the morning but always got a bed if u were up b4 8am.God only knows what time some of them get up at,some friends were up a 6am and all the beds round the shallow end near the pool bar were gone!!some people must never sleep.Euro 2008 was on while we were there and even though england weren't in it,everyone got in the spirit of it all,it was great watching all the different nationalities getting dressed up in there nations colours to support their team.Big hello to andy, tracy, ryan, olivia, ian, rachael, jasmine, hayden and kiera the holiday was so much better for meeting you lot. Will 100% be going back.

" Me (16), my mum (41) and my brother... "

Me (16), my mum (41) and my brother (14) went just after I had finished all my GCSEs. So when we arrived at the hotel that we had stayed in before I was happy because i knew what to expect.

The main reason why we chose to go to Turkey, is because we had the best experience last time, we knew there would be great weather because i had my high school prom in just over two weeks.

The accommodation was excellent, we had enough space for the three of us to sleep, my brother and my mum where both on the proper beds and i was in the outcove because i was the smallest to fit in so it was ok.

The food was amazing, no matter what time of day it was there was something to eat, which was good for my brother as he never got up until nearly lunch time, so he always missed breakfast.

Drinks where good because they had a wide variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, they where available all day which was good especially during the hotest hour.

The staff members where very entertaining, I got on with all of them because i spent most of my time either at the beach playing volleyball, on the basketball court, swimming or taking part of other activities. So as the first couple of days got on the staff got to know me quickly. They also spoke very good english.

I was never bored on any of my day time activities because there was always something to do. When it came to the night time there was a good show on every night in the ampertheatre. Which was amazing. I loved walking down to the beach of a night time because it was a lovely night every night with the sky, just the nicest weather to walk bare-footed along the beach.

There could have been more on of a night time I thought other than the show and the disco that started at 10pm and finished at 3am every night.

there are two pools and a dicuzi, which is amazing. you have one pool by the main restaurant and all the activities and then there is another pool by the beach next to where the disco is of a night time. there is a lot of space in the pool for everyone and even more space for sunbeds.

the spa is lovely if you just want to go and sit in the sauna its free and you can enjoy a bit of turkish shopping, which is sutuated in the complex. they also have their annual markets that are on every week.

Overall i really loved the hotel. and everything that goes with it.

I would recommend to families, couples and even the older generation that just wants to relax.

Just go and see for yourself, just dont take my word on it.

And anyway you may see me there every year as it is our annual destination every year.

" Would I go back to Antalya, Turkey -... "

Would I go back to Antalya, Turkey - most definitely YES but would I go back to Club Asteria - most definitly NO! I was getting quite excited about going to a Platinum All Inclusive hotel but was disappointed and thought it was more like an average 3*. I wish I had read the reviews before booking as some paint a very acurate picture. Unsupervised kids everywhere. Mostly German or Russian guests so the hotel catered for them mainly. Most of the staff spoke a little English but we found that this was very basic and you could not have a conversation with them or ask questions which was very frustrating at times. Food was average and luke warm at best. Tables were not cleared so if you missed the first sitting you often had to wait for staff to clear up. The wine was good but the fruit juices you had to pay for and they were not cheap, about £4!!!! Eating at the pool bars is a better option than the main resturant at mid-day as this is cooked to order but get there early for a seat. You couldn't get a sun bed by the pool as these were taken before breakfast but you probably wouldn't want to with so many kids about. Getting a bed by the beach was no problem but sand was very stoney. Apart from the obvious snow capped mountains in the far distance there was not much to look at. No interesting bays or rocks to swim to. Very bland. Sea got choppy in the afternoon so just for strong swimmers really. No point snorkling, nothing to see. Evening 'entertainment' was a singer. There was a lovely ampitheatre but this was mostly for kids holiday camp type enertainment. If you have a late flight home, beware, there are no courtesy rooms. We asked when we got there but was told to wait until the morning of our flight but unfortunately they were fully booked. Apparently you can reserve your room for later flights on line but we didn't know that until it was too late. There are communal showers and easy access to the luggage area so ended up not being a problem for us. Now for the good things - you had the option of booking a meal (one only) in the Italian, Chinese or Greek restaurant. The Chinese was great, really good. Even though they say book 2 days in advance - book immediately as we couldn't get into the Italian restaurant as fully booked 2nd day of our stay. Self-service coffee, tea and water available all day. You could probably eat all day if you wanted! Apart from meal times there were snacks going on regulary, waffles, pancakes, cake, candy floss (beware long waits in the queues due to greedy kids who get 2 at a time) and pop-corn. Hotel grounds were lovely and well kept. Room was nice and was kept clean. Beds comfortable and room was dark and quiet at night (Block 12) Antalya area of Turkey was very clean and pretty although a lot of building work going on. There were lots of interesting places to visit and lots to do outside the hotel. You can't walk anywhere from the hotel but there are taxi's or regular buses. If you don't like organised coach tours you can easily negotiate your own schedule via taxi or bus. We caught a bus to Antalya and managed to organise a trip to the waterfalls as well! They just want your money so will accomodate anything at a reasonable price. All in all a good holiday experience and if it was a 3* hotel I would have been very satisfied. Weather in May was comfortably hot. Chilly in the evenings. Sea and pool a bit cold but bearable once you are in!

