I've only just come across this site and decided I must write a review!
I came to this hotel for the first time just after I had finished my exams. Myself and 8 of my friends came for a 2 week break and had the best holiday of our lives, we regularly talk about it now.
I loved every single second of my holiday. We booked 4 apartments on half board basis (Our parents were worried we wouldn’t eat otherwise), Our rooms were in the second block (which was a 3 second walk away from the main block). We were on the top floor and had the first 2 apartments and then 2 apartments which were 2 apartments away. I never once felt unsafe in this hotel.
Although we had one problem with our safe in our room as we couldn’t get the key out of the lock the maintance people sorted it quickly. The only downside we could think of was that as there were so many of us being issued just one key per room was a problem as in one room there was three of us.
As most of our party was male we were constantly asking for a temporary key as our main one was being left inside or the person who had it had gone somewhere else.
The pool and the hotel staff are fantastic and we soon felt included by being approached by a rep to ask us on a bar crawl on our first night there. We had stickers with our names on and met some fantastic people that night and knew where the best bars in town were.
We soon understood that most of the local people went out later and stayed out far longer than we could. we eventually got a system that work for us and I can not say more how nice all of the locals are. We soon got to no the reps of the bars along the main street and we met a fantastic group of people of whom we are still very close friends too.
If anybody asks me my favourite holiday destination it would hands down be this hotel and this place. I have been back since and loved every second of it and will return many times.

Hey!
I got back from Costa Encantada this morning! And it was the best holiday I have been on in years to be frank!
The entertainment, the food, the people; just everything about it made it great! I would seriously recommended anyone to go there!!
I’m 16.. A big kid .. And the catchy, addictive songs they play even had me up on my feet.. Its definitely a place for families. Especially if you have younger children as the reps there are awesome with parents and kids so there’s never a dull moment.
The hotel itself was spotless you couldn't fault it at all! The pool was huge. Enough room for everybody to do their own things. And enjoy their holiday.
Daytime and night time activities were a great way of making the day more enjoyable. Water polo. Football. Splash dance all of it was amazing.
On the evenings a mini disco would be put on by the reps for young children and on occasion the two mascot like people dizzie and shades would appear to keep everyone amused. Bingo and open the box was played.
And then every night there would be entertainment put on by either the reps themselves or popular entertainers from around Lloret De Mar.
The resort around the hotel its self though was excellent too!
Beaches were within walking distance. With delicious restaurants too. Waterpark trips were around the corner from the hotel too which is definitely one for all the family.
The overall experience of Lloret de mar and Costa Encantada was AMAZING!!
Rep's keep up to good work because they all rock!!
It was my first visit this year.. I’m definitely going to be going back!!
I’ve just come back from the...

I’ve just come back from the hotel and it was brilliant, they always play catchy annoying songs of which are on my itunes now cos they’re so addictive!
The reps were friendly, the spot was tidier than the actual town, and the pool was cool.
The mini disco was where I was for the whole 2 weeks, and other of the various activities they held.
Thanks for the awesome holiday!!!!

Just Back from the Costa Encantada. Just to make it clear the hotel rating is 9/10 but the resort is 1/10, that’s why I have gave an overall mark of 5/10, please read below some of my views on the hotel & the resort.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, if you have got a family. There is lots to do for the kids, entertainment during the day & night. The rooms are basic, but they are quite a decent size, so that was definitely a plus.
The hotel is kept immaculate day & night. The prices in the complex of the hotel are very expensive, I got charged just over £5.00 for a jack Daniels and coke and 80p for a chocolate bar, so get yourself down to the supermarket which is only 150 meters away.
I just need to say a little about the restaurants in Lloret de mar, I am not a fussy eater by all means, but I only found one good restaurant in the 2 weeks I stayed there, it was called oriental express, its sits at the sea front, at the main Lloret de mar beach, seriously the food there is amazing, its sells traditional British food, which is great.
Please avoid a restaurant called AMERICA it’s not far from the hotel, it looks really nice from the outside, that’s what tempted us in. We were disappointed.
Overall my rating for the hotel itself is 9/10 but the resort is 1/10, if you intend in staying in the complex, and going to the water parks and visiting Barcelona and port adventura, then this is the holiday for you.
But if you intend in going out an exploring Lloret de Mar every other day, then please avoid this resort, its full of bad restaurants, poor customer service and lots of people trying to pressurise you into going into clubs and pubs, these people are everywhere.
Hi, I'm 12 years old and I've...

