Hotel Borneo

We recently went on a last minute holiday for a week to the hotel Borneo in Calla Millor.
This is a 4 star hotel right next to the beach in a great location. All rooms have a sea view and were very clean and comfortable if a little on the small size.
There were 3 of us travelling and we had two adjoining twin rooms for which no single supplement was charged, which was great.
We had originally booked the hotel Acorn Sumba which is a sister hotel and right next door, but when we arrived we were allocated the Borneo.
The centre of Calla Millor is only a few minutes stroll away where there are lots of cafes and bars which is where we went most evenings. The hotel also offered half board or all-inclusive but we decided to opt for BB so we could eat out in the evenings.
Some people may well like to upgrade, as it doesn’t cost much more (maybe about £60 I think).
The only criticism I have of the hotel (and Calla Millor in general) is that because they cater mainly to the German market. We were often made to feel second class, especially in the hotel restaurant where several times we were made to wait until other guests had been seen to even though we were their first.
Of course it doesn’t help matters that most of us Brits, unlike the rest of Europe, don't speak a second language and not many people there speak English.
Having said this, it wouldn’t put me off going back to Calla Millor or even the hotel Borneo, as it was a really nice place with a high standard of facilities and decor.
