I went to Malia for the first time this year, and I have to say us girls had the greatest time!Definatly planning to go back there next year, bring on the parties!
Drossia Palms was easily the best hotel in the area, the pool was lush, and the food at the bar was also good!
Just directly opposite the Red Lion, you walk down an alley, and step into paradise! It's in the main area of Malia, and Tom does the best cocktails ever!
Gregory and Tom made it such a great time for us, miss them so much! DON'T listen to what people say about Tom!You are out there for a holiday, not a full on romance! He is a great guy, and although yes he can be a bit of a tart bless him, he doesn't lead you on!One of the most hilarious blokes I have met!And Gregory, well...we all love him!
The rooms are amazing too, very clean and spacious.
I recommend this hotel to everyone!stay there!

Have just got back from a fantastic time in Malia. The Drossia palms helped make our stay. The rooms were clean, as was the pool. It is situated not far from the beach, at one end of the strip, yet it is a quite place and you feel very safe there. The staff are very nice and make you feel welcome. The reception area is just off of the pool, and has internet facilities and a wide screen tv, so you can have a drink at the bar and still keep an eye on the kids. We would stay here again and highly recommend it.

First of all the Drossia Studios are not the same place as Drossia Palms in Malia (about 50 meters apart) so dont get them mixed upThe Drossia Studios are in a fairly good location for the beach (approx 100m) but they have no pool. Opposite the studios is a rental firm for Quad Bikes so it is very noisy all day and night. Also there appears to be a taxi rank outside the studios for everyone coming out of the nightclubs so as you can guess lots of abuse and arguments at all hours of the early mornings. The staff were however, very friendly and very helpful if you needed anything.
A good place to eat was Sticky Fingers if you like Ribs and Steaks and that sort of thing.
I would not return to Malia as I thought it was too noisy and only catered for the younger generation (18 - 30) or if you liked football and nightclubs as there was no entertainment in any of the pubs. The beach had what they called 'Sea Urchins' which were lads hassling you to sit at their sunbeds (a bit like you get outside all the pubs, trying to drag you in). However you did not get this in Stallis. We found Stallis to be much better and some pubs had entertainment in them.
Malia however was very clean. If you want a very lively holiday and you are a party animal then go to Malia, if not then dont go there, try somewhere different

This hotel is brilliant. for the money you are not going to find a more relaxed place in all of malia. its at the bottom of the strip, but it is just about not visible, (dont be put off by the lane, its a tunnel toa haven) the 24hour bar means there is always service. early in the mornings the bar will have a few people coming in that work in the bars and on the doors after work but very few straggles just turn up due to the seclusion of the hotel (despite its prime location) Tom the evening barman is a good laugh and gregory the night barman is one of the nicest guys in malia. if you treat him well he will do the same to you
the pool is relaxed and never packed can get a bit too shady but that copmes with having palms in the name.
only niggle is that the water pressure can go from time to time and considering we were in one of the biggest rooms in the hotel the toilet and shower were tiny, although the bathroom itself was a decent size)
all in alll as a group of 13 we decided that Drossia palms made this holday for us and has left many of us wanting to return.

Just got back from Malia - what an amazing holiday!! Drossia Palms is the best on the island for so many reasons.. the rooms are clean with facilties that actually work, the pool and bar area are always clean and tidy, you feel safe there as the security is red hot!! and then there is the staff. All amazing people, Manos (the owner) what a lovely man, takes time to get to know his guests, Tom (the barman) a top guy, makes you laugh and is a legend when it comes to cocktails, barbie in the kitchen who does the best food, the girls behind the bar who are always smiling, and then there is Gregory!! This guy is without a doubt, the BEST!! He always looks after everyone who stays there, and is always so helpful, and smiling. We love you Gregory!
Had an absolute cracker staying here - because of the friendly atmosphere you will meet loads of brilliant people, i have made some real good friends. I will definately be returning!! x

We have just got back from Malia for the second year in a row, and absolutely loved everything about it. Second year in this hotel and it was just as good as the first, good to see Tom & Gregory are still there, they are both great guys so don't listen to other comments about any of them, there not true. Manos and Frossa are great to, very welcoming and generous with the drinks, we would love to go back next year and see them all again. Best hotel in Malia.

Oh My Goodness. Yet another fab holiday in Malia staying at Drossia Palms. Staff are wonderful - we have been going for 5 years now (or is it 6?) and love everyone there. Rooms are geat - although the cleaners can be a pain when you want to stay in bed as they don't understand 'come back later' and just come in anyway and clean around you!!. Gregory the late night barman is always good value for money - but the person we look forward to seeing the most is Tom the Barman. He always gives a wonderful welcome, looks after us and is great for a pre night warm up at the bar. Please don't take any notice of some other reviews being nasty about Tom! He makes our holiday and we love him! Drossia Palms is a great hotel with the nicest staff in Malia.

I have just returned from Malia, and another wonderful stay at the Drossia Palms Hotel. I have been coming to Malia for six years, and have stayed here most of those times. The hotel is faultless: clean, great location, fabulous choice of food and drink, five minutes walk to the beach and the truly remarkable sight that is the speciality donut seller, but what makes this a remarkable holiday, are the staff.
Friendly, courteous and always at hand to help with any questions you have, they make your stay an absolute pleasure. Their priority is guest safety and comfort, and they do everything to ensure your stay with them is a great one.
Traditionally a party town, Malia can be subject to invasion by groups of very young, immature types who have a problem spelling and controlling themselves, and who clearly did not read the terms and conditions of this website before posting comments on it. Specifically referring to section 4 - unlawful use = The Web Site is not intended to be a forum for people to publish malicious, hateful or otherwise unlawful remarks. Perhaps it is because they had trouble understanding the words, or are not aware of the concept defamation of character. Never mind, here's hoping they will go to Kos next year!
I once again extend my thanks to Manos, Gregory, and Tom for making my hen week (and all the other weeks that I have had the pleasure of) a very memorable experience. It has to be said, that it is your hospitality that keeps our group coming back to the Drossia year after year, and that makes us recommend the hotel to all our friends and family.
See you all next year (and possibly in September for a sneaky pre-wedding get away!).
Kind regards,
Nikki & the Girls

the reason we are rating this holiday 9 is because everything was fab, rooms nice and clean, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were woderfull apart from the cleaners who woke u up by walking in, and the womanising bar man tom who likes to take advantage of ladies, by sweet talking them making out how hard life is then screws around with them.
DONT fall for him .
Apart from all that had a fab holiday and will defently be back, so watch out tom.......
