On arrival at 1am we were checked in very quickly. Hotel was good all round, clean apartments and very spacious.
But beware. They charge you extra for air conditioning! Around 5.50 euros a day or 27.00 a week!
Not the place to go for a quiet week though! Kids run up and down corridors all night and morning with no consideration for others! Then you have the battle of the sun beds round the pool in the mornings! (Get to the beach its quieter!) Even though the shingle beach is a bit rough on your feet!

Apartments were clean and spacious, large pool with plenty of sun beds, but couldn't get one unless you were up at the crack of dawn, even though there were signs telling you not to put your towels down before 8.30 i saw people at 7am putting them there, I prefer I lie in.
Entertainment was very good for children. All the staff were friendly and the meals were good in both restaurants.
The only thing that spoiled it for me were some of the other holiday makers, they had no consideration for others when they were coming in at 4am.

We first went 2 years ago to the Costa encantada
On arrival we were checked in fairly quickly
Our apartment had a massive balcony,
TWO bathrooms(with bath/shower, hairdryer, sink and mirror, toilet.
Both bedrooms were very spacious, with lots of clothing space
Towels changed every day, as were bed sheets, everything was always cleaned sufficiently
Never used the cooking apliances, but a welcome pack with essentials can be bought before you go away.
The view wasn’t very good, though we didn’t want a view, we actually wanted to be away from the pool, so we were situated around the back of the apartment block, which was good as we were sheltered from blistering sunlight and noise from pool and evening entertainment.
Restaurant on site was excellent, as was pool bar, both reasonably priced.
Pool was fantastic, with a shamrock shape, and a bridge leading over to the pool bar.
Entertainment was quite good, although it was quite packed in evenings, but entertainment was mostly aimed at the younger children.
The drinks at the bar were fairly priced.
The town of lloret de mar is fantastic, so many shops to choose from, and each different selling so many things, caprabo(equivalent of tesco's) is good if you feel like cooking, sells sangria like its apple juice!
The beach is a very short walk(shorter than we expected)and its amazing, however we had no time to go there as we were very busy with the shops!
Altogether, this having been my first trip to Spain since I can remember, it was absolutely amazing,
I wish we could go back, but we want to go and experience other places in spain/balerics!
Enjoy!

This was our first family holiday abroad. The hotel was absolutely spotless and clean so was the pool and restaurants but the entertainment was all the same. They played football and water polo, not for the ages of my children 7 and 3.
The night entertainment was the same night after night and if there was an act on it was at 10:00 so my youngest was always asleep I’ll say the entertainment at primrose valley was still the best. The children’s clubs were great us parents got a break if the children got in because there were only 30 allowed in at a time my daughter and son enjoyed themselves in the clubs.
The beaches are clean but there is no soft sand it is tiny pea gravel that hurts your feet, the sea also has a big drop at the front were you walk in also it can be a bit fierce (tides) but after 3 days your bored because you have done the pool beach and shops.
The hotel organised trips out to water world, marina etc but its quite expensive per day otherwise it was fine lovely weather I would go back to the hotel if in a different part off Spain but never back to Lloret de Mar.

We returned from Costa Encantada on 28/05/06. Traveling with my boyfriend we had a great time. We booked with direct holidays and had a one bedroom apartment that slept 5 people. We found this very spacious though I imagine it might feel overcrowded with 5 adults. The apartment was spotless, and had all amenities we needed. The apartments are a short walk from Lloret de Mar and in the resort of Fenal. After reading a review on this website we ate at the Orient Express 9/10.
We were self catering and struggled at times to find a nice place to eat in the evenings, there is a new Chinese opened along the main road in Fenal, come out of apartments cross the road and turn right you will come to a shoe shop and it is about 50m from it on the same side of the road, we ate here twice, 9/10 tasty and very cheap. We spent 2 days in Barcelona, 1 day with an organised tour and we traveled independently the second day. 15 Euro return on a coach that leaves you into centre. This coach runs from Lloret de Mar station and takes 1 hour. Costa Encantada are the nicest apartments I have stayed in.
We ate in the buffet restaurant once, good value. Bars in hotel are a bit pricey though we expected that, entertainment would suit families more than couples. I would def return if the price was right!

From the moment that we arrived we knew it was going to be the perfect holiday for us.
We flew to Gerona with my travel which was an enjoyable flight to be on. From the day that we arrived we were treated with the utmost respect from everybody on site.
The food was great! We have already booked for July 2006 with a bigger party.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was brilliant I recommend it to any one with kids I really enjoyed it the night life was great the only bad thing was the beach the sand is **** its big imported grains and it hurts your feet.
The entertainment is second to none parents and children will love it because it has been rated as the best Airtours entertainment in the world but its great for young children with an amazing pool and daytime activities. It is also good for adults with the two bars and two restaurants.

Having read only brilliant reviews of this holiday before, i thought it would be impossible for it to be prefect. But it was.
Hotel was spotless and was constantly being cleaned, loads of entertainment and there was always something to do. Hotel catered for groups, couples and families. Lloret itself was about a ten/fifteen minute walk away which was perfect for me a 20-year old girl in the day for shops and had brilliant nightlife and a beach. the hotel is situated in Fenals, which itself had a beach and some shops.
This was the best holiday I had been on... thanks to the Costa Encantada :-)

As soon as we arrived at the Costa Encantada resort we were greeted by the friendly English speaking staff which made it their duty that we had an excellent holiday from start to finish.
The whole family always had something to do either lounge by the massive pool or play some pool or table tennis out in the sun. At night time you had the option either to stay at the hotel and watch the entertainment which was run by the fun and friendly holiday reps, the children would have fun in the mini -disco whilst later in the night the adults would enjoy their fun time.
Or take a two minute walk to Lloret De Mar itself and have a night to remember in its many themed bars for the whole family. The staff at the Costa Encantada were always helpful and at no point did you feel as if you were on your own.

The apartments are great for families. They are very spacious and had a huge balcony. Staff are friendly enough. Guests here all almost all British, as it is not used by foreign tour operators. Pool does get busy so you will need to put your towels down early. These apartments are not in Lloret as stated in the brochures but in the suburb of Fenals. This is not a bad thing though as its only a ten minute walk. There are some good restaurants in Fenals, most notably the leman. The atlas is also good and very cheap. The hungry horse does a full English breakfast as good as anything you can get back here although it is a little bit more expensive. The waterpark in Lloret is very good but it is very hilly also, the complimentary bus to it can get very crowded. Lloret itself is a bit tacky. Think of rhyl but hot and you get the general idea. The beaches are shingle so no sand castle making for the little uns. The sea goes deep very quickly and there were loads of jellyfish in it.

Excellent holiday cannot find anything to complain about even the weather was fantastic. There is plenty to do and plenty to see. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff and reps were very helpful. It is still cheap in Spain and if you use the boats at all the beaches it is only 3 euros for adults and all children go free these take you to any Costa Brava resort u want to go to. Excellent value for money. It is also still cheap to eat out and you can buy cheap booze and food from caprabo supermarket just a minute down the road. Well worth a visit. Any one thinking of going I know you will enjoy it also has a fantastic pool. Before I went I read other people reviews and I was very surprised it was much better than I thought. Enjoy and make the most of it...............