" My wife and I have just returned from... "

My wife and I have just returned from one weeks holiday in this Club Asteria and boy are we glad we did not book two weeks! Talk about Butlins Holiday Camp!

First of all the weather for the first two days was very cold but then got better as the week progressed. However, the evenings were so cold that a jacket - and socks - were needed - there is only one very small indoor room - all other areas were outside and exposed to the elements. So if you wanted to watch or listen to the entertainment you had to suffer the cold as well.
There were plenty of waiters/waitresses moving around offering to fetch drinks so no problem there.

Now to the worst part.....hundreds of unruly children were allowed to roam the main restaurant which resembled a works canteen. Pushchairs and buggies everywhere accompanied by highchairs with screaming children. Every where you sat you were surrounded by this bedlam.
This eating area, could not be classed as a restaurant, was infested with birds flying all over and landing on the overhead lights abobe the tables. Any food that was left on the table for any reason was pounced upon like a pack of vultures. Imagine coming back to your table and unknowingly eating food that had been 'got at' by these birds? Imagine also taking a spoon of trifle or similar that birds had deposited their droppings in - YUK!
All the while, the catering staff simply put up with this hygiene problem and did nothing about it. THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE WE HAVE HAD IN TWENTY FIVE YEARS OF HOLIDAYING OVERSEAS.

The room we were allocated was most definitely not 5* - a very basic 3* and in need of upgrading. However, the housemaid did her best to keep it clean.
The gardens are vast and beautiful with a very tropical feel, however the beach is a serious let down - mostly pebbles and broken shells.

Finally, my wife and I love to walk during the day. The location of this hotel meant this could only be achieved along the beach, and I've mentioned its condition, or along the main road outside the hotel and in one direction only. Not a pleasant experience.

#So, would we go back? - MOST DEFINITELY NO.
#This hotel is great for families but NOT FOR COUPLES OR ADULTS WITHOUT CHILDREN.
#Does the hotel deserve Thomson Platinum rating? - MOST DEFINITELY NO.

" Have just had 2 week stay in Club... "

Have just had 2 week stay in Club Asteria! If you are thinking about going here in high season, then DON'T!

I have stayed in 2006 Papillion Hotel Belek, and 2005 Kaya Belek, Belek, and these are outstanding, also have been to Dalaman region and hotels have always been clean and service good - NOT LIKE ASTERIA!!!!

Staff ratio is very low! In restaurant (More like a bad canteen!) One waiter to 20 tables, other hotels in Turkey have more like 1 waiter to 8 tables! The result is they are overworked, miserable, and just ignore certain tables completely. Expect to find dirty plates left on tables, no tables available unless you clear them yourselves, and waiters will watch you, without apologies, until you look in their workstation for clean cutlery, and lay table yourself.

Some days you will of course find tables ready, and may be offered a drink, however, you will find that you have eaten by the time the drinks arrive (sometimes over half an hour).

If you go to bar yourself for drink, waiters have priority, and you will wait here for 15 mins maybe before being served, expect glasses to be slammed down hard, and for them to make it clear that they are only to serve waiters! Very disappointing!

Kitchens smelt, plates and glasses were dirty! I even saw chicken being cooked, and a set of tongs were used to put raw chicken breast onto grill, and same set used to lift cooked breast and serve onto peoples plates for eating.

