well what can I say , I wouldent say there again its more of a 2 . after 2 days got back our room was ok air con was good room very basic . we had a fantastic holiday but we eate out a lot as the food was rubbish yes chicken for lunch and dinner breakfast was cocktail sasages and bolied eggs , i would say some of the staff are very freindly some not look missrable, think i would be collecting cups all day for 12 hours, the drinks are waterd down you get a half cup of beer and if u ask to top it up they just stare at you, ice was a nitemare to get as well one ice per cup , you have to pay for icecream witch is a rip off , we payed a lot of money for this holiday and it was not up to standerd at all , some of the other reveiws are right , we met up with couple witch where lovley, and went to the bar near the entrance , they are so rude and cheeky , you pay for the all inclusive so you should be able to drink as much as you wish but there wasent much there and nothing to do at nights at all,, i loved turkey and would go back but I advice any one please do not book this hotel you will just be waisting your money .. over all we loved turkey and most of the people got out there way to make you feel so welcome just not at this hotel avoid it.... atif fawy

This was my fourth visit to these apartments, which are set at the back of the resort in peaceful surroundings. It has changed a little since my last visit, with the addition of a Turkish Bath, a must for all visitors.
The rooms are basic but well maintained. There are rooms with a double bed available, which are located at either end of the apartments both front and rear. The staff are friendly and more than happy to help you.
This is not suitable for the elderly or infirm, as it is a distance from the resort centre and there is a short but steep incline from the front gates to the door.
Not being one for the beach, we enjoyed to lie by the pool by day, on the wonderful sun terrace were the sunbeds are free and plentiful. There are pool games organised by the staff meant for the children, but enjoyed by all.
At the end of the day you can enjoy the view over Marmaris, with a quick drink before taking a Dolmus into town for an evening meal and a walk down the promenade.
Alternatively, there are many events and entertainment on an evening for those not wishing to venture into town. These are generally finished by around 10.30, so as not disturb the local residents as well as those wanting an early night.
There is a good atmosphere on an evening and we always tried to get back for a few drinks with the other guests before retiring.
I could not envisage visiting Marmaris and staying anywhere else.

What a great place! From arrival to departure the staff were lovely and would do anything they could to help.
The room was very clean and well maintained. It also had everything you would need from a self-catering point of view. Every room had a daily maid service which were very efficient and did a great job.
We had a small hiccup with the air con when we arrived which was made top priority and resolved very quickly and efficiently by the staff.
The pool was always clean and waiter staff were second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for them! They were very friendly and were an absolute pleasure to speak to. The only catch was the limited English language knowledge.
Am planning to go back early next year. We cannot wait!

Staying at the Club Seray Apartments was a bit like being an audience member on the Trisha Goddard show! With the exception of a handful of people the place seemed to attract all the elements of what is classed as being wrong with Britain today and it was hard to watch. Badly behaved, uncontrolled and unsupervised children were running riot through the the corridors of the hotel at all times of the night, banging doors, swearing, etc. It was a relief to get home for a decent nights sleep! Myself, my partner and our two children (aged 12 and 14) were constantly open-mouthed at the rudeness towards the hard-working and helpful staff who were nothing but pleasant at all times. Our answer was to stay away as much as possible.
Anyone who wants to book a tour (eg jeep safari, boat cruises) we recommend Timo Travel which is about 15 minutes walk from the apartments around the corner from the Golden Orange restaurant (very reasonably priced, good food, served by great staff who don't hassle you at all). We dealt with a guy called Mardin who sold us exactly what we wanted at good prices (we had been ripped off by the first place we went to - English by the way - (be very careful). Had it not been for this guy we would have left Turkey feeling very disillusioned as it seemed to us that everyone just wanted to get as much money out of us as possible (which is the case a lot of the time). However, as the week progressed we saw that the majority of the locals really want you to have a good time and are concerned if they think you are not.
If you want to eat good Turkish food (hard to find here in Marmaris as the "egg and chips" culture is everywhere) then go to Ali Baba's cafe/bar/restaurant which is on the opposite side of the road to Tansas supermarket down in the town. The staff don't speak English as this is a traditional Turkish establishment (no foreigners here) but we chanced upon it and the waiter gave us a selection of great food which was great for the kids who otherwise would have gone home not knowing what Turkish food was like.
We would go back to Turkey but next time it will be somewhere less commercialised and hopefully the residents of the apartments won't resemble something out of prisoner cell block H.

