Just arrived home from holiday at this hotel and had a wonderful time. The accomodation was spotless, very comfortable, and the food first class.
They have an adults only part in the restaurant which is overlooking the sea, and the staff are very helpful.
Will definately return, and would recommend to anyone.
Fantastic time.

me my wife my son and daughter in law have just returned from a two week holiday at the sur menorca my wife and i are 60 years of age my son is 41 daughter in law 35.
We read a lot of reviews before we whent some good some bad. We had a very enjoyable holday rooms were always clean staff very good reasonable variety of food. Sunbeds around the pool was always a problem as people were going down at sometimes 7oclock in the morning this is not a moan but a fact.
Lots of activities for children and some good entertainment for the adults. We traveled around the island a lot sometimes by car and we also used the public transport which was excellent. There is a free bus from the hotel to Punta Prima and also a road train which takes you to many other beaches this was 7euros return.
our favorite beach localy was playa binibequer lovely little cove had toilet and a place you can get drinks and food. just a word about sunbeds and umbrellas on the beaches. 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella was costing 15euros so we bought an umbrella which was 7euros and used it all the holiday.
SO just to sum up if you are looking for a holiday with lots of night life then this hotel is not for you.
but if you want a family holiday then yes this is for you. just a little word about our rep becky loveley girl very helpfull but not pushy could not wish for a better rep.
i hope this helpfull so i wold recomend this Hotel

very disapointing holiday. Staff were not nice and knew no english. Rooms were clean and cleaners cleaned everyday. I would not advise any irish tourist to go there as it is mainly english there. Not a homily atmosphere and a very un-enjoyable holiday that i did not enjoy one bit. Not enough sunbeds and usually taken everyday by 8am! food was very sicknen and was the same everyday! Ice creams were not free on all inclusive and drink was very cheap and not nice. I would not advise any one to go here. Provably irish. couldn't wait to get home!

Accomodation; Good, cleaners worked very hard, cleaned every day. Some rooms need upgrading though.
Facilities; Ok, but seem a little under utilized and forgotten by entertainment staff, however in their defense the football became a huge focus.
Food/Bar; Excellent to begin with, then a little predictable. Waiters work very hard. Deserts not as good as British ones. Bar staff work hard but not very cheerful.
Entertainment; Ok for the 'select' group who were given nick names and made mini celebrities for their stay. Unfortunately others became reticent to join in. On more than one night the evening entertainment was focused around one mini celebrity, it was painful. Temptations, Jacksons and The Supremes were excellent.
Kids Club; There should be seperate age segregated groups, some of the younger children were hurt, albeit accidently, by the older ones.
Pool; Agree with others, not enough sun beds. Pool always being maintained and kept clean. Thought the Life Guard did an excellent job, very professional.
British; 3 people were escourted from the hotel in 8 days, all British! Great!
Spanish; We could learn allot from the Spanish, they work hard and take no nonsense.

We have been at this hotel in 2007 and 2008 and as I wanted to give my family a garanteed holiday that we would enjoy I thought we would return to the Sur Menorca as we had 2 great years and my 2 sons who are now 10 and 11 had lots to do. It still has a lot of the same staff who are very nice and work very hard but unfortunatelly they have made a lot of cuts ( not the price of the holiday as it was over 3500 pounds.)Firstly they are no kids club ,before they had 4 people and they now only have 2 they have 1 kids game at 11.00 and one about 3.00, before they started at 10 and had a club which would take the kids away for a couple of hours and so 4 things a day, now it is only 2 and the afternoon one for the adults is always football at 3.00 in about 30 degrees of heat. The food has gone downhill as before you had 2 rows to chose from and 2 seperate places, now they have cut it to 1 and split it with the same choice at both sides. If the kids want snacks you have to pay 2 euros for ice cream and 1 euro for water, the snacks are in the canteen only and you can usualy chose between toasties or hotdogs, I went in dead on 10.30 and though there was food there they would not serve me as I was too late .
overaul i am very disapointed and I feel that a lot of the people here were last miute bargains rather than the usual families.

Needs more sun beds

A lovely family hotel, good food, great staff and rooms spotless, cleaned every day but spoilt by the lack of sun beds around the pool - quite a remote location so not like you can hit the beach or anything - and by 8.00 all sun beds bagged with a towel. A row over the beds while we were there meant that the beds started to get chained up by the seriously stroppy pool man (rest of staff were great)and that meant a queue forming. The whole thing was stupid but you had no choice unless you wanted to spend the day sat in the bar! Spoilt the holiday really.
So if you aren't bothered about a sun bed by the pool then a great hotel.