Many guests were ill during stay quite often ear infections struck from pool as well. This is the only all inclusive where we have found it horrible to eat in hotel, and have paid to visit local towns and eat out, and not use pool! But at least we were not ill!

Mosquitoes are everywhere, even in bed linen, as this is left outside you room all day until maid comes to change your bed, and outside of course is covered in overgrown trees and vines. I would just like to point out again we loved our other holidays in Belek, and this hotel is not at all typical of the highest standards or wonderful people of the area, and we have booked next year 2 more holidays, but we would never go here again, and maybe not with Thomson again, for allowing a hotel to operate at this low standard. Everyone on coach on way back had a bad holiday here!

Pool caused ear infections for a lot of people, and it was surprising to see so many people on sun beds applying eardrops instead of sun lotion!

There really is no hope of getting a sunbed around pool, in other Belek 5 star hotels if you put your mind to it, you can achieve this, but not here, So many villas have been built, all the way to security gate that site really feels overcrowded, and staff are too few and far between. Over 700 rooms, and 2 people to serve at main bar!

Really, if you are going shortly (during high season), go to travel agent, and see if they can change your hotel, maybe to Kaya Belek, which is another Thomson about 6 hotels along, and you will have a wonderful holiday, and will not want to leave resort, although of course you should.

In Club Asteria expect the opposite!

" If you expect 5* its not, more like... "

If you expect 5* its not, more like 3*. Some rooms are not up to the standard I expected. Its not quiet and restful as brochure says its like a Butlins camp. Kids are running riot unsupervised by parents, spilling drinks, making floors treacherous to walk on, they are skating all over the place and climbing on water slides when they are closed.

Beds were taken everyday we were there by the pool but it was so noisy we couldn't have sat there without our eardrums bursting. I have never stayed in a 5* that turns off air conditioning centrally in peak season, all times are centrally controlled so you fry in your room when it goes off.

The kids club never approached our grandchildren and we were never told of any welcome meeting for them. Tables were left dirty in the dining room if you were not down to eat early and waiters usually avoided your eye. Many times we had to go get cutlery and drinks etc.

If you book a bigger party group they make no effort to place your rooms even in the same villa, BEWARE. Its not what I would imagine a platinum hotel to be and I have been to lots of countries including other hotels in Turkey. This was my 4th visit to turkey. I will never book with Thomsons again. The rep was aggressive and unhelpful, not platinum material either, told us the hotel was full and that was that. Mustafa on reception was the saving grace.

" Just back from this supposed 5 star... "

Just back from this supposed 5 star hotel, firstly just like to say that the hotel is beautiful, the gardens are really lush and the place is clean, but I have a number of complaints about the hotel.

Firstly on arrival the three rooms we had booked were spread all over the complex (there are villas, spread over the complex) so we were nowhere near each other, the rep was worse than useless. Finally managed to get moved to within the same block after 3 days.

Air conditioning in the rooms is on a timer goes on and off at various times in the day and night so for part in the night you have to lie awake sweating waiting to switch it back on (wasn’t automatic)! 5 STAR? 40 deg heat and you can’t use the air con when needed!

Ridiculous. There is no escape from the heat as the bars and restaurant are all outside so can’t be air conditioned, not too pleasant eating the (very nice) food while you are melting into a puddle on the floor!

The animation team never came near our kids who were reluctant to make the first move to join the kids clubs as most of the kids there were German, a welcome meeting or at least a few words of encouragement couldn’t have hurt. In our brochure it was advertised as a peaceful platinum hotel, the music started at the pool in the morning and went on most of the day, it was so loud that you could hardly hear to talk to each other when you were in the pool, not really necessary.

Don’t really know what else to say, we did have a good holiday but there were certainly things that could easily have been done by the hotel management to make it a more pleasant holiday for all visitors. A group that we chatted to said that they had a far better experience at the nearby Kaya Belek.

Most positive thing? Our one night at the Turkish restaurant. Must admit was not our first choice but was absolutely gorgeous.

All in all not my favourite hotel, not what you would expect for the money.

" We returned a couple of weeks ago,... "

We returned a couple of weeks ago, from a one week stay at the Club Asteria, Belek.