Hi, I'm 12 years old and I've just got back from costa encantada aparthotel. I really, really enjoyed this holiday because there is lots to do for children and adults. When we were by the pool sunbathing for the day I would play kids football at 11:30 and teenage football at 2:00 and they also had adults football at 3:00.
During the day they played games like water golf for children and water polo for kids and adults but separately. There was a pool side bar which served alcohol, soft drinks, slushes, ice lollies/cream, and really nice food.
In the pool they also had a splash dance were anyone could go in the pool and dance along with reps to the music. There was another daytime game as well called the arcade challenge. I only joined in one of the arcade challenges and it was the dance mat challenge.
The pool is really nice. It is big and it has 3 sections that are all joined together. There is 2 bridges going over the pool and in the middle of the pool there is a fountain which is nice. There is also a small baby pool for toddlers.
In the night there was a mini disco for the kids at the disco bar and the holiday reps were doing dances and games with the children. The reps were all very kind and fun to play with.
There lots day trips which you could book at the hotel. For example we went to Barcelona for the day and while we were there we had 2 hours in the Nou Camp (Barcelona stadium) and approx. 2 hours in the Barcelona town.
We also had a tour on the bus up the mountain of Montjuic. The other day trip that we went on was to Water world. We had a free bus from just outside the hotel to the water park and it was about a 5 minute drive.
The water park was really fun and there was slides there for daredevils and young children of all ages. There were pools with small slides in them and there were at least 4 Jacuzzi’s.
Our room that we stayed in was really nice and 4 of us stayed in there. There was also room for 3 more people to sleep in the living room. We had 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet and sink and we had another bathroom with just a toilet and a sink.
We also had a small kitchen with a fridge, freezer, cupboards, cutlery and crockery and we had a living room in our apartment with 2 big sofa's with a pull out bed and a set of table and chairs.
We had quite a big balcony as well although we didn't really have a good view from room number 319 and 318 (hich we stayed in because we had 2 rooms between the 8 of us).
The hotel is near the town which has lots of shops and loads of people who do hair braiding and henna tattoos. I had half of my hair braided for 25 euros. There were 2 nice beaches near us with ice cream stalls on the promenade. There is really nice scenery and lots of pubs and bars.
I would definitely do back to Costa Encantada because it was a really fun, enjoyable holiday and the weather was great. We went in the middle of July and it was approx. 30 degrees at midday and 25 degrees in the evening.
Costa Encantada is GREAT!

First time abroad with children, 9, 17, 14. Absolutely thrilled with the place. Loads to do. Hotel was brilliant, clean, food in abundance.
Poolside great, indoor pool great. The whole of the hotel was faultless. What you see in the brochure was exact.
Flights on time flew back before original time. Loads to see and do in Lloret and surrounding towns. Excursions were a bit pricey. Going back next October can’t wait! Reps were really nice.

My husband & I are not long back from a fantastic holiday in May.
We have been to Lloret once before in 2004 & on both occasions have stayed at what we consider to be the best apartments going. The Costa Encantada.
The whole complex is spotless, there are 3 bars to choose from that's not including the pool bar which serves some very tasty snacks.
Our favourite bar has to be Pub Nautilis & has a friendly Norris Cole (Corrie) lookalike serving behind the bar, & as for the rest of the staff they are all so friendly & helpful to.
So what it doesn’t have bingo, that's boring anyway, I’d like to think my holiday was a bit more interesting than that.
We loved our holiday so much we're going back again in Sept, infact we'll probably be back next year to, can't wait.

