well we just returned from pefki resort we stayed in one of the two bed apt.
we could not believe just how huge the bedrooms where we have been back and forth to greece for 15 yrs and never had rooms so big. the kitchen was big lots of equipment including sandwich toaster,toaster etc.
the rooms where cleaned 6 days a week and our bins where even emptied on the sundays.
the cleaners did a gr8 job in and out the apts the out side gardens where kept to 1st class standard lovely flowers huge vases full of colour.
good lighting at nite. we didnt use the pool even thou it looked very clean was cleaned every day as was the sunbed areas.We didnt use the restaurant either we like the beach and to wonder at nite.
we paid for the air con well worth it for a good nites sleep.
we used the super market and i had read many reviews stating it was rip off Only if you want to buy English brands come on guys if you want english products stay in england!!! there was nothing wrong with the loacl stuff there butter £1.10 euro the cobs and bread good to.
one nite we ate at Philosophia very traditional greek the views over the sea and watching the sun go down amazing the food was good abit pricey but good we paid for the atmosphere was worth it 2 course meal with bottle of wine £50 euro.
we would recommand Nostalgia as well when you order your main if you dont want the rice and peas you get with the main ask for greek salad instead i did to go with my salmon was gr8
there are 3 places next to each other that do 3 courses for £7.90 euro DO NOT be put off we ate there twice honestly never had a problem there where packed every nite which says alot .
lastly on the food front and entertainment Do not leave out Jasmines very good food and cheap veggie pizza £4euro well nice. plus they have a gr8 area for children to play so everyones happy and the staff are gr8 .
Lastly go to Lindos if you get a chance go early on the local bus when you get to St pauls square follow the donkeys up to the top. its far far far less busy and the best scenic route the views are breath taking you can stop at any time sit just take in the view make sure you are wearing good footwear thou.

We stayed in G Block, of Pefki island resort hotel. It was a surprisingly spacious 2 bed apartment with balcony overlooking pools surrounded by mountains and sea. Comfortable, relaxing and modern with easy access to the beach and shopping areas. Part of a group of hotels close together, you can wonder around all of them and use all facilities.
We usually prefer to try new places but this hotel is well worth returning to again and again.

The hotel was built in stages, and the original parts are looking a little tired. Some of the more negative views are as a result of staying in the older parts. We were fortunate in having been given an apartment in one of the newer-build parts (and even those are a few years old).
We had two good size rooms, both with en-suites. The kicthen had everything you really need (enough knives, forks etc - pretty basic stuff, but maddening when they are not provided). The rooms were spotlessly clean; no marks on the wall or furniture. Very impressed. We had a bit storm come through whilst we were there, which swept a lot of detritis into the pools. By 9am the next morning, the pools had been cleaned, and the poolside swept and hosed down. They really could not do enough.
The hotel is nicely situated, with good access to the beach and into Pefkos. There are two Tavernas offering three courses for c. 8€. We ate in the two every night. Fantasic value, and the food was delicious. The choice was more than sufficient to have something different every night; baklava, stifado, souvalaki, mousakka, octopus (yep, tried that - probably best avoid that one though - what a sucker!!).
Not much night life. Great. If I wanted that I would have gone to Faliraki, and I would urge those who want that kind of thing to go there and stay there, and not inflict such stuff on this quiet village. I wanted a peaceful, quiet, relaxing time, and that is what I got.
If I was really picky and really pushed, the one fault I can think of is the toilet door. It squeaked. Not too bad in the day, but a little annoying at night. It would not take muach to fix that. Not that it spoiled my holiday, you understand, it just made me smile to think that I had found a really petty fault.

just come back from pefki island resort which is the original resort of the ioannian hotel group and clearly needed some refurbishment. very basic accomodation so surprised by the reviews given although you can be impressed on the surface as the place as looks fantastic, but dig deeper and the flaws are there. We have stayed in Rhodes many times and never been dissapointed and are seasoned travelers so not given to unrealistic expectations. The rooms we had were ant infested in the bathroom and kitchen area so unable to prepare food. Most horrific was the cockroaches which we found on our third day 3/4 inches some of them which the staff gave us a spray to use ourelves, with a 7 year old with us this was not good and we continued to find many more over the next days. The resturant was about the best part and clearly the other resorts on site, Lindia Thesolia and Island Blue seemed newer. If you are looking for good holiday dont go here, would recommend Lindos

I have just returned from Pefki island resort , with my wife and my 2 children age 4 and 14 mnths , excellent facilities , staff are good , pool are clean and tidy , apartments are spot on also, choice of 3 pools to use ( including the island blue ) pool which is awesome ! nice resort , very freindly . will be returning again in may2011 , cant wait !!!..;)

every year off we go.and its the same every year moaning.my husband moans they call that a pool,is that the hotel, how much did we pay for this,etc etc .so this year i sat waiting but no moans.so i said come on lets have it.he said this is perfact the pools a good size and very clean.the hotel rooms are very nice clean and a good size.the staff are lovely and very helpful.the beach narrow but very nice.you have to go down 60 steps but they are not steep and quite easy to get up and down.the nightlife is only 5mins away their is a short cut so ask other guests or the staff.the town has lots of nice places to eat and we loved the wild wild west bar very friendly.all in all pefki islands a great hotel .

We went to Pefki Islands in August and it was brilliant!It was the first time we had been on holiday for 2 weeks, as we thought it would be too boring before, but our family were never bored at all. The pool was large abd joined together by a little step. The sunbeds and parasols were free and food and drink was available all day. The staff were very friendly, especially the barman, Kostas! The apartments were really clean and there was the store about 10 steps away, which closed at 11 oclock at night. In the day you could travel to Lindos and buy loads of things really cheap. There are more hotels and apartments owned by the same people, so you can go to the other pools. Town is a short walk away, with loads of reasturants. I would recomend Enigma, Nostanga and George's to eat at. The beach wasnt wide, but really long and the sea was salty and warm. I would fully recomend these Apartments.

we have recently returned from the pefki island resort in rhodes. we had an amazing stay the rooms were extremely clean and spacious, the staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. the pool bar man(kostas) was always cheery and friendly and with out fail cheared up your day and by the way has a great singing voice(ooooh lacky lacky)you will soon understand if you visit the resort.
this hotel is situated very close to the beach and the local restaurants giving easy access to everything needed to make your holiday perfect.
we would definatly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a wonderful holiday experience.

We have been to Rhodes six times now, twice to the Pefki Islands and what can i say that the over reviewers have not said, Spotless, Friendly, Child Friendly, Food Excellent, Especially Enigma and the Pizza Place where a huge pizza would fill up a family of four!!!!! want to go again but wife wants to try somewhere differant.

after reading some of the reviews i just had to put mine in .we have been to pefki island eght times now and we just can not find one thing bad to say about this resort. The staff are just the best,charlotte the rep this year was the best one we have had. Want to try some where different next year but i dont no if i can not bare to miss going back.
