Just back from the Casa Vida in Santa Ponsa, we rented the apartment privately. It was fully equipped, including air conditioning (not sure all the apartments have a/c) We had a lovely view over the pool. with beatiful sunsets at night. The pool was mostly quite, and the bar was closed, however you can use the hotel facilities over the road. If you are looking for a quiet holiday this is the place for you. Our apartment was clean and modern. Santa Ponsa is a resort of two halves. The Casa Vida is in the quieter end (thank goodness) there are a few bars round about with the usual karaoke, singers etc. We found a bar called Cheers - down the road, turn left and about 50 yards up a small lane,the owners were friendly and helpful with information on good restaurants etc,
The prices throughout the resort are quite expensive for drinks, however when you come out of the apartments turn left then right there is a Spanish Bar called Sun Ray and it was half the price of everywhere else, the owner was very friendly.
The best meal we had was in "Mistys" excellent food and the chef Andrew was really nice. We only went to the other side of the resort twice to eat in the Himalaya indian restaurant, and I have to say I was a bit scared, it was like Magaluf, It is hard to believe it is the same resort. But don't let that put you of going as it is a lovely place.
