La Divina Apartments Reviews
" Modern and clean apartments with good... "
Submitted By: Mr B M Baxter
Modern and clean apartments with good kitchen facilities. The views over the balcony were breathtaking which included a church and the hilltops. The staff at the reception are very polite and friendly and there is even one English lady who works there.

There is a Spar supermarket within a 10 minute walk from the apartments, but it is certainly not cheap. There is also a little family run restaurant nearby called Ginos bar. Gino is a very friendly man who speaks fluent English and will make you feel very welcome. All guests can use the bar and swimming pool facilities in the neighbouring hotel Panorama which are quite good. There is a nearby by beach which you can hire a sunbed for 5 Euros (£3.70) per day. Maori as some of the better beaches along the Amalfi coast which is fortunate for beach goers. The Thompson rep was reliable and always on time if you wanted to see her for booking days out. If you want to see Pompei its definitely worth paying Thompson for the excursion.

The tour guide to Pompeii was very good he made the tour interesting. After Pompeii you go around the corner for lunch which is good value for money at about 11 Euros, you get a drink (includes beer and wine) a main meal and some ice-cream afterwards. Then there's a trip up to mount Vesuvius you can pay 6 Euros to go to the top. Its also worth me mentioning if you go to Pompeii and take your passport and are under 18 between 18-25 or a pensioner you get a discount on the entrance fee. Its also worth getting the local Sita bus up to Amalfi from Maori which is only 2 Euros return. <br>

we arrived in maiori and found the la divina apartments (second time trying as it is not very well sign posted as hotel is set back from the road). we were greeted by an older gent who guided us to the parking area. the staff were extremely welcoming and informative. the apartment was very clean, fresh and modern and had everything you could need. we did have a problem with ants though so best not to leave food around. the swimming pool was very clean. they have a man clean it down every morning and put out the sun beds, which we had 2 of for our apartment. there is a small spar supermarket down the street but it is a tad expensive but hey your on holiday!! there is also a tiny shop about 50 yards from the apartment which sells a variety of things. we had to visit pompeii, versuvius and herculanium which were phenominal. we did drive ourselves but there was a thompson rep there who offered us places on her excursions. we drove to rome and parked at the metro and caught the tube into the centre of rome which was ideal for all the sights.
the bars and restaraunts were great. La pineta was our favorite place which was recommended by lucia from the apartments. it has a garden full of lemon trees and the staff were very welcoming. great pizza!!! we visited the neighbouring towns, minori, amalfi, positano which were fab. the buses were really cheap 5 euros for a 24 hour ticket which we brought from gino's bar on the main street. self drive speed boats were avaliable to hire but we found the ones in positano to be the cheapest.
over all the holiday was fantastic and the place was what you expect for a relaxing holiday. definately a place to return to.
