im trying to write this review, without predudice. but i know for all the true bad reports that are posted the next day someone will post a good report {some coincidence }ive never written any report on any holiday before but this time for the sake of all other travelers going to seray forrest take heed of this warning . i have read all the bad comments written on here that all others have commented about and i can say they are compleatly true and honest ,this is my opinion all i can add is dont use the shuttle bus down to the beach if you expect to be picked up in the evening to come back ,we used it three times and after waiting for an hour after pick up times ended up getting a taxi back when we complained we were told it had been down twice to ferry people back .when asking the driver the following day he said he had been caught up in traffic ,then it broke down .[could he have written all the excuses for british rail come to my mind }some might say this is a small gripe but with everything else that went on at this hotel as you will read from other reviewer s it was the final straw

well what can i say except stay away. We arrived early hours of the morning and had no problem checking in and to be fair the room was clean.We had chosen this hotel because it was all inclusive and on a very tight budget and it looked and read from the web site as ok. Breakfast a few hours later was nothing more than you would expect. we went to the beach for the day and came back by the shuttle provided by the hotel no problem....food that evening was good and we were starting to think why all the bad reports on the hotel....then reality hit.MY god, never been so dis-respected, mocked and ill treated in my life !!!!!!!!!!
1) any food left over from the night before was served up batter fried for lunch the next day and even if it wasn't all gone, served in a sauce for the next evening meal.
2)No hot water
3)We were un lucky enough to have a storm while we were there and the maids were running around putting towels in front of windows and doors to stop in the rooms to stop flooding !!!!which i hasten to add in some rooms didn't.
4)we had no towels in our room one day and went to ask them for some towels after an extremely hot day on the beach and they thought it was funny and shrugged their shoulders. I did eventually after loosing it with them managed to get some towels which were more or less thrown at me.
5)All inclusive, well thats a joke in itself. You were limit to what you had and they always cleared up 1/2 before. Dinner was supposed to finish at 21.30. We came down to dinner at 21.05 and it had all gone and cleared away and that wasn't the only case of it either.
6)All inclusive drinks - well these are extremely watered down which to be honest was not a surprise. You can only get one at a time. my partner went up to get us a drink just as it finished at 23.00. he was served his but not allowed mine as the clock had struck 23.00....pathetic !!!!!
7)Shuttle transfer to the beach ..well just don't do it. we took the transfer 3 times. First time was fine. went at 10.30 and picked us up at 18.00 no problem. Second time, no problem getting down but didn't turn up to pick us up after waiting 3/4 hr so we got a taxi back. There were for of us and the other couple had walking difficulties but we managed to get the money back from the hotel. Third time they really did pull a classic.Again the shuttle bus didn't turn up and we rang them twice and spoke to them. There were 6 of us waiting. We had gone down by local bus in the morning. I was told that 4 went down and 4 would be picked up. not us !!!!!!it was now 18.50, we were flying home and were being picked up at 20.50 and still had to totally finish packing, shower etc and have dinner...what a joke. As it happened we only just got the transfer bus as it turned up 20 minutes early luckily we were ready.
8) During the torrential rain we had to stay at the hotel. a lady next to us asked if the music could be turned up she was told no and when she asked why was told because the loud music encouraged to English to drink too much and they didn't want to the English at the hotel because they caused trouble.......I WAS GOB SMACKED BY THE IGNORANT AND SNEERING RESPONSE
9)Please if you go there make sure everything is locked up. We were careful with relevant documents etc and hired a safe but never thought about cigarettes etc...well two days our duty free went missing a few packets at a time and to be fair we queried it at the time between ourselves but the second day it was blatenley obvious. after locking them in our case nothing more went missing
10)The tv in the room was ok as long as you didn't speak English and were happy to look at pictures and ignore the sound.
11) The staff were extremely ignorant and couldn't give a dam and all of a sudden could speak no English if you asked them too much,. They really couldn't give a dam.
12)There were 3 dogs chained up that we could see from our balcony. The poor things barked all night and never once did we see anyone go to give them food or water.
Overall we went there with an open mind after reading all the reviews and said we would make our own judgement which everyone should do but we never in our wildest dreams could have expected what we found and that all the bad reports we had read were so accurate and true.We arrived back in England early hours this morning(24/09/11) and never been so pleased to leave a hotel and be home in our lives