The flight to Belek from East Midlands went smoothly, and only took 3 hours 50 minutes - which was shorter than expected! We chose not to have a meal on the aeroplane, which suited us fine due to the early morning flight. (Although we had a couple of drinks at the airport - to get the holiday off to a good start!).

When we landed in Turkey, we had to pay £10 each for a visa, and were warned not to take any photos - as Antalya is a military airport.

The cases soon appeared, and we found ourselves directed to the Thomson coach, for the transfer to the hotel. This only took about 30 minutes, and we were given some forms to complete - to speed up the check-in process at the hotel.

The coach guide, 'SJ' was really funny & gave us a lot of information about the hotel and surrounding area. One thing he did mention though, was the problem with the amount of Russians in the resort. His quote was: ''we have one problem here in Belek, bloody Russians. Most hotels wont take them, but yours does''. He went on to describe their behaviour as aggressive, and although he tried to make a joke out of it, we were left puzzled at his comments.

We didn't worry too much though - as we usually get on with anyone, regardless of their nationality.

On arriving at the hotel, we were amazed at how beautiful the reception was. The drive up to the hotel is surrounded by trees and brightly-coloured flowers, which makes you feel like you have arrived on a Caribbean island! The reception is surrounded by bougainvillea, and leads down to gardens and water fountains.

The check-in was fairly quick, and we were given our keys & a map of the hotel. There was a table of welcome cocktails, but we didn't notice these until later - and just wanted to get to our room, so we could unpack.

Our room was really easy to find, and as with all of the rooms at Club Asteria, was a 2 story villa-type building. It was painted orange/pink, and again, was surrounded by beautiful gardens. The porter delivered our cases about 10 minutes later.

The room its-self was spacious, modern and very clean. As promised in the brochure, we had a safe & a mini-bar (fridge) filled with still water, fizzy water, fanta & cola. These were replaced daily, and every 3 days we received a weather forecast (around 35 degrees every day) and small boxes of Turkish delight.

The only down-side to the room, was the balcony. It had 2 chairs & a tiny table, but was too small to sit outside on really. If we wanted to dry our beach towels/swim suits, we had to put them over the chairs and table. Anyway, we had been warned not to sit on the balcony at night (with the light on), as there was a problem with mosquitoes - which I found out for myself! Make sure to take lots of antiseptic cream/repellant spray!

As soon as we'd unpacked, we headed for the beach - exploring the rest of the hotel on our way. It's a lot smaller than the brochure shows, but this was good as everything was within easy reach.

The 2 swimming pools and beach were lovely- we spent most days lazing on the beach, only getting up for some lunch/drinks! The 'silent' pool was really noisy, but was still the nicest out of the 2 pools. The larger pool with the water slides was always really busy & was impossible to get a sun bed after 8am!

The main buffet restaurant really lets the hotel down - it's just like a cattle market, and in the evening, it can take you 20 minutes just to find a free table - as there are no set times to turn up (anytime between 7.00-9.30), and only once did we manage to get a drink with our meal. We had to take 2 jackets down to restaurant with us (to stop people from stealing the table). It's definitely not what you expect from a platinum hotel!! When you do get used to the massive crowds though, the food is fantastic. They make such an effort - including carved melons, and ice sculptures.

You can eat anything, from the usual salad, etc. to freshly made pizzas, fish, every kind of meat.. And there are about 30 deserts to choose from every evening!

In the day, you can eat at any time - such as the pancake tent, waffles, tea & biscuits, salad, buffet, etc. We usually ate at the restaurant by the beach - which had a different lunch menu every day. The food there was delicious - especially the pasta dishes!

Again with the drinks - you could drink all day. Anything from larger, vodka, soft drinks to cocktails.

We experienced some problems with the Russians on the first night, which got the holiday off to a bad start. We sat on the end of a long table in the main bar (about 20 seats), which was occupied by about 5 russians at one end. As all of the other tables were full, we didn’t think this would be a problem - but we were wrong! After 5 minutes, a large group of Russian children came surrounded us, singing their national anthem, and shouting that it was a 'Russian table' & we were not welcome.

We just ignored them, as the table was not reserved - and all of the other tables were full. After a few minutes of this, a large Russian man came over, grabbed my fiancee's arm, pulled the chair away from him, and pushed him away from the table. He shouted that we were not welcome there, and walked towards me - as if to do the same.

