Sunsail Club Leda Resort Reviews

Sun, sea, sand, what more could you...
9 / 10
May 2004, chookie

Sun, sea, sand, what more could you want? And enjoying all this with friends can only equal in a perfect holiday!
I went to Greece with my mum and two other families and their children who I am friends with. We stayed in a beautiful Sunsail resort called Club Leda near Skiathos. The surroundings were amazing, no pollution, no buildings, it was like a different planet.
When we got there we were immediately greeted by some of the Sunsail staff, all young and very friendly. We were shown to our apartment which was simple but comfortable, we had a balcony with a great view and straight away I was in my bikini for a dip in the pool. It was freezing, but as the week went on I grew used to it and I was always jumping in (or in some cases being thrown in)!
On the next day we went to the kids club, we were in the beach team for 13-16 year olds. We were a bit shy to begin with but after a day it was like we had known each other for the whole of our lives- it was brilliant. During the week we did everything from board balancing, sunbathing, sailing, swimming, more sunbathing, playing volleyball, ringoes and of course some more sunbathing along with lots of other fun activities! I loved every minute of it.
I think that one of the best things was that we weren’t tied down to our parents at all, we could just be with our friends in a safe environment. The weather was brilliant and we all got gorgeous tans!
On some evenings we ate at the outside club restaurant, the food was delicious, and there were themed nights, with great entertainment! On the other evenings we went down to the local town Melina and ate in restaurants there, the food in these was lovely also and we could sit on the edge of the sea, looking out at the pretty sunset or just watching the world go by! There was also a lovely cafe called Cafe Blanca which served food which really tingled your taste buds and it was such a beautiful building to sit in.
I would recommend this holiday to anyone, young or old who is looking for a sociable holiday. There are kids clubs for all ages, and also sailing courses and flotillas. You don’t have to be a keen sailor because you can just laze around the beach all week or visit the local towns and villages.
There is something for everyone. The people and staff are all friendly and the accommodation is great. The only reason I gave it a 9 and not a 10 was that we only went for a week- I didn’t want to go home!