Just come back from Costa Encantada. This was my second visit as I had been in 2006, which should give you an idea of my impression of the place. I think its great being a young 42 year old!
The place is spotlessly clean. The food is good/ok, buffet style but plenty of it. If you are going for two weeks yes it may get repetitive, just expect this, and plan to go and eat elsewhere 2/3 times for evening meals in Fenals.
I would definitely recommend the Chinese Restaurant (great!), Hungry Horse, and even the Indian Restaurant. If you are self-catering and going to the buffet restaurant it costs 12 Euros and 6 Euros for kids so for 2 adults and 2 kids would be 36 Euros (£26).
As I went half board in early season the food price worked out quite cheap per meal over the whole price of the holiday I’m guessing approx(3-4 Euros) so my perception of the quality of the food would be different to people paying ‘pay as you go’ at the full rate.
The quality of the entertainment depends on how old you are to be honest. I went with other members of my family this year which included an 11 year old niece and an 8 year old nephew. They loved the kiddie’s entertainment, mini disco etc and constantly got us up dancing.
Yes there is Bingo and Open the Box (pointless from an entertainment point of view in my opinion!). They did have Acts on but to be honest I can’t comment on many of these as I went to town most nights. It’s a great hotel for families, but also as a base for couples (me and my misses).
There is a large pool area, and plenty of sunbeds and plenty of room for them. Yes there are those who go and put there towels on the beds early to be near the pool, but it personally didn’t bother me as there were always spare sunbeds around and the additional 3 second walk to the pool I turned into a new exercise regime. Please also don’t feel that you have to sunbathe in rows. We are not Germans you know! I often pulled the sunbeds out of the rows to face them into the sun direction, as there was plenty of room.
Now please be aware that the water in the pool can be wet and shock horror can be cold (please read other reviews). This depends on the time of year, last year I went in May, and the pool was much cooler than this year in June. Please note that there is a heated pool open in May and I think October. The pool is a good size.
The hotel does charge for air conditioning but we have never used it in May, or June. If needed I would check first the price of the fans in the Cabrabo supermarket next door which I think would work out cheaper but putting it in the bin after a fortnight might be difficult?
The drinks are more expensive in the hotel bar than the local ‘bodega’ bars just across the road. El Cid across the road for instance was about half the price for a pint of lager and Bacardi and coke (approx 5 Euros to the hotels 9 Euros). Please note that some of the other English type bars will charge you the higher prices like tartans, hungry horse.
Yes the supermarket on site is more expensive than the supermarket just 2 mins away, but don’t make the mistake I made by saving half a pence on a 5 litre bottle of water and having to carry it further. Get water from the onsite supermarket. I think it only cost about 0.90 cents (60 pence for 5 litres).
It is true that the beaches are made of small pebbles and they hurt the feet. After two weeks I got used to it, but there where kids playing on the beach, it’s just something you have to get used to. The sea also does get deep quickly so is unsuitable for the younger ones, however there are areas on the beach at the ‘ends’ which have more shallow areas.
It’s in a good location. It is about 200 metres set back from a main road in Fenals. There is no disco noise to worry about except from the hotels own ‘entertainment’ which stops around Midnight although the bars stay open till 3.00am I think. Lloret itself is a 20 minute walk away, or a short bus ride away.
Please don’t be put off by those reviewers who are down marking Costa Encantada because of either poor flight times, pebble beach’s, or the fact that they speak English, This is not the hotels fault!
I think it’s a great hotel, clean, plenty of sunbathing room, sunbeds, big pool, large entertainment team for the kids, good staff, good food, but it doesn’t pretend to be, nor is 5 star.

Just back from an amazing fortnight’s holiday at the Costa Encantada Aparthotel.
Hotel was completely spotless. Entertainment reps were great with kids and adults who act like kids. Mike and Spike dealt with the incident at Glasgow Airport great kept us informed of what was happening and when we would be getting back home, did not want to go back home anyway.
Would definitely go back to this resort loved it from start to finish. Keep up the good work to all reps.

Been to the Costa Encantada for the 2nd year running however this time it wasn’t as good, started off to a bad start as a nervous passenger held our plane up for 3 hours so we arrived in Spain at 4.30 in the afternoon instead of 12.30 dinner time. Then spent one and a half hours dropping people off at other hotels.
The hotel it self as ever was spotlessly clean and tidy and you could never fault it for that.
We went half board again and this time the food wasn’t as good, sometimes it was under cooked and we had the same puddings for about 3 nights running.
The reps are all very nice and friendly as are the hotel staff.
There is always plenty for the kids to do in the complex but not much for adults really, the weather was red hot all week which made it better at least we could sit by the pool for a while.
The beaches are shingled all 3 of them Llorett, Fenals, and Tossa de mar.
Please take a trip on a catamaran to Tossa, its beautiful.
Went to Barcelona for a day trip it’s a nice place but not what I expected it to be however it has great shops and monuments.
All in all we had a good time but feel like the complex has gone down a bit and we will be trying somewhere different next year.
The Hotel itself was great, very...

