Returned from these apartments a few weeks, it was our second time staying in the Ferrerra Blanca Apartments and it was faultless.

The rooms were clean, and spacious, the reception staff were friendly and I even managed to email the staff to ask if we could reserve the same apartment as our previous holiday, and when we arrived we got the apartment we had asked for!

Great service, great apartments and a great holiday. I would definitely recommend these apartments and plan to return next year.

Overall we enjoyed our two week holiday with our 3 year old. The one bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, and well equipped. We had a big balcony in a room in block 12.

The room was cleaned every 3 days and towels replaced every two days (and sometimes more often than that). The reception staff were knowledgeable and helpful.

We organised a few trips through them and they always negotiated a free child place for us even though he is now of an age to pay the child price.

The down side to the apartment was that it overlooked the main pool and snack area as well as the main entertainment stage. This wasn't a problem the first week as the evening entertainment was held in doors but this changed in week two.

Loud music was played three times a day (10.30am-12pm, then 3.30-5.30pm and 10pm-11.45 or so). If you like lying round the pool and listening to amateur entertainers this you won't mind the noise.

We were nearly always out during the day so it didn't bother us but on the few occasions in the evening when we would have liked an early night it was impossible. We did ask reception to even consider turning it down but with no success.

We were covered in mosquito bites after our first night only to discover that we had about a dozen of them in our room. Once they were all flushed out then we didn't have a problem - so have a good look round before going to bed.

On the whole the complex is a good standard and near to the beach (down a number of steps). The town centre is a pleasant 10 minute walk away and the resort is child friendly with lots of places serving 'chicken nuggets' for a very picky toddler.

We missed having a promenade to walk along in the evening so if you don't mind wandering round the many shops and food places then you'll enjoy Cala D'or.

Just returned from the Ferrera Blanca. Arrived around noon and our apartment was not ready until 2p.m. Not a problem as we had a walk to the beach and found our bearings.

Apartment basic but very clean. Staff very friendly and very helpful.

Normally we head to the beach but not on this occasion as the entertainment at the poolside was second to none and I couldn't get my 12year old daughter away!

Mauri, Chico, Miguel, and Pablo! What a team!

Cala Ferrera has plenty of small shops and eating establishments and a 10min walk will take you into Cala D'Or where there is a fantastic selection of eating places and some beautiful shops! Try the cocktail bar opposite the mini golf! Fabulous!

Our favourite restaurant was the Polynesian beside the Ferrera Blanca, staff just so so friendly! Try the cocktail bar attached to the Polynesian later at night. Super!

Had a fantastic week here [thanks to my new best friends Joe, Jane, and Connor, who led us astray every night!].

I would recommend these apartments to anyone! 2 key but I believe they deserve a higher rating! Would certainly head back to this area and these apartments anytime!

This was a real bargain holiday. I and My partner and six year old son had one week at the Ferrera Blanca Apartments. We thought that they were really good value for money.

Our Apartment was bright and airy and with a nice balcony overlooking the tennis courts. It was well equipped with a microwave. Toaster and kettle and load of utensils and pans etc. It was cleaned three times during the week and the towels and sheets were changed once.

The pools were clean as were the areas around the pools. The restaurant was really nice the food and wine were cheap just 10 Euros for an adult and 5 for a child. Wine was under 5 Euros!

The walk to the resort and beach was very pleasant and the actual resort centre was very close. Cala D'Or is a bit further to walk but worth it for the marina and the lovely restaurants and shops.

If you get the chance to see the Pirates Show which should be run by your tour operator you should definitely go it was absolutely amazing!!

This was a great value for money family holiday. I would definitely go again.

We stayed at the Ferrera Blanca apartments, Cal a Dor Majorca.

Very good apartments, they even have a washer and dryer in apartment’s grounds.

Cleaned every second day, about a 10 minute walk to town, Very nice staff.

We would stay here again especially at the price we got with Airtours.

The apartment had a microwave and kettle and had some nice views; I believe we could have asked for a sea view apartment, we had a pool view one.

My husband and our two teenage boys travelled to Cala D'or on the 19th May 07 for one week’s holiday at the Ferrera Blanca apartments.

We booked blind on the internet, and I have got to say we were really pleasantly surprised as the accommodation and resort were really excellent.

We arrived at about 7.30pm, and were very quickly allocated our apartment, which was really well situated for our family, in front of one of 3 pools and right where the evening entertainment took place.

There are a variety of restaurants within walking distance of about 5 minutes; our favourite was actually joined to the hotel complex, and all very cheap and tasty.

Our apartment was large, clean, and modern with cleaners coming practically every day. We were able to cook our own breakfasts on the ample cooker and there was also a microwave, fridge, kettle, and toaster - all in working order.

The beach was down quite a few steps, but again very clean with sunbeds to rent if you liked or as we did, just put your towels on the sand. The town itself was very close, and we walked there most days as there were plenty of shops, bars etc.

