This resort is excellent could not fault it in any way, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are a couple shops right outside the resort for buying gifts and a "supermarket" more what we would call a corner shop. If you are brave enough to go into Hammamet or... more

Hotel staff and customer service first class
1st April to the 8th April. Rui Park El Kebir - All inclusive option. We arrived to rose petals in our room, clean and changed if required daily. Any request was met by a follow up telephone call to make sure that our requst had happened. Welcome meeting half rep and half Hotel Manager plus Heads of staff - made you feel that they were totally there for your needs. Fabulous hotel, weather not very good but that was down to the time of year. In the summer this hotel would be hard to beat. Right on the beach, abundant loungers attentively looked over by the pool attendant. Excursions - Recommend the Zulu evening. Don't listen to negative comments, it would be impossible to give a negative comment, so must be moaners or negative people. Brilliant hotel and staff makes you feel special. Say hello to Nora in Reception - and all the waiters. Animation team are fabulous for children but need updating for adults, but you don't have to go do you - make your own choice.
Lovely hotel
My boyfriend and I booked one weeks holiday here and we stayed from 28 March to 4 April. The transfer from Monastir airport was about 1 hour and a half and on arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink as we booked in. The reception staff were very friendly, explaining meal times, facilities, etc. We made our way to our room and were taking in our view from the balcony, when we were called from reception to ask if our room was OK. We also had a decorated swan on our bed and in the bathroom which was a lovely touch. Our first impressions of the hotel were very good and remained throughout our visit. All the staff are very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The hotel was extremely clean and tidy. The food was good but by the end of the visit we were getting bored of the same type of thing very night. Luckily, the second restaurant opened as we had gone into their summer season. The second restaurant was waiter serviced and offered a set Tunisian meal. The pool area and beach were well maintained, as soon as you went onto the pool area, the man found you sun loungers and got you mats. The outdoor pool was too cold to swim in when we were there but the indoor pool was a lovely temperature. We enjoyed our stay but felt ready to return home after one week. Two weeks would have been too long!
Nice Hotel
Just returned,,unfortunately the weather was not so good but the hotel was a pleasure to stay in ... If i could fault anything it would be the everning entertainment is a bit boring
Wonderful hotel
Last minute booking, not knowing where we were going at Christmas and ended up at this absolutely wonderful hotel which is second to none. Room, staff, food and facilities are outstanding,
The hotel and staff are both amazing!
My husband and i have just returned from the El Kebir hotel in Hammamet. I must say that the hotel is amazing and the staff are absolutely tremendous- nothing is too much trouble for them at all! The weather was not great at first but then we ended up with 4 days of glorious sunshine. The hotel itself is immaculately clean and food is truly delicious -with Tunsian food within the choice of buffet style every night. The entertainment staff are great, especially with the children. They do try to get everyone involved, especially dancing- they are great fun. The beach itself is absolutely immaculate, very clean. But beware of sellers on the beach, they will try to sell you anything from jewellary to cigarettes- they can become persistant!! My husband and i went into the capital, Tunis for the day. If you go on the train it will cost you 7 Diners (roughly £2.80) for a first class seat, but be warned you need to prebook when you come back on the train or else if the train is full you have to reserve a seat for the next one. Tunis is just an amazing city, it was like going back a thousand years in history. Try the medina, where the market is just full of aromatic smells of spices, and sights which you would never expect to see back in Britain. All in all, this was truly an amazing holiday. We will definately be returning the El Kebir Hotal. I do feel sad to be back in Britain
Great hotel
Stayed here last week, a great hotel. The good - Cleanliness both in rooms and with food, met no one with tummy complaints - a first when on hols in large hotels! esp in Africa. The spa is superb and very cheap. Finally the staff really make this place, friendly, efficient, but not 'in your face' ! The okay - No bottled water or tea or coffee facilites in rooms - although all inclusive it meant that you either drank at certain times or stashed cups for later! No irons in rooms or to be borrowed - had to send clothes away for 48hours if needed a quick ironing
Try The Indoor Pool
We have just arrived home after a week at this hotel and our overall impression if very good. The reception staff arranged for us to have a meal whilst they took our cases to our room. The porters did not expect a tip so no pressure there... The waiters / reception staff and chambermaids seemed genuinely plesed to help us with any questions we had and nothing was too much trouble, except don't expect the mini-bar in your room to have anything in it. The animation team could have tried a little harder to help us forget the horrible weather that was happening outside, they just relied on the old favourites of darts and gymnastics. Try the indoor pool, it never got busy even though no-one braved the cold outside pool. The journey to and from the hotel is very long so time to catch up on any lost sleep!