This holiday was FAB!!! The flights a bit annoying but apart from that ..... it was amazing!!
I came along with my mother, my brother aged 13 and my little sister aged 6 the holiday was great. All the entertainers Sergio, Oscar and Sasha were the best, they had something for you to do every hour of the day. Whether it be miniclub with Sasha that included painting and art activities with all the children and they absolutely loved it, or with Sergio there was an option throughout the day of water polo adults and childrens football also a pool tournament and more. There is also an option of bingo with Oscar of an evening and mini-disco for all the children and all the entertainers of a night. If you have any children between the age of 1-16 they will absolutely love it.
I highly recommend this hotel for a family holiday. I do recommend either in may or September you take a visit to Turkey because the temperatures become sky high and are believed to reach ova the 60s in July.
I came to this hotel May 2007 for 2 weeks, I then came again in September 2007. I met some fabulous people and now I am going to the same hotel for the third time next year May 2008!!
I believe there is many complaints about the hill (we called it killer hill), you have to climb up to make your way to the hotel. I found it is a bit of a struggle at the hottest point of the day but there is a mini bus that often travels by and gives you a lift.
Believe me there are many fabulous sights and great boat trips to try, if you have the opportunity to take a mud bath take it! Skin 10 yrs younger 10 yrs softer!!
Thanx for reading!

I went to the Club Seray Forest in October 2006 with my boyfriend and son age 2.
It was the first time I had been to Turkey. The staff were very friendly, the hotel and pool was very clean, and the housekeepers make love hearts out of towels and put flowers on your bed, so romantic.
We all loved it so much so that we did spend most of the day around the hotel complex and we ate there, the food is absolutely gorgeous and cheap.
I am going back in 3 weeks with my cousin and my son, I loved it that much.

The hotel is of a good standard, clean and reasonably maintained. The pool could have been bigger although we were fortunate as the hotel was not that busy whilst we were their. Food from the restaurant was fine although stay away from anything that states ham, its more like tasteless tongue. Weather was red hot (40+ & still 36 at 10pm), although it was starting to cool down towards the end of the holiday. Bill the rep - Nice Geordie chap, very helpful and very knowledgeable (10/10).
TRIPS, use Nostradameus Travel in the square (400 yrds from hotel), exactly the same excursions, a damn site cheaper and very reliable - ask for Kate.
Marmaris - very busy (Blackpoolish) recommend Icmeler for a night out, a lot quiet but still plenty of things to do.
Expect to tip for everything, Oh, and I almost forgot you need to buy your own loo roll as the hotel does not supply it, it does sell it, for a 3 star hotel and such a basic requirement, not impressed.
Overall a very enjoyable holiday.

Just back from Club Seray Forest with my 2 children, its our second year there. Apartments clean and well equipped, staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of entertainment although it was the same as last year. Booked our trips through Bill the Thompson rep who was very good, my children had ear infections and he helped us. Food was a bit bland so my children wouldn’t eat. But plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Only problem we had was trying to get served we had to go the bar ourselves and wait to be served, bit annoying but others had to do the same thing. Going back to Marmaris next year but going to the new hotel cant wait. Hi to everyone we met!!!!!!