The marina is about half an hour’s walk away, but way worth the walk as the boats are amazing! The staff at the complex mainly keep themselves to themselves which suited us, and the entertainment was a bit 'Butlins' but a lot of fun.

The weather was very hot, take plenty of high factor sun cream as you really burn on the beach especially as there is quite a wind that blows so you don't notice your burning.

We decided on the first day that we will definitely return next year and would highly recommend it to families or groups of any age. Cheap and excellent value holiday!

We have just got back from a week at Ferrera Blanca Apartments. There was myself, my husband and my 2 year old daughter.

The resort of Cala Ferrera is nice. Clean and nice to look at. The beach at Cala Ferrera is excellent. The pedelo’s were great fun and cheap to rent.

Would highly recommend the Cafe on the beach for lunch. Reasonably priced food and lovely staff. We were disappointed that there was only one Spanish restaurant that we could find near the accommodation and this was quite expensive.

The rest were British, Pizzerias or Mexican. They were nice but we wanted to try some local food. Cala D'Or, on the other hand, which is about a 10 to 15 minute walk, has fantastic restaurants on the harbour with lovely Spanish food and as cheap as the restaurants in the resort. They were well worth the walk.

All the Majorcans were really friendly and helpful and loved our little girl.

The apartment however was a major disappointment. Perhaps we were expecting too much for what we paid for.

The apartment was tiny, too small for us, and the view was the drains, wasteland and a hotel with building works. It felt like we had been given the apartment that they only rent out when they are busy, as it seemed a lot smaller and worse than the others (Block 8- Room 102).

We had no front door, which others had, just a balcony with a French door that you couldn't lock and some metal grid doors that shut over the French doors and locked. We were given a microwave that we couldn't plug in and the room was dusty. We only got cleaned once and she missed half the floor.

The apartment was generally quiet but our bedroom ceiling was the apartment above's balcony and the people insisted on coming back at all hours and moving the furniture round the balcony for ages, which woke us all up several times. And we could hear their air conditioning all through the night.

The staff there were very nice and tried to help as much as possible. And the breakfasts at the restaurant were great. Really cheap and loads of choice. As was the shop, it had lots and not bad prices.

The location was excellent as it was right near the beach. And the pool near our apartment was pretty good. The main pool near receptions was busy, loud and next to the bar. It felt very Brits Abroad-ish.

Unfortunately they are not too hot on Non-Smoking over there so we had many meals with people smoking and blowing smoke over us which was really irritating. But not much you can do about it really.

Wouldn't go back to Ferrera Blanca Apartments but would go back to Cala Ferrera and Cala D'Or.

Could not fault these apartments at all. In a lovely position right next to the beach, with 2 lovely large pools and a separate baby pool.

Just came back from a week here with my husband and 2 year old daughter, would definitely go back!

Apartments are at the edge of the resort of Cala dor but has loads of bars and restaurants close by, or is a lovely 20 minute walk into the centre if you want even more choice. Rooms spotless and cleaned 4 times a week.

One of the best holidays I’ve had.

Just got back from a great holiday. Stayed at the Ferrera Blanca apartments for 1 week.

The apartments were basic, but clean and comfortable. Maids cleaned and changed towels and sheets twice during my stay.

The pools were great and so were the staff.

Overall, I have no complaints about the accommodation.

The resort itself is good, although it was still fairly quiet as the season hadn't yet started. The beaches and coves were clean and beautiful. There was an issue with jelly fish during my stay!

I arrived on a Saturday in Cala D'or and I am a smoker. Unfortunately, the reception at Ferrera Blanca and the supermarkets do not sell cigarettes at all. The tobacco shops are only open Mon - Fri.

The only place you can buy cigarettes at the weekend is from the machines located in some bars!

For evening entertainment, I would highly recommend the Carabel Pub (Dogs Bollocks).

The staff Fillipe and Maria are fantastic and Fillipe's party trick entertainment is not to be missed. Happy Hour everyday 8pm - 10pm!

I went on the Pirates Night excursion and this is a show not to be missed. Great Show, Great Night out!

This was a cheap holiday for us so we weren't expecting a lot from these apartments.

On arrival we had to wait 20 minutes for our room to be cleaned. Once in the room we discovered it was very small for 3 adults and 1 child, but because we got it cheap we weren't complaining.

There was a smell of damp in the room and 1 of the beds in the bedroom constantly felt damp.

When we told the rep of this we were informed that this was due to tropical storms they had had the week before and as our apartment 9 103 didn't get a lot of sun it wasn't drying out.

Only had maid service once in the 7 days and our towels were only changed once in the week.

Pools were reasonably clean and the view from apartment was good (pool and beach).

Ate out every night at 3 dolphins and duke of Devonshire. Lovely food at both but duke of Devonshire a favourite.

Carabel Pub is a must for entertainment thanks to Fillipe and staff for making our nights in there fun. Good drinks and happy hour of 2 for 1 from 8 - 10 every night.

Would definitely stay in this area again but not these apartments.

