" Lovely hotel, very clean and they... "
Submitted By: Mrs I Smith
Lovely hotel, very clean and they have thought of everything. When we arrived we were given a room on the right of the hotel (if you are facing the front door). We overlooked a dog kennel of about 10 large dogs and at night they barked and barked about every 20 minutes. We had no sleep what so ever, and I am not exaggerating!!! I even had ear plugs in but that didn't help. At 8am I phoned reception to ask to be moved and they moved us immediately! Which suggests to me that this is an ongoing problem. On the other side of the hotel we had a lovely peaceful holiday. We heard nothing at night it was lovely.
The food was average, the staff spoke English, the entertainment was not advertised well though. The pool was lovely to look at but you had a choice of either a paddling depth pool for tiny kids or a 1.45m pool for about an 11 year old to stand up in. Nothing in between so I had to buy arm bands for my 10 year old who isn't a brilliant swimmer and my 8 year old who is even worse just so that we didn't have to hold onto them the whole time.
Having said that we had a lovely stay. The hotel is right on the beach and the facilities are immaculate. We visited Gibraltar and Granada (all excursions are the same price who ever you book with... we tried loads of operators), so we booked through the hotel
The maid service was everyday. Two english channels in our room which showed quite good programmes actually. 12 euros for the safe. Very friendly staff and hotel guests, mainly spanish. Ample sun beds with free mattresses as well as some parasols (they could have had more).
The village of Nerje (nerka) is about 5 mins taxi away (6euros) and is worth visiting. The ice cream parlours are to die for. Have a lovely stay in this wonderful hotel but ask for a room on the left of the building away from the dog kennel.

" The Marinas de Nerja is a lovely... "

The Marinas de Nerja is a lovely hotel carefully designed so every room has a view of the pool and just beyond that the beach and sea. It is situated just on the outskirts of Nerja and is a short walk or bus ride into the town centre. You can walk along from the front of the hotel and this will take you by the popular Donkey and Animal Sanctuary, a charity that works extremely hard to take care of any stray, dumped, or injured animals in Nerja.
Visitors are always very welcome to help out or just take a look around and meet the British couple who run the place. Walk along the back on the hotel and you can walk down the beach all the way to the town and its many bars and restaurants.
The hotel itself is really nice....clean and comfortable rooms, with the bed in a separate room. A small kitchen area with sink, hob, microwave and all the utensils you need. The restaurant is reasonably priced, you pay the set price for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner then help yourself to as much as you want from the Buffet style spread with hot breakfasts cooked to request.
There is a good sized swimming pool outside in the centre of the complex with a small bad on an island serving cold drinks and ice-creams. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, booking taxis or giving advice on the best places to eat (although I would recommend Fusion on the most popular Burriana Beach.
Overall we had a lovely holiday here, can't fault the place, and would definitely love to go back soon.

" We booked this hotel via the Internet... "
Submitted By: Mrs Anne Renshaw
We booked this hotel via the Internet only 10 days before our departure. It was an excellent bargain through Travel Republic and the hotel far exceeded our expectations. The accommodation was superb, with one large room containing a well equipped kitchenette, a dining table and chairs, and a comfortable bed settee plus coffee table, side table and TV with Sky News.
The room had lovely patio doors, leading onto a large balcony, with table and chairs. Next to the main room was another room, linked by sliding doors, containing very comfortable twin beds, three built-in wardrobes and bedside tables. Leading from the bedroom was a superb, well equipped bathroom.
We stayed at the hotel on a half board basis - the food was excellent (a good choice of cooked and cold food, all freshly prepared) and all the staff we met were very helpful. The public areas - foyer, bar/lounge - were most attractive and always immaculate. Our one, very minor complaint, was that entrance to the Spa, for guests on half board, B & B or self-catering, was expensive and therefore not used very much.
Would we stay at this hotel again? You bet we would. We have been going to Nerja each year for the past six years, normally renting an apartment, but in future we shall be staying at the Marinas de Nerja.

" This newly refurbished Apart-Hotel... "

This newly refurbished Apart-Hotel gives exceptional rooms with lounge, Kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom, balcony with sea view. Hotel clean and spacious, food excellent at all meals although some may not like buffet style meals although all hot food is cooked fresh as required.

All staff friendly and speak good English. Entertainment in the evening was mostly repetitive with the same duo playing the same music for five nights with an alternative entertainer on the sixth.
<br>
hotel within yards of beach and within an easy 15-minute walk into Nerja, which is a clean small town with shops, market and supermarkets. There is also a bus service between hotel and Nerja, which is cheap and convenient.

Altogether a nice holiday and worth a revisit in the future.

The staff were always very kind and helpful. The buffet was very nice and if you have pickey children then this is the ideal way to dine as there is something for everyone.the only point to raise that my husband did not like is that alot of the food had garlic in.
the evening entertainment was very good and the atmosphere very relaxed.
As a family we would return to this hotel.