The Hotel itself was great, very friendly staff, although the attached shop was expensive.
The weather was an average of 26 degs, and the outside pool. Which looks and is fantastic, but always cold. However there is a lovely inside pool which is warmer. The food at the poolside bar was luke warm at best, so did not eat there again.
Entertainment for the children is great with a mini disco, followed by bingo and the main event starting approx 10pm.
We have just come back and this hotel is currently a sun centre, which is perfect for families, although I have read that this hotel will not be a sun centre in 2008, which is a shame.
The Reps were all great, very helpful, and easy going. The beach is not that far away, but forget making sandcastles, if that is your thing, then close another destination, because both beaches in Lloret de mar and Blanes are full of tiny stones... approx 5mm in Dia.
Also, the sea is beautiful, but the beach drops down quite sharply just before entering the water. 50 Euros to keep the room on from 10 am to 6 pm, and your pickup if you are on the 02:05 back to Birmingham is approx 23:15, so you still have 5 hrs with your cases, although there are lockers and storage areas for them.
All in all, a GREAT holiday, the only reason I would not go back to Lloret is because of the beaches, but the hotel was Fantastic.
Well I went to the encantada...

Well I went to the encantada with my two kids whom where 9 and 6 my mum also came with me, we spent two wks here and I can honestly say it was great fun the kids really enjoyed there time here. The rooms were big enough and spotless. Great holiday over all apart from the beach. We stayed at our pool most of the time so there was no need to travel to the beach. I’m returning in august this yr myself and my kids so looking forward to another great holiday.

Brilliant holiday, kids had a fantastic time. Apartment we had was for up to 5 people, we had 4 perfect for size and were amazingly spotless.
We had a pool view and gives you a good view of the whole complex which is quite large. We ate out most nights but tried the meal in the hotel one night with the kids!wasted our money on kids as ours didn’t like it at all. Entertainment was good but they finish up at about 11.45 and put music on when the place is filled to capacity, think they can pay reps a wee bit more to stay a little later.
Barcelona trip is a must Camp Nou fantastic, had to queue a lot at water park for long periods, marine land is a good day out as it also has a water park and isn’t as busy as main water park! Fenals has a nice beach that isn’t over crowded and there are a couple of restaurants there. We found a place on the way into Lloret which was great for food and the Spanish couple who run it speak excellent English! All the reps go for their breakfast there!
Dani's bar very good value for money and the kids always get a free ice lolly as they leave!

The staff are there if you need them. The room was clean, pool spotless. Watch out for the flies.
The children loved entertainers they were brill. The hills and stairs keep you fit as there is quite a few. Sons enjoyed football not much else for them to do as they are 15 and 18, lots for the little ones. A good place to eat Las Americanos down the road cheap and good for kids food.
Holiday overall not to bad, the late check out was 50 euros. I would advise you not to go on a late flight there is too much waiting around and with kids they get fed up.

We travelled to the Costa Encantada with direct holidays from Glasgow. The hotel was brilliant. There was four adults 2 children and a baby in our party and we all enjoyed ourselves.
We had two, one bedroom apartments which were very spacious. Maid service was every day with towels changed daily and linen twice.
The food was great, always something for every one. Even the fussy 13 year old was happy. The entertainment in the hotel is geared to the children and the reps do a great job.
The pool area is fantastic, plenty of space and loungers and a great size pool for everyone to enjoy.
The staff were always warm and friendly, and even the two small hiccups we had were dealt with promptly and efficiently. No cot in room on arrival and electricity fusing in room.
The one down side to this hotel is the only flight that goes to this hotel from Glasgow is a night flight! Meaning you do not arrive in the hotel until 5AM and you do not leave until 3AM. Travelling with a baby and two children this is too difficult, and far too stressful. This is the only thing that has stopped us going back next year!!
Also bearing in mind the amount of night flights that leave the hotel, a comfortable lounge would have been appreciated!
So apart from the flight we can not fault the hotel.
