" Fab holiday! "
Submitted By: carole saleKatie from the entertainment team is a great laugh-She will make you wet by the pool!
Both pools are crystal clean and are cleaned daily.
Receptionists go out of their way to help you as did our rep-Charlotte.
Our kids made lots of friends, who they are now in touch with via MSN. Everybody that you meet becomes a friend and many people that we met had returned or will be returning again.
From the apartments Pefkos is a 5-10minute stroll. Pefkos itself is quite small, but has lots of restaurants:our favs were Colleseium, Nostalgia (Try the stuffed seafood mushrooms-Yum!) Enigma is o.k but very long wait-waited up to 2-3 hours on one evening-food is good though.
If I was asked to reccommend these apartments, the answer would be yes, as we already have to friends as soon as we returned home. We are also returning to Pefki to meet up with all our friends once again.
Enjoy!! These are the best apartments and the best service you will find in Pefkos! Say hello to Jimmy, Nic, Sam, Nicki, charlotte and the gang.

" As most reviews have stated, this... "
Submitted By: Mr Kevin RainsburyOurs was at least 18ft square and the kids was about 15ft x 12ft - both had ensuite with front and rear terraces - ideal if you have kids. The bedroom furniture was excellent and the kitchen a nice size for a family of 4, however, the A/C is expensive but we survived without it.
The cleaning was top notch and could not be faulted whatsoever.
Everything is within easy walking distance and by god does it get hot!
85f first thing in the morning to 105f in the day and we had 112f on the beach. If you like snorkling you only need walk out to 4ft of water and if you drop some bread in the sea do you get surrounded by lots of fish in minutes! - a lovely site to see for the cost of a slice of bread! - sun loungers on the beach are 4€ each.
We felt totally safe and the locals are lovely and friendly people, really, I could not find any reason to rate this complex less than a 10 - I also read the reviews on this site before we booked and I'm well glad to confirm not one review is wrong.

" We are heading back to the Pefki... "
Submitted By: Mrs K WildsmithThe weather is always really good, the staff say the same, who are all fab, the only moan is the expensive air-con (but you do need it). The return rate is 80% of people who have holidayed there before, so that tells you something, it is however getting harder and harder to book, unless you do so immediately when you return home from there, due to its popularity.
There is a restaurant called Sopia which is located at the rear of the development, a short walk away, it does the best food in Pefkos and has stunning views, set above the beach, well worth checking out. Check out the Eclipse bar, its like a tardis! They set fire to the bar and if your not scared of heights you can jump into the pool at the back, be warned its high! I have been to most countries, lots of 5 star hotels but this is our favouite by far.
Enjoy.

" Pefkis island resort was really... "
Submitted By: Miss Nikki Venni was only 13 when i went and i really enjoyed it! the hotel was lovley and clean and the staff were really nice and helpful. the evenings were really peaceful with some entertainment and only 5 minutes to the nearest resturants and shops. where we went to a different one nearly every night for 2 weeks!
they say its only 60 steps from the beach, which it is, but those steps were a very good workout!!
Overall i found everything great but they could have had more for teenagers to do on site.

" 10 out of 10 for the... "
Submitted By: Mr S&L ForsythPefkos is absolutely fantastic!
Before we booked our holiday we checked this site for the reviews and I can confirm that they are completely correct. The reviews were also a very useful guide once we arrived in Pefkos.
Negatives
- Air conditioning is an extra cost ~10 euro per day
- In room Safe is an extra cost ~45 euro
- Thompson activities are 20% more expensive than exactly the same thing from tour operators in the main street.
- Doctors appointment costs 75 euro (infected mozzie bites)
- Pharmacist is extremely expensive 70 euro (anti-biotics and cream)
If you are someone who does react badly to bites then use plenty of repellent and bring your own medicine.
Positives
- New and very clean (everyday) rooms
- Helpful and cheerful staff (esp at pool bars and reception)
- Friendly atmosphere for couples and families
- Close to the beach (clean and sandy - fantastic views - plenty of sunbeds
- Close to main street
- Excellent restaurants (Terpsis, Enigma, Tsambikos, Nicolas, 25+ in total)
- Glass bottom boat trip ('sail away' 16 euro each)
- Cheap car rental (60 euro for 3 days)
- Lindos rooftop restaurants
- Lindos acropolis (donkey ride to the top then walk down the other path)
- Water park in Faliraki
- Car trips (Rhodes old town - Prasanissi - Butterfly valley - Monolithos)
- Morning walk along the beach to Flyers restaurant for an omelete
We will definately be heading back to Pefkos in the future.

