Apartment was clean and in quiet area, overlooking a hard surfaced football court. Good facilities in terms of bars, eating areas and outside swimming pools.

Unfortunately the atmosphere was far too English. In the welcome meeting the reps did not even say Hola. The so called entertainment was very poor and, apart from bar and catering staff, everyone working there appeared to be English. We could have been anywhere in the English speaking world. We never heard any Catalan being spoken and rarely heard Spanish. The bar staff was very pleasantly surprised when we ordered our drinks in Spanish as it was so rare. Surely basic courtesy is to learn sufficient of the local language to order food and drinks in that language. What is the point in going to a foreign country to mix only with British people and play bingo? We did not see anything of Catalan or Spanish culture at Costa Encantada and, unfortunatey Fenals and Lloret de Mar is full of restaurants run by people from England who have not even taken the trouble to learn sufficient Spanish to understand local people who were attempting to order food and drink.

The British have ruined this area of Catalunya and despite a couple of lovely coves I will not be taking my family back to either this hotel or this area again. Good venue if run with a Catalan attitude not English.

The best holiday ever the weather, food, staff, helpful reps the apartments and grounds were spotless they were cleaning all the time.

The food is a must we were half board and had a different delight every day I could go on and on but one word will sum this holiday up. Excellent.

Thank you to all that work at the Costa Encantada you made our holiday see you again.

My husband and I were at the Costa Encantada apartments in September this year. The staff were very helpful you even have an English speaking receptionist there as well.

We have been to the Costa Encantada 2 years in a row and we are planning on going back again next September. There is lots to do all day you can either laze by the pool or get involved with the daytime activities that the reps have planned for the days it can be as lively or as relaxing as you want it to be. There is a great English restaurant/cafe serving food all day which is just a 5min walk from the apartments.

The evenings are great fun if you have kids with you as the reps have a mini disco for them then it goes to adults fun time which is anything from quizzes to UK entertainers like the temptations they are fantastic or the parrot show which is great for the kids to watch. The children’s club is also great for the wee ones. I would definitely recommend the Costa Encantada to anyone with or without kids.

Apartments were an ideal base for a holiday in Lloret. Plenty of sun beds at the swimming pool and plenty going on for families.

The fennels area only had a few restaurants and I could recommend the Hungry Horse but not El Rancho (far too expensive and had to send the food back). The centre of Lloret had plenty of clubs which suited our teenagers and was busy enough, also a few good restaurants namely the Orient Express and Il Forno (very cheap Italian). The weather was quite good with only one day of rain although it did get cooler at night time.

The trip to Barcelona was good but took two hours to get there and one hour and a half coming back - cost 20 euros each for free time. All in all a good holiday and would definitely go back.

I am 14 years old and I must say it was my favourite holiday. I got back last night and I am missing the sun, pool and everything all ready! The room was very clean but next time we might need a bigger room.

The entertainment was amazing as a hypnotist was on a magician and much more. A big hello to all the reps Sam, Phil, charlotte, t, Nicole and Jen Yaz are wicked!

We definitely consider coming back next year so we can see the amazing pools and facilities. I can’t wait to go back and it was just "happy days”."!

Although the staff at the Apartments were very friendly and helpful we found our apartment not big enough even though we had an infant with us and play areas for kids were below satisfactory. Besides these comments the establishment was most enjoyable.

The resort was beautiful lots to do! Walked down to the resort next door to us "De Mar Tossa" which took 20 minutes and was gorgeous. Also done a day trip to Barcelona highly recommended if you are football fanatic, "Nou Camp".

The accommodation was spotless, the staff were welcoming. The swimming pool was excellent, the water was a little bit salty, although after a few minutes later you do get used to it. The beach was good apart from the shingles which destroyed my feet (they do hurt), water was pretty rough. The entertainment wasn't as good as expected it was mostly repeated (bingo, open the box game) as someone else said, a quiz would of been a very wise idea.

Shops – For supermarket food I would recommend the Caprabo store it was about a 10 minute walk from your apartment room and was about the best supermarket there. If it’s shops you want go into Llotte town Centre it is FULL of shops and great.

Food - The onsite buffet place was good value (12 euros per adult, 6 children) but the food in my opinion wasn't as good as I though it would of been, however the onsite restaurant next to it, I would seriously recommend it, it is awesome. Fenals also had some good restaurants I would recommend; Roxys, Lemans and Paulas Bar, these we loved.

Medieval Night – We decided that we would go to the Medieval Night trip as we went to a similar one years back and loved it. Okay so we went and was very disappointed the food served was Soup (which was nice but only a small portion was served), Chicken (which was served with a slice of potato), ice cream (very very small portion, was a joke to be honest) the drinks (here is the killer) you were served 3 different drinks orange, water, wine (dry) one thing I did notice was the water and orange bottles had broken seals (they had probably been refilled) overall I gave this night 4/10.