When we arrived at the Club Seray Forest, we where a bit concerned that we seemed miles away from anywhere. Our holiday was allocation on arrival, so we knew nothing about the accommodation and were hoping to be by the beach.
I can honestly say this did not affect our holiday at all, we had the most fantastic time. Our Thomson rep a guy called Bill was fantastic, we met him at the airport and he was everything a rep should be friendly, approachable and obviously had a great passion for Turkey and the people who live there.
On arrival we where greeted by the manager and checked in speedily by excellent reception staff, our rooms where nice, spotless, with a lovely bathroom. On the down side there is only air con in the bedroom, so the two people stuck sleeping on the pull down couches in the living area will be sweltering through out the night. After chatting to a few people, we found that they had carried the couches into the bedroom and all slept in the one room. The air con costs £4 a night (10 turkish Lira) but I would pay it, it is so hot.
In the room there is a kettle, fridge, toaster and electric two ring stove with no oven. We ate out every day so only used the facilities for toast for breakfast and tea/coffee. I know one lady cooked every night and even found a Tesco supermarket to stock up.
Our first night we ate in the restaurant at Club Seray Forest as we were to tired to explore and we were very pleased with the food, I had steak and it was excellent. The restaurant manager Kemal introduced himself and explained about the half board option they have at the Club Seray, which actually is very good value, it's breakfast and dinner for I think it was £9 per day, you don't have to commit to a full week you can just do a couple of days, or a day if you want. Kemal was very helpful and charming and you never felt under pressure to eat in the hotel.
There was one waiter in particular who looked after us every night, his name was Bengamin and he was a true professional. We couldn't thank him enough for how he looked after us, excellent service and nothing was to much hassle. When you stay in the Club Seray they have a club card you need to use to pay for everything, I was doubtful at first, but it really is an excellent idea. You put money on the card at reception and when you pay for food at the bar or restaurant you get an electronic itemised bill that you sign for, it saves you needing cash around the pool and you know you can't get overcharged for things. I did feel sorry for the waiting on and bar staff as they obviously don't get any tips.
When we did eat out 5 minutes away is the excellent Carol's Restaurant and the Star restaurant, Carol's was the better of the two. When we checked the prices in the hotel they where the same as restaurants outside, so it wasn't any cheaper to eat away from the hotel. The hill every one is going on about in previous reviews isn't that bad, but it would be a problem is you where disabled or elderly.
The Entertainment Team in the Club Seray are fantastic, Oscar, Sergio and Sasha they work so hard. There is water polo, football, all sorts of fun activities in the day to keep the kids occupied and in the evening Mini Disco which was the high light of the holiday for my 4 year old, followed by the entertainment. We saw snake man, fire man, belly dancers, break dancers (who where amazing) magic shows, it's not fantastic but it's a great laugh with a few beers. All the entertainment was finished by about 11pm every night and the hotel would be very quiet, we honestly had no problems with noise of a night from other guests and as it is far away from the centre of Marmaris lovely and peaceful.
Getting in to Marmaris takes about 10 mins on the local bus, no 2 & 3 take you into Marmaris or there is the free complimentary lift you can get of the hotel, think it goes 6 times a day. When we got into Marmaris with all the hustle & bustle we where so glad we where away from it all, in the peace and quiet and realised the Club Seray's location was a bonus.
We booked two trips with Thompson 'Sunsplash Cruise' and 'Dalyan Adventure' both excellent, £20 for each trip, my 4 year old went free and we got a trip to the Turkish Baths thrown in for free. The trips where excellent, everyone tells you when you book with Thomson how you could have got it cheaper and maybe I could, but when you have a 4 year old you want to know your in safe hands.
The bonus Turkish Baths was amazing such a good experience (free if you book 2 trips) so funny seeing my little one get scrubbed by a turkish masseur, he loved it. Talking about Turkish Massages the guy at the Club Seray is a right old pain in the backside, he will hassle you from when you arrive till you leave to go and get a massage, in the facilities at Club Seray. It costs £20 for the works and to be honest it was amazing and worth every penny, I strung him along for 3 days and got it for £15 but be warned, he won't stop till he gets you.
If you go on Holiday to Club Seray I hope you have a wonderful holiday we did, a big thank you to all the staff as they where all fantastic!

Just got back 26/07/07, had a week in this apartment and I can say apart from the hill, it was all 10 out of 10. Staff were very helpful in all ways, a little entertainment at night was good, ie. bingo, kids half hour disco then one or two hours for all shows.
You can upgrade to half board when you get there which is really worth the money, you can pick anything off menu. Pool is lovely and we didn’t find sun beds hard to get. It was all English people staying in hotel.
Would go back tomorrow. Other place which was good to eat was the Star Bar, really friendly.

The hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. A good base for a family holiday,2 adults and a 13 and 10 year old, far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to get there with little fuss when you want to live it up.
Staff are friendly and the hotel is reasonably clean. Kids can be noisy during the day but they are only enjoying themselves and its not so bad as to keep you awake at night. Entertainment team try very hard to put some fun into everyone's holiday during the day and night. Entertainment at the hotel stops between 11 to 11.30 pm.
Hotel would be even better at the bottom of the hill as it is quite steep but it is no Ben Nevis. Don't let the incline put you off, taxis and Dolmus are plentiful.
The shops and restaurants make their living from the tourist so expect to be mildly hassled by the traders, but they are never rude or overpowering "Just say No Thanks" and they will accept that.
The best recommendation is that I would go back without any hesitation.