WOW what a great hotel. We are in our 60s but young at heart. The food was a bit overcooked at times but there is plenty of it. The rooms are basic but clean and tidy attended by exellent happy staff. The pool is cleaned every-day and although the water is cold it is great for cooling you down after laying in the sun getting hot. Everyone seems to join in and the hotel has a great feel to it. There is a free bus to Punta Prima about every 20 min and a service bus to Mahon the capital every hour, which takes you right into the bus station in Mahon for 1.45E.[Termines] Market days Tue and Sat in Mahon. Not to be missed, as is the free entry into the Gin Factory on the habour, where you can just walk in and try the different flavoured gins, and if you do not like anything just walk out like everyone else does, or if you like a certain gin then you can purchase a bottle there and then. In a nutshell, it is a great hotel, great staff and great fun to be there. Been twice and going again.

this was the first time we had visited Menorca and we were told by thomsons that this hotel was quiet and for couples - how wrong when we walked through the doors we were greeted by hundreds of kids - could not even get near the restaurant - once we had got over the shock of all the kids who we thought would be back at school when we arrived we did have a fairly reasonable time. The same things every day, same songs every night, children orientated. If you want a quiet holiday this hotel is not for you. We had some very disturbed nights children running down the corridors shouting after midnight even a fight in the corridor - the staff were on the whole friendly although the restaurant staff were extremely rude and aggitated. Although Menorca is a beautiful island we will go back again but will not visit this hotel again.

I arrived home last week with my partner after a weeks holiday and enjoyed the break. Menorca is a lovely place to visit. We had extremely good weather considering the reports before we went said rain, winds and storms. We had 2 storms, the night we arrived and the day we left. Neither of them interferred with our holiday. (apart from the power cut on the first night, while eating dinner!) Everyday was lovely sun and no rain!
The beach is 15 mins walk away although there is a courtesy bus that runs back and forward every 10 mins or so. Its a great sandy beach, with a few bars and restaurants and gift shops. It even has an English bar with sky tv.....with sky sports!!!
A bus ride takes you to the city Mahon, takes around 30minutes to get there. It stops right outside the hotel. The bus get very busy and the driver packs you in like sardines!! but you are first pick up. The harbour is a lovely place to walk around and theres plenty of shops too.
Our room was very basic, but nice. We had a side view of the sea. We had a tv and air con. No hair dryer!
This was a all inclusive hotel but wasnt like any ive stayed at before. Meals were at set times at 8-930 breakfast 1230-2pm Lunch and 1830-2000 Dinner. Snacks only between 10-1030am and 1500-1530. half hour each!!!Which means if you were hungry in between you have to go and buy snacks which isnt the reason you go all in. Also Drinks were only served from 11am til 11pm even tea and coffee. One bar all day for the whole hotel until 9pm ish when another one opened.
The food was great, had a good variety of hot meals and salads. All buffet style.
A nice area to the side of the restaurant with adults only. Which was great for us as it was very busy with familys.
Typical brits with sunbeds. Most people got up very early to put towels on sunbeds.
Didnt get chance to go in the pool. The pool was very busy the whole time with kids. The area was very noisy. Theres an area in front of the hotel which was lovely. Majority of the 'older'people tended to sunbath there, along with the couples. Who were looking for a peaceful day, without all the kids.
Before we travelled to Menorca, we were advised by Thomson this hotel was IDEAL for couples looking for a quiet holiday. You will certainly not get a QUIET holiday if thats what your looking for in this hotel. The hotel is set in a quiet location, which was lovely for nice walks and peace and quiet.
Entertainment again was child orientated. After a while gets a bit tedious and abit like BUTLINS.
I would NOT stay at this hotel again. My only reason being because of the kids. I took my holiday late in september hoping they were all back at school!!! The hotel itself is a nice hotel. very clean etc.
This hotel is ideal if you have a family. Just not for couples as it is stated in brouchures and web pages.
On the plus side, we both came home with lovely tans!!!

We were a party of 6 adults.Hotel booked late Sept as we thought all if not most of the Children were back at school in few of the new Education regulations!!
Wrong!!
Apart from this The Hotel staff are great and the food was good,(especially lunch times) but note parties of 6 can be accomadated in the quiet adult only part of the restaurant so you have to suffer crazy 5 -10 yr olds running wild, under your feet.
But you can find qiuet areas away from the pool ie the lawns in front of hotel.

The evening entertainment was good and the Animation team work hard.
The area around the Hotel is very quiet and very pretty, loved the Biniancolla cove and village only 5 mins walk from hotel.a lovely contrast.
One of our party did have her purse stolen from around the pool and the cash stolen then the purse dumped in the street outside the hotel, so it left a sick feeling in your stomach that we had a theif in the hotel.
The staff anf tour rep did help sort out the paperwork and police report.

Warm welcome.hotel and rooms clean.situated in quiet resort, but has free bus,and only 15min walk, (if that)to Punta Prima.Impressed with choice of menu, enjoyed every thing i tried, food served well,by very hard working staff.Amination team work hard to keep everyone entertained, especially families.weather was superb, definetly need a parasol.Down side to hol's.....not enough sun bed's (september), not enough parasoles, same peep's putting towel's on sun bed's by day, then moving them to entertainment seating area at night, while going in for evening meal!!!!! Bus to Mahon, pulls up outside the hotel, cheap and reliable. Would definetly return.

  • Advice: Lovely sandy beach,only a few bar's,restaurant's,couple of supermarket's,pharmacy,1 brit bar.
  • Activities: Enjoyed Mahon harbour, boat trip.