We both went up to the reception, and asked for the police/security to be called - as this was not acceptable behaviour, anywhere - let alone a Thompson's Platinum hotel!

The next morning, everything was sorted out. We could have moved to their sister hotel, but just wanted to get on with our holiday. The man apologised to us, but we were cautious of his family for the rest of the week, and never felt completely safe. (Although the Thompson reps, Kerry and Mustafa were fantastic).

Because of this trouble, we were allowed to eat in all of the a la carte restaurants (Chinese, Italian & Turkish), which were all excellent - especially the Turkish.

Outside the hotel, there is nothing apart from a bus stop, and taxi rank. We caught the bus in Kadriye, but wouldn't recommend going there, as it was deserted! One person on this site has described it as a 'T-shirt shop ghost town' & I completely agree!! It was really strange to be walking down streets which were empty apart from the shop owners. Although this wasn't on the market day.

The one trip we went on, was the Antalya 'sights and shopping' trip, booked through the Thompson reps. This was only £10 each, and lasted for the whole day. We visited a waterfall on the outskirts of Antalya, a jewellery factory (very strange experience - has to be experienced to be believed!), and then had a few hours of shopping in Antalya.

Shopping in Antalya was fantastic, and we spent hours haggling in the bazaars, and came away with really cheap perfume, spices, Turkish delight, jewellery and the usual post cards, etc.

This day out was the only time we actually felt like we were in Turkey, as the hotel complex could have been anywhere. We heard the calls to mosque, and saw the traditional buildings, etc. I highly recommend this trip!

Overall, I enjoyed our holiday, but it didn't quite live up to our expectations. This was probably due to the problems we had on the first night. The hotel was lovely, but I doubt that I'll be returning in the near future.

" WOW!!! We had the most fantastic time... "

WOW!!! We had the most fantastic time at Club Asteria, Belek. We usually get a self catering apartment somewhere, but this year decided to go AI, plus it was also our 1st time in Turkey.

Club Asteria was just wonderful. We have 3 children aged 8, 9 & 12 and they were entertained from dusk till dawn. The teenage club (run by Oben) was a complete god send! My son was totally catered for and tried his hand at rifle shooting, archery, wall climbing and water volleyball as well as many more activities.

The pools at the complex are HUGE and plentiful (3 in all). Beach / pool towels provided every day for everyone. The sea was very child-friendly and the beach immaculately cleaned (every night!!!).

The whole animation team at the hotel worked their socks off and the evening performances were amazing considering they were not professional entertainers. When they got time to rehearse the complicated dance routines still remains a mystery!

The food at Club Asteria was gorgeous. Exceptionally varied and very plentiful. The choice each day was amazing. ALL the staff in the complex were so very helpful, friendly, attentive, and basically couldn't do enough for you.

The hotel is pretty isolated, however a bus / tractor (!!) stopped regularly outside to take you, for a minimal fare, to the nearest town where there were a few shops and market twice a week. Or from there you could get transport to larger towns. There were trips arranged by Thomson which apparently were very good, but with 3 kids we were just happy mooching around the complex and going for walks along the beach.

All in all - we couldn't recommend Club Asteria more! In fact, on our return, we booked to go next year!!! And this is coming from someone who swore never to return to the same holiday destination twice!!

" I would recommend this hotel to... "

I would recommend this hotel to families as well as couples, or groups of friends. This was the first time we had been to Turkey and we were very impressed.

The hotel was stunning and you were never bored of things to do. We had a slight problem with the rooms we booked and this was sorted by the reception staff within a matter of hours.

The food is excellent as there is a wide range of things for everyone. We especially enjoyed the Chinese meal at the a la carte restaurant. The food, service from staff and the setting was first class.

The animation team was superb, by the end of the holiday the whole family had made friends with them and they were very entertaining. The pool games and evening shows were amazing also, a real highlight of the holiday.

There were quite a few English families at the hotel, as well as Russian, French and German and it was really nice because everyone mixed in well and had good fun. Being 17, I wanted to go to the disco and had so much fun, the animation team were there and everyone just danced the night away. The music was really good as they played lots of new English songs. The pool was lovely and if you don’t enjoy the pool with activities and music around it, the smaller pool is very relaxing and quiet too. The water sports on the beach just by the hotel were good fun.

