Grupotel Aldea Apartments

This holiday was practically faultless. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool area was never too crowded and there were always sun loungers available. The beach is just over the hedge alongside the apartments where you can hire pedalos etc. The loungers on the beach have to be hired so this can work out expensive.
The marina is 5 minutes away and has numerous restaurants and bars so we ate somewhere different each night which was lovely. There are also gift shops and market stalls in the evening.
There are supermarkets nearby with all the essentials in and these were all reasonably priced.
There is entertainment at the hotel but the bar wasn’t very welcoming so we used to spend more time at the marina in the evenings. The snacks available at the hotel were all very good-we never ate in the restaurant so I cannot comment on this.
There is no kettle or toaster in the apartments and fans had to be hired if you wanted them.
The whole area seemed very safe and I would recommend to anybody especially families with younger children. Our apartment was right opposite the stage which we worried might be a problem but it wasn't as most of the entertainment was finished by 11.
We are going back this year and are really looking forward to it.

There are lots of positives to this accommodation/ resort. It is child friendly, close to the beach and Marina, where there are plenty of restaurants and bars, has a great pool with adequate sun loungers and on the whole has a tranquil surrounding.
Travelling with my wife and 3 children, it was a great base (some where to sleep and wash) and meet with friends who where staying across the beach. Cala n Bosch is a safe resort so our teenage daughter could go of with their children.
The negatives, reception staff are not cooperative; I would go as far as to say rude.
On arrival, we were informed that we could hire a fan for the room, more like 3 fans at an exorbitant cost, although we would have to wait for the morning, the worst nights sleep we have ever had, the apartment was sweltering without these fans.
The maid service wanted us all out of the room by 8.30, try telling that to a teenage girl! So we had to request at reception that they came back later, this took 5 days to arrange
The breakfast was very poor, little choice, hard to get a table unless you were up as the sun rose.
As for the comment that children’s entertainment was for Germans, I can not agree, the guys looking after the kids were Dutch, their command of the English language was excellent. I know that they worked their socks of for the kids, even if my youngest did not want to go along with them
If they are really going to put Air-con in, then I would consider going back provided that they do not want to install a meter to charge you as you go, as their fan hire was unreasonable but essential.