This was my 4th time to Majorca and my second time to Cala D Or.

The first was an experience that I would rather forget, so when my parents told me they had booked to go there again, I was a little wary.

There was no need! Cala D Or is gorgeous, sun sea and sand exactly what I want in a holiday.

The apartments are great, clean spacious, for a 2/3 * we couldn't complain. We had a slight problem with our TV not being tuned (this was a great tragedy to the father figure) but it was replaced with a bigger, better telly for his return from the beach thanks to the friendly reception and maintenance staff.

Also a couple of slats of one of the beds were missing when we arrived but again maintenance staff were up within minutes, so don't be afraid to query things at reception as our experience was that they are always happy to help.

We do think it was the first time our room had been used since close of the previous season, so do not think these problems were reoccurring. They were soon forgotten.

The location is awesome! Is really close to the start of shops/ restaurants! I would definitely suggest you take a walk to the marina, it does take about 45mins but there are plenty of places to go for a san Miguel to make it worth your while! :-) It is really beautiful.

Beaches are great but because the hotel pool was so good and so near we went there most days. It was very clean - one morning I was down dreadfully early and saw one of the maintenance guys testing the water in the pool and then taking samples away, the first time I had ever seen that. Pool area was good.

We were in the main building and so used that pool, this is where most of the activities are although not for the younger kids as some on the boys (cough) got a bit carried away. makes your day a lot more fun.

The beach bar (my one complaint) only serves stuff like hamburgers and hot dogs! Stuff I'm not really into although the rest of my party said it was great.

I went to the apartment and had my lunch as you can't eat your own food at the pool, this was not a big issue as it was good to get out of the sun for a while.

Shops, for any girl (or boy) who likes to shoes or bags then Cala D Or is the place to come! Plus a trip to Palma for more of the same. It is a lovely city.

We did this trip ourselves as we hate all the talk you get with organised trips, we prefer to explore for ourselves. Its a great trip but a long journey and then a lot of walking so maybe not for people with young kids.

Also remember to check the time of last bus back, they don't run that late so make sure you get it or it will be a fortune for a taxi back.

Night life in Cala D Or is good, there are Millions (millions) of restaurants and bars. The outside entertainment (I forget the name, its on a bridge) is where we went most nights and it was the usual guff (Elvis etc).

Cocktail bars are good fun, waiters up for a laugh! Most have parrots (for some reason) which provide some hilarity!

Eating out is great. I would never come to Cala d'Or as all inclusive, you would miss out on so much. Tapas is my fav food of all time so I was in heaven, plus you have to go to El Rancho (literally round the corner), we didn't discover this place to our last night but it was one of the best meals we had those 11 days! *sigh*

This was one of the best holidays I have ever had, we were a part of 4, (16, 18 (me), 43 and 47) and we all had a ball!

There is a good enough balance in Cala D'Or which keeps teenagers happy with enough entertainment and nightlife, but also has a whole different side which may suit the more mature travellers.

If you are unsure about Cala D'Or as a place or the Ferrera Blanca, then I would say go for it. You will not and could not regret this, anyone who disagrees, then I call you scrooge (bah humbug) ha ha! Have fun you lucky people.

My family (husband & boys aged 12 & 16) & I have just returned from a couple of very enjoyable weeks, at Ferrera Blanca Apartments.

We found the accommodation although basic, to be clean, reasonably comfortable & very good value for money. The facilities for entertainment are ideal if a little noisy at times.

Our apartment was located directly above the main outdoor entertainment area & we were woken each morning (approx. 10.00 am) by what turned out to be non-stop but very pleasant pop CD's, playing just the sort of music most 'hip & trendy' 50 year old parents can just about remember (Barry White, Wet Wet Wet, Hot Chocolate etc...)

The 'Animation Entertainment Team' worked tirelessly to keep everyone amused & entertained & certainly succeeded in our case. We are not the sort of family who would normally join in with 'The Butlins Crowd' type fun but at Ferrera Blanca the entertainment is magnetic & just draws you in! A huge thank you to the sexy Italian, Dominic, who led a very professional & multi cultural team of 4 performers. Although our boys were well past Kids Clubs, we could see many tiny tots, from toddlers ~ 12 year olds, having great fun & being taken very good care of by the 2 girl assistants.

The evening entertainment was varied & the professional acts were hugely enjoyable. I cant believe I'm saying this, but the Elvis look-a-like performer provided a brilliant evening's entertainment, hunky, good voice & very amusing.

The in-house entertainment, provided by Dominic & his team, was hilarious & had even die hard holiday Brits. begging for more. They all worked so hard; from the a.m. water polo games, mime acting & quiz nights thank you to you all.

I would urge anyone reading this take a couple of nights from your first few days to sit in on the entertainment & you'll be hooked for the rest of your stay.

From an un-typical 'Brit Abroad' who generally walks in the opposite direction from holiday shows & insufferable cabaret turns, this was in the Premier League of good all round family fun!