The holiday was just terrific and we would definitely go back again.

" I have just returned from my 3rd trip... "

I have just returned from my 3rd trip to Club Asteria. We arrived at 2am in the morning, which I know can be a bit of a chore, but was met at the airport by our Thomson Rep Kerry, with a warm and friendly smile. What a lovely way to be greeted, especially at that time in a morning. It made you feel that although it was early hours in the morning and you wanted to go to bed, you really felt that your holiday had started. She was very understanding about how we all must have been feeling, but soon made us all feel welcome. Once she had checked us all onto the coach, we then started on our 30 minutes transfer to the hotel. On the coach, Kerry came round with our registration forms to fill in, along with our towel and credit cards for the hotel. It may seem that it's the last thing you want to do filling out forms, but it saves a good 30 minutes at check in when you arrive. (Great idea Kerry, bonus points for that one) During the transfer, Kerry explained about the check in procedures, about the hotel, the history of Turkey which I found quite enlightening, and other various information that you may need. Normally I don't listen to the blurb on the coach, I just go to sleep, but this was different. It wasn't scripted like most transfers, it was useful and interesting information. I even found out new things even though this was my 3rd trip this year.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by Tiffanies from Guest Relations, along with cocktails. Check in took no time, we gave the porters our room number which they wrote on our bags, and then they delivered them to our room within 20 minutes. (Well worth a small tip)

When our bags had been delivered, we decided to go for a stroll around the hotel (about 3am) where we bumped into Tiffany and Kerry. They asked if we were settled. My travel partner explained that she was a bit hungry after the trip. They took us to the bar where Tiffany organised sandwiches, what service.

The food at the hotel is amazing. I am quite a fussy eater, but I was never without good cooked food. There is plenty for everyone, (even a diet buffet which I found useful towards the end of the holiday) The Chinese was great, they even brought out a birthday cake for my friend which was organised by Tiffany. (Nice touch Tiffany, thank you)

The Hotel itself is surrounded by beautiful planting. It is very tropical, great surroundings and very clean. You never want to leave the complex. The cleaners work so hard, not just in your room, but all around the complex. I saw them at 5am, cleaning down the seating area, at least 3 times during the week.

The Bar staff and waiters are great, if you order a drink from a waiter, be patient. The bar is very busy at night, especially after the show has finished. But they do get to you in the end. (TIP you might want to double up on your orders after a show)

The entertainment is brilliant. I was a bit shy to try any of the activities when I first arrived. I was surprised with how many activities I enjoy. (ANOTHER TIP have a go, it does make a difference to your holiday, promise) The animation team work so hard entertaining you not only through the day with the activities, but also during the night with the great and funny shows. Again, if they ask you to take part in a show, don't be shy give it a try!! There is something for all the family, and all ages. The mini club team and the teenager club team work so hard through the day to entertain the children. Things you might want to Try: Crazy Darts with SONER at 11.15. He is great fun, one of the best animators there. Air rifle and archery with SUNGIZ (not sure about the spelling of the name) Shuffle Board with ENGIN (Only speaks little English but is very sweet) the pool games at 12pm with all of the animation. The games are great fun.

HIGHLIGHTS OF MY HOLIDAY:
Meeting so many nice people, KERRY our rep, who can I say in my 10 years of travelling, she has to be one of the best reps I have had the pleasure of meeting. TIFFANIE from Guest Relations, who also went out of her way to make you feel welcome. The animation team for making our holiday so much fun, especially SONER who was the star animator on our holiday, Engin and Sungiz. And so many more people whose names I forget. Oh and Oben, mustn’t forget him (what a great chap)

If you get the chance to go to this superb hotel, you will have a great time. I could go on all day about this holiday, but don't want to give it all away, you need to experience it for yourself.

Tip: if you like shopping, you can get the local bus to the next village (1 euro or 50 cent ytl) it is only 5 minutes away or look on the board outside the hotel, and get the bus to Side or Antayla this is priced from 6 euros return. You can also order a pack lunch from reception so you don't even have the expense of buying lunch.

Have a great time, and hope you enjoy your holiday as much as I did.