i returned this morning from this hotel classed as 4* what a joke it only rates 2* the food is bloody awful watery and tastless and repeated every day served like school dinners rooms are basic and have only minimum cleaning air con does not work very rarely has hot water to shower if you have room at the front your lucky as the back is disgracefull two rottwilers tied up day n night barking all hrs , the pool is filthy and unsafe for walking around due to wetness and being slippy . it classed as all inclusive this is a lie there is no entertainment accept local lads break dancing and numerous michael jackson poor impersonators the turkish night is a joke also if you like plastic beef n chicken day in and out u be ok as well as salad , watered down beer spirits and wine served from 10am-11pm then bar shuts you can only buy if you go disco and still get the watered down crap says it has 2 lifts ha ha they only have one working no disabled access . the water slide only operates for 4 hrs a day 10am-12 and 2pm -4pm indoor pool strictly for those who use sauna n turkish bath every where u go its tip tip tip the shop a rip off we went out to eat most days due to how bad the food really is , i would really stay away from this dump there far nicer places to go than club seray forest .

start off the holiday on the bus for 3 and half hours to go to the hotel.do not go 2 this hotel the food is crap no food for the kids had 2 eat out every day beer is crap water down and vodka and wine is u had 2 pay for english breakfast 6.99tl, that's first day. in the day u had chips the kids went up to get the chips that was good they eat the chips, i ask if the kids can have chips and sauage they said i have to pay 750tl each.and this is not all inclusive hotel they got set time for food and no snacks bars for the kids and no free ice cream for the kids like they say.but the night time we have to eat out everynight the kids did not like food i would not give it to the dogs.so we went out that night we had a nice night the kids loved the food when we went out they were happy. we went back to the hotel to have a drink we got from the shops to find the staff playing around by the pool with chemicals and chlorine and gas us all about 50 people and kids got rushed to the hospital. and it was in the sun newspaper in turkey. and they throw one family off 7 out off the hotel because moan about the food. the room's are ok no pumps working in the big pool u can't see the floor. the baby's pool has pumps in u can see the floor. they had a turkish night there u had to pay 15tl each and 5tl for kids. we seen cats by the food and got photo's. the shows they put on u have pay for it. i would never go there again. one night i wanted a nice chinese so we got on bus 3 and found a nice chinese. it's called tai pan the kids and me loved it in there eat as much as u like.19.90tl and kids half price and play area for them to play inclose area. p.s the club Seray Forest is not the place 2 stay in turkey

I had my phone stolen, my friends all had various items go missing and we all had various amounts of cash stolen. Thieving was so rife through out the hotel, by the maids, that it was common topic of gossip around the pool. In fact 1 guy was kicked out of the hotel and the police were called after he thumped the manager when he refused to do anything about the theiving. Even things out of the safes were going missing.
The food is rank and only serves omlette or pancakes for breakfast between 8 and 10, then its dinner between 12 and 2, then it's "tea and biscuits" between 4 and 6 and finally its gross tea later.
If you want an english breakfast it will cost you 7 lira. A pizza at any time will cost you 10 lira. In fact everything else will cost you. The only thing that is all inclusive is the slop they serve up at set times and the watered down ale and vodka from the bar.
Entertainment was non-existant as when we got there they'd packed up and gone home because they hadn't been payed by the hotel.

