Best Mojacar Hotel Reviews
" I have just come back from a weeks... "
Submitted By: Ms SA Francis
I have just come back from a weeks stay at the Best Hotel Mojacar and feel that I must defend it. After reading some terrible reviews the week before I went I was dreading it, the picture that had built up in my mind was of a remote hotel, in the middle of nowhere with no beach.
Instead of looking forward to it I began to regret my booking. I stayed there with my Partner and our 8 year old son half board.
The room had 2 king-size double beds, the shower/bathroom facilities were excellent, all toiletries were provided and towels and bed linen changed daily.
We were facing the sea above the pool(s) which had plenty of sun loungers and shade if you needed it. The hotel was beautiful and clean and had everything in it including hairdressers and beauty salon.
Breakfast was amazing so much to eat and as much as you could possibly eat. The only bad point was the hot water was not boiled enough to get a decent cup of tea in the mornings, so take a travel kettle if you like tea! The buffet was fresh every morning and there was a chef cooking fry ups and pancakes to order, it was excellent there was something for everyone.
The bus stop was just outside the hotel and we caught the bus daily into Mojacar and visited many lovely bars and restaurants most nights all bar one night where we stayed at the hotel for our evening meal, it was superb, again lots of choice and lots to eat. The beach is over the road from the hotel and also there is a children’s park area. The beach was very clean and attended to daily. The sea was a bit rough and did get deep very quickly and children would need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
From the hotel we walked to Gurrucha which took about 40 minutes on the beach for most of the way and had Paella at one of the Restaurants along the front, it’s the best in Spain. Mojocar town takes about 15 minutes to get to on the bus but nearly 1/2 an hour back as the bus does a circular around the tiny village of Mojacar Pueblo, but it’s such a pretty village it was a joy to sit and be driven around for the week.
This holiday is neither Torremolinos nor Benidorm, it’s not a British holiday in Spain, it’s a Spanish holiday, mixing with the Spanish who are very nice people and if you smile and say hello, they reciprocate.
Its a relaxing holiday not for teenagers or people who don't enjoy walking. We ate at some very good restaurants in the order of how good we rated them Bellavista, Gaviota, Irish Rover, Hotel Mojacar, Isabella all in all 9/10 holiday.

" Have stayed at a couple of hotels... "

Have stayed at a couple of hotels along the Mojacar Playa area and this hotel was an excellent choice.
The hotel is spotless, rooms clean and staff very friendly even though they are Spanish speaking it is quite easy to be understood.
The food is excellent with freshly grilled fish or meat cooked whilst you wait. The buffet food is first class.
No problems finding a sun lounger at any time of the day.
A perfect hotel for a quite relaxing holiday, this is not suitable for anyone wanting a lively loud holiday.
I would have no hesitation in booking another stay at this hotel, perfect for a relaxing and unwinding holiday. Hope it always stays this way!

" Stayed at this hotel for the last... "

Stayed at this hotel for the last week of August with my husband and 3 children and had an absolutely fantastic holiday!
All the staff were friendly and helpful, most of them tried to speak English and in return we tried out our Spanish on them. The rooms were very clean and you couldn't fault the food at all.
If you are looking for a typical British holiday abroad then this hotel is not for you.
If you like to mix with the foreign people and culture then you couldn't stay at a better hotel.
There are buses that run every 20 mins from outside the hotel which take you into Mojacar this costs 1 Euro per person wherever you wish to go on the route. There is also another bus that takes you to the water park for 1 Euro per person, very good value.
We would return to this hotel like a shot and our children are pestering us to book again for next year!

Stayed at the best Mojacar hotel second week in August with my partner and 6 year old daughter. A holiday from hell . Hotel staff very ignorant just ignore you full of Spanish with all the entertainment in Spanish.
This hotel does not cater for kids have a kids club but again Spanish orientated. Located near nothing 20 mins on bus near any of the restaurants or pubs. Buses do not arrive as stated on time table you could wait up to hour on a bus and then the bus would not stop (not full). Would not recommend this hotel or resort to any body. We did do some of the trips to the water park and the western park were good would recommend both.
PLEASE NOTE TAXI STOP AT 9.30 MON THURS OVER ALL THE RESORT. TAXI IMPOSSIBLE TO GET. The best Mojacar hotel is ideal if you’re Spanish and you like Spanish music blaring in your ears from morning to night at the pool. Sat at the pool for half hour during holiday.
If you’re looking for a sun bed better get up at 6.30 as towels are on them from that time. Didn’t stay around hotel tried to stay out of it as much as possible. Wouldn’t go back if I got the holiday for nothing.

The hotel receptionists are, like a number of the bar staff ignorant, unless of course you are Spanish. There that’s it, the bad points over.
I took my son there and the rooms were clean with two large double beds. They were cleaned thoroughly and the bedding changed daily. The air con was superb ( a must ).
The pool was quite large and kept clean, however the sunbeds go pretty early so if you like your sleep ins like us, don’t expect to walk down and get a sunbed.
The food was very good, there was a large choice and the service was generally good in that part of the hotel.
This hotel is one which is used by a large number of Spanish holiday makers which is a good sign. We were not disturbed at anytime by loud people in the hotel which is one of the reasons I booked it. It is quiet as is the resort. There isn't really much to do in Mojacar but if you want to laze around the pool and relax in a comfortable environment then this is the place for you.

The majority of guests were Spanish and the place had a real family environment. It was quiet and peaceful and felt like Spain rather than sunny Essex.
We were encouraged to try and communicate in our very basic Spanish and enjoyed giving it a go. We developed relationships with members of staff as well as guests and found that nothing was too much trouble for them.
The trips on offer were excellent, the beach and pool relatively quiet.