Port Aventura – This was my personal favourite trip, it was a theme park and we went there twice because we enjoyed it so much, I recommend this trip.

Water World – This was the water park and we did enjoy it very much, however warmer weather and water would have helped (We had a one off day – not the best weather)

Barcelona – We enjoyed it however Les Rambles had human statues which were very good and moved whenever someone gave them money one thing did ruin it a little was the amount of beggars roaming about asking for money.

In general we travelled around Costa Brava and we did see some nice parts. Apart from one or two minor things, this was a good holiday.

I loved this hotel it was amazing it was sooo good for the kids my little sister enjoyed it very much. The reps were amazing and I loved every minute of their discos (big hi 2 phil and the girls love from every one back in Belfast cartoon heroes all the way).

The pool was amazing but it was a bit cold at times but hey it did cool you down! I loved the on site entertainment. I’m 18 myself and I found no reason to go out of the hotel at night, it was way too good inside and I was afraid to miss something lol.

I met a lot of new friends and I miss them all, they were great and our hang out place was the arcade it was amazing (thanks to the wee woman who worked in the arcade she was so nice) We had fun there every night and she never had a problem with us

I can’t wait we are all going back next year.

We have just returned from Costa Encantada in Lloret de Mar, what can I say? It has put me off Spain for life. although the rooms were nice and clean and the hotel was very nice, the place and the reps were a very bit let down, yes there is a lot to do for the children unless they are over the age of ten, we took our 15yr old and everyday he must have gone through at least 20 euros, that was just in the daytime, we didn’t mind giving it to him though because it was his holiday too. You have to pay for everything, apart from the afternoon football.

Women, a word of advice, take a very thick book to read, there is absolutely nothing for you! We even suggested to the reps that there should be something if only bingo, but they were not interested. The night entertainment wasn’t much better, but better that venturing out, there were only about two bars, and not very clean to what we heard, so didn’t bother.

The beach is a good 10-15 min walk and yes its right its shingle, really hurts the bottom of the feet, and if you have small children, don’t leave them in the water on there own to play as two foot out the drops, even I couldn’t touch the bottom, if you have booked to go then good luck. You will need it.

We went to Costa Encantada last year with our 2 sons age 6 and 2 and our nephew aged 15.

The hotel was fanatastic, checkin really quick, hotel rooms were big and very clean.

Air con was available at a reasonable price.

The entertainment in the evening was great ,the kids (and parents) loved it . There was entertainment on during the day but we were too busy having fun at the fantastic pool to bother.

However outside the complex there was not much too do, and as I was 6 months pregnant the walk into Lloret was only done once (miles away).

The trips were brill, my kids especially loved the one at the water park.

We have booked to go back next year and are taking our friends!!

I am a 14 year old, and yes this hotel was great! The one bedroom apartment we had to share between 4 of us was a bit of a squeeze as there was only 1 wardrobe and no extra storage space!

The entertainment was great and even I got up to dance with my mum to the kids disco as the entertainers were up for anything and it was great just great for a laugh!

There isn’t much stuff in the area and the bar is very overpriced, as well as the on site supermarket!

The hotel was a clean place and the pool was immaculate! there was plenty for kids to do but for adults there wasn't much, an the area was mainly restaurants with only one bar unless you walked down to main Lloret which is at least 15 minute walk but if your planning on getting drunk it could be dangerous along the main road!

I don't think my family would go back, as it wasn't to my mums taste as such but I rate it a 10 in all!

Checked in quickly with 3 children, and hotel was spotless. Pool area fantastic though toilets are down some slippy stairs. The food in the restaurants was good and varied and the staff were superb.

Local beach of Fenals a bit rough on your feet as it is shingle sand. (no buckets and spades needed) Hotel reps were a letdown with bad advice and kids club was badly run with chopping and changing of times, could not get the kids in. Apart from this the actual hotel was fantastic and aimed at families more than couples and would go back. (don’t let the reps put you off)

Arrived in the middle of the night with 3 children checked in quickly, apartment was spotless, although we had to pay extra for air conditioning which I would say is a must.

Supermarket on site ridiculously expensive compared to supermarket Caprabo just across the road. Entertainment for children second to none, seriously good!! Entertainment for adults a bit dated, bingo every night you tend to lose the will to live a bit. A quiz night might have been nice. Sun beds are a bit of a bone of contention even though there are signs up everywhere telling you to reserve sun beds rows and rows of towels by 9 am. Witnessed a couple of rows over sun beds which is not what you want on holiday really.

Didn’t eat at the hotel at all as we were self catering and preferred to explore the local restaurants, recommend El rancho, The Chinese, Tandoori nights Indian restaurant. Would probably not go again as the area did not offer us as a family what we expect from a holiday. The hotel though can’t complain at all and the kids loved the kids club.
