I have just returned from a week at this hotel and would highly recommend it, everything from the room to the food, the staff are all really friendly. Originally booked to go half board but after 2 days upgraded to all inclusive as the food is lovely. Also the beach which is a couple of minutes away is lovely. Walked into the town a couple of evenings and plenty of shops if you like looking round. Never had any problems getting a lounger round the pool which is excellent considering it is peak season. I would defenitley go again, went with my two teenage children who also really enjoyed themselves.

What a nice place to be. But beside the fact that the see and the centre of Cala d'Or where very close by. We have had a marvelous time with the members of the animation team. We want to thank Esther, Anneleen, Sarah, Eros, Pedro and Ray for there enthousiasme. They where so nice for the young people but also for the adults. Come on lets play archery, waterpolo, volleyball. Making t-shirts with the kids and hockey etc. But next to stuff like this they gave us marvelous shows. Like Crease, Blues Brothers. Liza Manelli, Cabaret etc. I hope that they will stay together to give the guests the holiday they never forget. They are a very special nice group together. Thanks for a wonferfull holiday. Wonderful week at the Ferrera Blanca Apt from JintyG
I have just returned from the Ferrera Blanca Apts and would definately recommend them. And I would love to return there. My husband and I travelled with our 2 boys (aged 7 and 6) and they both had a great time. The entertainment team were outstanding. From early in the morning until midnight, there was always something going on. Whether it was aerobics, water polo, fun and games for the children, there was something for everyone. The team were very welcoming to all and took time to get the know the families. The apts were compact and very clean ( they were cleaned every day with towels changed every other day). The air conditioning was excellent and a life saver as the weather was in the 30's every day.

Me my husband and two boys age 12 and 9 have just returned from an 11 night stay at the Ferrera Blanca.We stayed there on an all inclusive deal and i can say the food was lovely. There was always plenty of choice for everyone and loads of desserts available.The breakfasts especially were really nice.The apartments are set out over a complex into different blocks,most of the complex had been re-modernised including the restaraunt which was very modern and airy really nice.The actual apartment block we stayed in was one that hadn't been modernised but it was still really nice,the maids came in every day there was always plenty of fresh clean towels and the kitchen area was equipped really well.The bedding was change every couple of days same as the towels. The hotel staff were very friendly always on hand to help you in fact they couldn'nt do enough for you.Also the entertainment staff were fantastic they were brilliant with the kids always doing something with them and they actually took time to really get to know them and what mum and dad were called.They also did a wide variety of activities for adults which included shooting,archery,water polo,table tennis aerobics etc and the some of the shows they put on at night were brilliant they really put a lot of hard work into what they did.Well done to all the gang who were Eros,Pedro,Sarah,Esther,Anneleen and Ray.Also the weather was red hot which really put the icing on the cake. I would definately recommend this hotel and Cala D'or is a lovely place,i would definately stay at Ferrera Blanca again.xx
A Perfect Holiday from RonalddeBode
We spend 2 weeks at a Ferrara Blanca appartment in Cala d'Or from 1 june 2008 till 15 june 2008, Half Pension. The food was very good, appartment simple but clean, personel very friendly, so I had a great holiday. There's alsoo a very good animation team. You're kids are entertained, adults can sport (volleybal, shooting, archery, darts) and after dinner there's a mini disco for kids, for adults there's entertainment. me and boyfirend stayed in these apartments for a week. worried at first when we seen all children but there is a bit of everything for evryone got the choice of balcony apartment or poolside apartment didnt mind either because it was a beautiful view no matter were u wer. so much to c in one week wish we could have stayed for 2 weeks. are apartments wer cleaned each day. the nightlife was very good we loved the hacienda bar each night there was entertainment and bar staff were allways friendly. would recommend this bar to anyone of all ages. the best restuarant was the duke of devonshire not only was a fast service but beautiful food and the nicest staff. would go back again any day xx

Just returned from what we believe is our worst holiday in 20 years. Having read previous reviews we did not expect perfection but nor were we prepared for - childrens crayon drawings on apartment walls,a kettle designed so that it could only be switched off by unplugging it at the wall socket,a microwave with a power cord so short it did not reach the plug,an invasion of ants in the kitchen area( which we eventually controlled by plugging gaps around the work surface and kitchen units with wet tissue)a floor that the maids never swept all week although they did change the towels three times.I could add more suffice to say the accommodation is tired,shabby and in need of major updating and renovation. Soon after arriving we realised that it must have been scottish half term week. Most of those staying were scots who seemed only able to communicate(adults and kids)by screaming and shouting and I guess they got up pre dawn (and started shouting) to ensure they did not miss any of the free daylight and sunshine Evening entertainment ?? well nightly a game of Bingo followed by the likes of a Guitarist or a sketch show that centred around an armless man being assisted to use a urinal with lots of Base inuendo would not entertain many as lack of laughter suggested. Whilst the travel rep cannot be held responsible for the antisocial behaviour of some of her clients ,if she strayed more than 20yds from her desk from time to time she might discover the bags of rubbish and laundry at the bottom of staircases for 2 & 3 days and the other things that need attention throughout the site. Whilst Cala D'or has many shops,restaurants and bars the whole area is also tired and in need of renovation to such as pavements. We were last in this resort many years ago and it has certainly gone down since then. Honest suggestion - Try another resort and avoid Ferrera Blanca.

My wife and I went to cala d or and stayed at the Ferrera Blanca , and can honestly say it is one of the best hollidays we have had .We walked into the town center a couple of times and had a look round but to be honest there is everything you need at the ferrera blanca . The Polinesian restuarant does exellent food the appartments where kept clean the pools where handy and the beach was only a minutes walk from our appartment which was block 8-305. At night the entertainment which was put on in the Ferrera Blancas bar was first class my wife and i would like to say a very special thanks to Kiko- Mori- and Miguel for making our holliday so enjoyable. We booked last minute and went for 1 week commencing 25th September, having read lots of peoples reviews on here we were worried, it read like a nightmare (the fussy people know who they are) but myself, my husband and my two year old daughter loved it. The location is perfect, the area is fantastic for families and the accommodation was more than we expected. I would definitely book again! My parents also travelled so we got to see more than one apartment in two separate blocks and both were spotless with plenty or room, facilities were spot on and we were all pleased with what we got. Not sure why here is listed as two star though I think it should be more??
You get what you pay for from 247sunshine
My boyfriend and I stayed in these apartments in Sept 2007. We were in block 14 which was at the back of the complex, and our balcony overlooked one of the smaller, quieter pools. The apartment was basic and well equipped but it wasn't cleaned to a high standard. It was cleaned three times in the week we stayed there - each time i had to sweep the floor properly! After the first night there were ants running riot over the kitchen sink, although a spray with insect repellent twice a day kept them away for the rest of the week. The tiny TV only had two British channels. On the plus side, the apartments were a 3 min walk to the small beach and had three pools to choose from. The sunloungers on the beach are expensive to hire so buy a lilo and grab a spot on the beach early as it can get crowded. Cala Ferrera and Cala D'or merge into each other and offer lots of great bars and restaurants which were good value for money. Great resort but these apartments need to step up their cleaning service.
