Great hotel this really. Every room has a sea view -hotel is right on the beach decor was decent and rooms clean but a little dated to be truthful.

The meals we found to be typical Spanish hotel stuff which was not over the top but ok with a good choice however it got a bit boring at the weeks end but doesn’t it in all hotels?

The pools were absolutely superb - five different ones -but they were freezing cold with only a few brave souls getting in.

Problem is the hotel is in the wrong place. There is nothing whatsoever there except about a dozen bars including 2 night clubs. That goes for the whole of Almeria - if you’re under 30 stay here at your peril and don’t expect the 24 -7 scene at all.

Plenty of the other 'guests' were Spanish and had unusual ways of welcoming people to their country like stealing your chair, shutting the door in your face and abusing you (assuming they wouldn’t be understood - which I do!) oh for that ultimate cultural experience try getting on a bus in Aguadulce.

Don’t visit this area of Spain at any price you are not needed trust me. Go to Salou or Lloret instead.

This hotel looks fantastic but...

This hotel looks fantastic but that is all it does! We got a last minute deal and paid less than £200 each for one week but that is all it is worth. The hotel has really nice rooms and a great pool and a very small gym and a fantastic Jacuzzi but they charge 20euros each to use it. The food at this hotel is not 5 star standard, breakfast is cooked while you wait so you can imagine the queue for bacon eggs or omelette. The evening buffet is the same all week and very boring. Most people in our hotel ended up eating out in the evening!!

The staff at this hotel are all Spanish and they do not like us English they were very ignorant and in the restaurant they couldn’t wait to take your plate away when you put your knife and fork down, one lady stopped eating to talk and have a drink and they was there trying to take her plate away half way through her meal!!!!!! But they don’t even ask you if you have finished they just swipe your plate from under your nose!!

On our last day we was leaving at 9am so we went down for breakfast at 7.45 and they had nothing ready to eat but breakfast is served from 7.30 people waited for bread and coffee for 25 mins. The cook was in a really bad mood and wasn’t cooking the food properly he was slapping bacon on peoples plates with a right attitude we ended up with 3 slices of bacon stuck together and not separated and not cooked in the middle.

If you get a cheap deal on this hotel then fine be prepared to eat out though and if you want nice smiling polite staff then don’t go to this hotel. Apart from that the rooms were clean and to a high standard and the glass lifts and water fall through the hotel look really nice but there is no atmosphere at night time in the hotel so be prepared to go out every night has you only get 3 English speaking channels on your TV Euro sport BBC world and American news.