" I have just returned from Pefki... "
Submitted By: Miss Jodie Ryan 21 LondonI went with my boyfriend and his family, of which his father has been coming to pefki island a for 4 years and now i know why.
The apartments are clean, they are cleaned every day and you get fresh bedding and towels daily, they are spacious and all the staff are very friendly!!!
Dimitris runs the bar in the day and makes a lovely frappe and loves to play reggae music, but if like me you hate it,ask him to put whatever music you want on and he will be quit happy to do so, and Sambikos and Nikos are there at night, when there is always some kind of entertainment going on, if thats what you like, however the greek night isnt to be missed!
If you have children there is a cocktail bar called Peacocks which has a play area so you can keep you eye on the kids and enjoy a pina colada or 2!
If you fancy a traditional greek meal, head down pefkos village to the Spitaki Taverna, its a must if like me, you love greek food! And you must have a greek salad or a gyros in The Lee Beach Cafe, with a nice cold mythos!
And at night, The Lee Beach Cafe turns into a modern medditerainian resturaunt where you sit high up on the roof top and eat whilst looking over Pefkos, absoluely stunning!
If you want a change, go to the taxi hut in pefkos village and for 7 euros get the taxi to lindos in the early evening and wonder round the tiny cobbled streets, have a drink on a roof terrace, whilst watching the sun go down and looking over at the spectacular views of the acropolis and try one of the many fine resturaunts! Most of which are up on roof tops!
The beach is where i spent most days, absolutely gorgeous! Be prepared for hot weather, fantastic food and a beautiful sandy beach!
One week is not long enough!!!
A truely fantastic holiday and i will definately be back next year!

Submitted By: Mr M CowenThe apartments had been renovated to include more wardrobe/drawer space and were gorgeous. They were in 2006 but even nicer now.
You definitely need air-con as over 100 degrees at night in July, but this isn't cheap & is additional to your holiday cost but a must.
It was so lovely to see Nikos (day & night barman) again and they remembered our names even before we spoke, good service and friendliness make a holiday, not forgetting the weather, along with Katerina & Coola on reception who are wonderfully helpful.
We hope to return again in July 08, as we love the place so much, plus friends wedding we met last year in Lindos then (friends we met who we invited to our wedding last year!)
Get it booked, you'll love the place - couples and families only I'd recommend, single holidays stay in Lindos.

Submitted By: Miss T FordThe rooms are always clean and the maids very friendly.
The staff are always very helpful and friendly and the evening bars are good fun. They have plenty of entertainment, karaoke being one of them (Johnna - top man!). The weather is always lovely and warm and you can always get a lounger by the pool.
We went back in October again for a wedding (Johnna & Helen Congrats!) but being October they had a bad storm and we only had one nice day of sun.
We are off back there again in July 2007 which we are really looking forward to. The place is very relaxing and you have all amenities locally and plenty of restaurants and bars to visit too.
Would definitely recommend Pefki Island Resort and I have heard that they have revamped the reception area.

Submitted By: Mrs T RyanFor 3 stars self catering it was outstanding and excellent value for money. Staff at hotel were absolutely superb, friendly, and helpful.
Local restaurants were top class and good value. An ideal holiday for couples, not suitable for large groups of single people.
The beach is only a few minutes’ walk away, and is quiet and unspoilt. Car hire (50 Euros for 3 days) is a must and a great way to see the island.
Lindos and Lardos two beautiful places to visit.
We are considering going back in September 2007. Thomson staff were excellent!

Submitted By: Mrs N CowenWe got married in Lindos during our stay overlooking the Acropolis with breathtaking views over the ocean but came back to Pefki Islands for our first dance round the swimming pool as we'd met such wonderful friends during our stay and the staff wanted to celebrate our evening with us - it was just a shame the pool bar shut at 2am that evening as usual.
If you have not been to Pefkos before I couldn't recommend it more - for couples, families and a quiet, relaxing holiday it is 100% perfect.
If you did want more action then 5mins taxi ride into Lindos has nightclubs and bars which are open til 7am (not that we went, didn't want to miss the sunshine next day).
Get your holiday booked and go - we're returning July 07 for our 1st wedding anniversary and hope to bump into friends we met who return year after year.
