Considering this is the cheapest hotel to stay in in Giardini Naxos I thought it was pretty good. OK so it's not the Ritz, but it has good showers that work, balconies in every room, a TV that plays every european channel you can think of and very friendly staff. Even the barman spoke 6 different languages. There were sun beds at 3 euros a day which was cheaper than any of the lidos in town, and if you don't want to pay, the deck chairs are free.
If you are looking for an extremely cheap beach holiday and you don't plan to stay in your room for most of it, then this Hotel is perfect.
Thomas Cook on the other hand, charge twice as much as the locals for all of their excursions. We paid 49 euros each to go up Etna, the only day available was a Monday and there was an electrical storm so we couldn't reach the summit. We found out later in the week that you can get a coach up there every day from Taormina bus station for 21 euros, and you don't have to listen to the dreadful american tour guide all day either.

We have just come back from 1 week stay at the Hotel Nike 3*. Unfortunately this hotel shouldnt even have a star rating. Someone else staying there actually said the hotel needs knocking down and rebuilding. We were given 2 different rooms after we complained and both had broken floor tiles, broken and torn furniture. The bathrooms unclean.. We found the hotel staff unfriendly bordering on discourteous, the breakfast consisted of stale rolls, luke warm dish water as coffee and no fresh fruit, museli or any variation. We found the whole experience very unsatisfactory.
Giardina Naxos is a nice resort, but is run down and not very clean. Very touristy. The island of Sicily is beautiful and there are many places to see like Taoramina, Siracusa, Godfather country. Would suggest stay in Messina or Taoramina area. Great views as well and the people seemed a lot friendlier than in Giardini Naxos.

At hotel Nike at Giardini Naxos, it is perfect for those wishing to be out of the room all day. Nike is one of the cheapest hotels in Giardini Naxos and has a pleasent enviroment surrounding it. The rooms are pleasent, considering this being a cheap hotel, and there are pleanty or retaurants close by. However, the basthrooms were a letdown. The lock on the door was broken and the shower was falling apart but apart from this, the rest of the hotel was satisfactory.
