Merve Apartments

My wife and I stayed at the Merve for two weeks in July. Been back nearly two weeks and been trying to think of a downside AND, ya know what? Cant come up with one!!! Apartments clean and tidy, cleaners are in three times a week changing sheets and towels. Bar-Pool area SPOTLESS. Julia (English) and Selcuk (Turkish) really make you feel at home and will try their best to organise anything you want. Boat trip was best of all I thought because they tried to get all of the Merve people on board at the same time, that way you weren't surrounded by complete strangers. Bar snacks were very good. Anything more substantial required were 10 minutes stroll away. Harbour 15 minutes stroll, ideal for a few drinks, nice meal, and people watching whilst doing so. The staff at the Merve were great. In the words of Arnold Swarzenegger I'LL BE BACK. You arrive as guests, and leave as friends.

Started our holiday on the 30 June 2008 for 1 week, were welcomed on arrival at the apartments after a long delayed flight and was taken straight to our room to catch up on some sleep. The apartments are clean and comfortable, not much else needed. Plenty of hot water for showers etc. Julia and Selcuk (owners) are brill will help out if you need something and will arrange boat trips and trips to private beaches all door to door. All staff are absolutely wonderful, really friendly. Less than 10 minutes to bodrum centre and bars and restaurants, bus station. Selcuk arranged car hire for us for one day which was brilliant and delivered to us and picked up. Lots of freindly holiday makers here and quite a few of them have returned year after year. BBQ night at least once a week with real turkish food. The grounds of the apartments are also wonderful a lot of thought has gone into the planning and is very welcoming. Located outside the noise and bustle of Bodrum but that's not a problem everything is easily accessible. Would recommend these apartments and will be a returning holidaymaker. Fantastic holiday had.

Me and my family and friends have stayed in the Merve Apartments on numerous occasions, it is the most welcoming place i have ever stayed.
Julia and Selcuk are lovely and the staff are exceptional. The rooms are well equipped and spotlessly clean, with the cleaners visiting most days the rooms are very well kept and their is always fresh towels and clean bedding.
The apartments are situated 10 mins away from the sea front, the local shops could not be any closer.
It is a fantastic place to return to and Julia always makes you feel special and you really could'nt ask for better customer service than you get from the Merve.
It is a bonus that Julia is English, as if you have any problems questions or queries she is more than happy to help.
This for us is the perfect apartments, we are a family of 3 my daughter who is 20, my little girl who is 4 and myself who is 39, its a safe and trusting place to stay and i would recommend the Merve apartments to all people of all ages. Thank you to every one who works their for making our holidays an enjoyable time.........

Had a weeks stay at the Merve Apartments and had a really good time, its location is very quiet and the staff are friendly.
Julia and her husband are the owners and are very helpful. The rooms are very spacious and clean.
Would recommend this place if you want to relax in the day and party all night, not far from Bodrum centre.
I will be going back as we met some fab people.

This was our first year at the Merve. Had a great time, Julia was so helpful, I would recommend to anybody.
It is 5mins from centre, very friendly, Turkish night brill.
We enjoyed so much. We leave tommorrow for another week. We were picked up at the airport and returned.
Airconditioning was free. All the staff cannot do enough for you.
Go and see for yourself.

I have spent two great holidays here. The first one was with my sister and friends for her hen week in 2002.
We had booked one of those last minute deals where accommodation was arranged on arrival. We were really surprised when the coach dropped us off last at the Merve.
Despite arriving at almost 2am, the staff insisted on carrying our bags to our rooms and even opened the bar so we could have a well needed drink.
The owners Julia and Selcuk are lovely people and gave us great advice on places to go.
We had a fantastic week relaxing by the pool and being pampered at the local Turkish baths.
The second time we went in 2004, we went with our families, me with my partner and his teenage daughters and my sister with her husband and teenage son.
Despite it being a fairly small and quite complex, the children were not bored. The staff went out of the way to make sure they all had a fun time and Julia and Selcuk advised where to take them on outings. They even provided a free taxi service on many occasions.
The apartments are basic but clean and offer everything you need for a great holiday.
We enjoyed our stay so much, we are looking forward to returning this year and taking along the new additions to our family, who are toddlers now.

I have spent four holidays at the Merve Apartments and every time I have returned they have been improved. The apartments, bar and pool area are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Julia (English) and Selcuk (Turkish) who own the apartments are very friendly and helpful. Julia and Selcuk have always made us welcome and we have felt like friends rather than customers. These apartments are just the right distance from Bodrum centre to be quiet so you can get a good nights sleep ready to relax by the pool next day.
I have taken my teenage daughter each time and we have enjoyed the walk to the marina, bars and restaurants. Many restaurants will send their own taxi for you if you use their restaurant. Bodrum has much to see and do. Bodrum sprays its streets about once a fortnight so you are hardly bothered by the mosquitoes. Some remote beaches can be visited by taxi and the boat outings can be brilliant. Julia and Selcuk are always prepared to help you enjoy your holiday.
I cannot praise these facilities highly enough and I will visit again.

We have now visited this hotel twice once with a 16m old and 2nd time with a 18m old and 5 yr old we found the staff very friendly Julia who owns this restaurant is English and very friendly she will go out of her way to help you.
The accommodation is clean and simple there is a lovely bar with gorgeous barmen lol and a fab pool, the apartments are close enough to walk into the ever busy Bodrum and far enough away from all the town noise, there are also fab restaurants near by, I thoroughly recommend this hotel it is fantastic and if my son was ever to be well enough again I wouldn’t hesitate to go again.

I have stayed at the Merve apartment on three other previous occasions and have always had an enjoyable time. Lady who runs it is English and very helpful and friendly as are all the staff who work there.
They run a barbecue night once a week that is always a good night. The rooms are very clean as is the pool area and bar area, I cannot fault these apartments my family and I have always had a good time. They are within walking distance to the shops and local bars and restaurants.
I would recommend these apartments for an enjoyable holiday.