Excellent staff.
Spent five nights here. Wonderful Riu welcome even though we were very late - straight into dinner and then found our room and bed were covered in Rose petals and towel decorations.(everything needed and spotless as all Riu hotels are). Wonderful staff in dining room with very caring head waiters and excellent discreet service by waiters. Food very good but salad choice could have been wider. Hot and cold drinks available to serve yourself throughout the day and bar staff and waiters excellent. However was a little dissapointed that bottled water was not available freely as it is in most other Riu all inclusive hotels. Entertainment team were very enthusiastic and kept everyone happy including the children. Lovely grounds and pool. Pads for chairs were not allowed on the lovely beach, which is a little dissapointing for those of us with back problems. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay. Will remember especially the very kind dining room staff.
Going back for more
Well this will be our 3rd year at what we think is a fantastic hotel. The food is always fresh, plenty of it and served by the best hotel staff in any RIU Hotel ( and we have stayed in a few over the years). From the moment that you reach the front desk to that last moment before getting on the coach to come home, you are treated like royalty. The feeling of an honest welcome overwhelms you. The facilities may not be the latest all singing/dancing plastic palace like some IBer^^^^ hotels make out, but for sheer pleasure this is Utopia, Digi,Waseem, Memo, Momo Meomau and the rest work so hard to let you really relax and enjoy yourself, Abdu and the bar staff are like men working at the coalface, sheer grit, in the kitchens they have a team of magicians, the only Riu to come close to this one ( and its a fair way off) would be the Riu El Mansour in Mahdia, but the jewel in the Riu crown has to be this, their best kept secret, We got stuck into boules archery you name it, we made fabulous friends with Germans ( YES ), Dutch, Italian and Swedes,a truly great friendly happy hotel. Can't wait to go back again this summer ( June 07), to meet up with some old international friends and experience the good times again. Yes you will get whingers who complain about the food, but if you really must eat chip butties all the time , stick to Blackpool, If you are a vegetarian NO PROBLEMS HERE, If you complain that a bulb is out or the fridge is not working , the electrician is there in 5mins, you need anything, reception provides it ASAP, the beaches are lush. I have yet to find ( and now I never will ) a British hotel that can offer the same level of cleanliness, food quality and animation team like this one. Like in the words of the poolside song " I want to go to Riu ", we can't wait. SEE YOU THERE !!
A delightful 3 night short break
After pondering over so many short break deals, we eventually found our 3 night break. We wanted 3 days of sunshine so we could just chill out and laze around on the beach. We found that when we arrived there. Our hotel was right on the beach and the view was great. The hotel pleased us straight away, our room was fantastic it was spotless, everything just gleamed at us. On arrival we walked into our room with the smell of fresh petals sprinkled over our bed and bathroom rug, it smelt wonderful. The food was non stop, whether it be morning, noon or night, you could have as much as you wanted. That's what is so good about all inclusive offers. The meals were varied each evening. Such a good selection you were spoilt for choice or just to full to be able to eat anymore. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, they couldn't do enough for you. They had entertainment on, on a couple of evenings and everyone seemed to be having a very good time.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and on the flight back home, we had wished we had booked it for a week. Would recommend this hotel for sure.