dont even try this hotel on arriving at our room no air conditioning light fitting fell off straight away complained to manager straight away as had 3 yr old with us on opening balcony door we were surprised to see no view at all apart from washing on lines and a dog witch was tied to a 5 foot chain dont think he was moved all week .we complained every day about air con would not move us all would not sort out air con on 5th day i went to the massarge parlour and begged for a fan .the food is 2 choices each day even the kids would not eat some staff good the manager of hotel so rude he got punched and also strangled on two occasions rooms clean and pool good no entertainment for six days as all entertainment staff walked as they did not get paid no kids entertainment at all apart from a park but couldnt go on in day as got burnt.had to pay for icecreams and couldnt get served at bar as they kept saying no glasses could only have wine beer gin or vodka id rate this as 2 starhad to hold babys as highchair no straps and this has just been refurbished also watch staff as saw them coming out of bushes with girls lmao 4o mins to beach

Brilliant, brillant brilliant!! Everything about this hotel made our stay fantastic!!! The staff could not do enough for us and were great fun. The entertainment at the Turkish nights was a must see, and the food was excellent. Every night was tasty, we all kept going back for more and there was plenty off it!! The views round the Seray are amazing, especially at night sitting in the open top bar. Drinks are cheap to (the ones that arnt all inclusive bar) def great value for money! The rooms were really big and spaciouse, and very clean. Maids were round more then enough, and we could always get more inbetween if needed!! Hotel has been taken over with new management since 2010 and they must have improved everything because nothing was like the past reviews i read. I didnt have one complaint!!
Id recommend this hotel to anyone going in Marmaris. It definatly made our holiday more enjoyable!!!!
We have just re-booked to go back in August and for 2 weeks this time, and we cant wait!!!

Food is boring, flavorless and very little to choose from. The headboard fell off on the second night exposing the wiring. We told reception who did nothing, we went back the next day and the receptionist asked for our key to get in the room, we asked how the maids got in he told us they didn't leave the key,when i asked if that meant they took them home he didn't have an answer just told me to shush and got very aggressive and rude (He was the manager). The guy who sorted trips out had ago at us for booking with someone else and tried to scare us by saying other peoples Turkish baths were dirty and told us we could catch aids from them....? Not enough sun beds to accommodate even half the people staying. Most of the staff didn't speak English or wear uniform of if they did it was a shirt combats and trainers so you weren't sure if they did work there. Also it's not close to the beach like they say it is. Also entertainment you have to pay to see. All in all we weren't impressed, definatly not 4*. If it was advertised as 2* i could understand a bit.

this place is a dumb, family of 3, we went there they was no view from balcony just a big massive tree, rooms were not clean, inches of grime on toilet, holes in wall so you could see outside, food was freezing and like concrete, the drink was also watered down,was this bad we didnt even stay for one night, got our bags and went and stayed at a familys hotel! dont recommened for even an animal to stay here was disgusting

We just came back from our holiday.honestly this hotel is not good at all, food was dreadful, to many flies not much choice for children, my children was sturbing cuz they wont eat from the buffet. We end up eating out all the time. The hotel should hire a proper chef almost the food was repitative even salad,dessert was awful. Some of the staff was nice and poor management. Room was not good at all, we slept in 2 single bed and were four of us, they got one aircondition. Bathtub was dirty got dirty mark, not even clean by bleach. Swimming pool was dirty too many green algae on the side of the pool. My youngest son get sick. All in all this hotel is very poor hygiene, can't imagine they call this hotel, no light in hall way. Smell urine near the pool. I pay this holiday all inclusive around £1700.00 pounds 2 adult 2 child plus i spend £350 on food eating out. Staying this hotel seray is not worth holiday. We've enjoy the scenery of marmaris its really nice, if i did'nt get the excursion to mud bath, dalayan and the shoppers we've never enjoy a bit. We will come to turkey for holiday but neva in this poor hygiene, poor quality of food hotel seray. I pay for my transfer but when we meet the rep travelite the rep said our names are not in his system, so he ask me to pay £40 to take us to the hotel seray. Thank god we dont experience hassle on our transfer to dalaman airport. Were really glad weve back from holiday.weve tell you this so you wont experience how dreadful holiday weve got. Its better to stay in self catering accomodation.
