Well we arrived back with alot more energy than when we arrived at the resort.
We did not realise what a long journey from the airport to the resort was going to be, nearly two hours on a coach that with the travelling time an the time difference, ten hours altogether,,so lost a day there. We were shocked when we arrived at the hotel, the enterance is very bland an looks unfinished, considering it has been open since 2000 the hotel enterance is not very inviting on first inspection. We were informed that this was 5 star, infact it was only 4star!!!!
The rooms are ok but have no tea making facilities as you would expect an we asked for, this matter was addressed for us. The food was very good and the people are very friendly an welcoming. The beach is awful, well its not a beach it is just stones which make it very difficult to walk on an just looked awful an unfinished. There is a lovely pool areas which is kept very clean and a special pool area for children which was nice.
Do take your own towels as it is like trying to dry yourself down with sand paper. There is a bus service but you really need to hire a car to be able to get any where, you are marroned really not much to do as all. The entertainment apart from one night was pretty poor. The one saving grace is the Manager...Nansie...she was a star and nothing was too much trouble for this lady...well done her

Well I'm back at work after returning two days ago from the Miraluna Village, and I desperately would like to be back there right now!!
The weather was lovely for us apart from one day which was only slightly overcast, the rest of the time was clear sunny skies with temperatures in the early to mid twenties.
The week we went the building we were in had only been opened five days, with the restaurant only opened the second day we were there. I apologise if these 'directions' seem muddled, but the complex is very big! I think it was a good week to go, as talking with one member of staff a week later and the place would have been absolutely packed, which I don't believe would have been as relaxing as it is when it is quieter.
The restaurant that is by the pool we were in had a better atmosphere than the restaurant in the main building, with less of a canteen feeling. The food was excellent with a variety of Greek dishes throughout the week. I think you may struggle if you are the archetypal 'English man abroad' as the plainer options consisted of chips and grilled chicken everyday, so not much choice if you prefer bland food. The vegetarian dishes were amazing and very varied.
The staff were all very friendly and really helped to make our holiday as fantastic as it was. The entertainment was good if you like that kind of thing - ranging from an Abba tribute act, an acrobatics team and karaoke one night (have to say I sat that one out..!).
We stayed in the hotel most of the time apart from one day when we walked up to the next set of hotels in Kiotari, about a 25/30 minute leisurely stroll. The choice of shops was good, and the prices were quite a bit cheaper than the prices in the hotel shops.
It showed us how friendly and welcoming the staff are when we were sat outside waiting for our taxi to collect us for the airport when the manager of the hotel came over and shook our hands and hoped we had had a good time, and a couple of other members of staff after him did the same. I've stayed in far more expensive hotels but haven't enjoyed myself half as much, I will definately be returning and hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back there!

This hotel is in a fantastic location right on the beach, which after a long day sunbathing is perfect! It is in the South of the Island which seems to have the best weather, it's not very windy etc. We went with our 2 children for the Easter Holidays and even then the weather was great, admitedly we were hoping it would have been warmer but when you have 22 degrees and it is freezing back home who are we to complain.
The staff were excellent, always looking out for you and making sure any query or request was fulfilled to their highest standard. Lots of things for the children to enjoy incluiding kids club and activities on the beach which leaves you to relax with a cocktail. There was good entertainment of an evening all though it can get a bit repetitive but I would advise to go out of the complex and enjoy the local area, everybody makes you feel so welcome.
The food again was of a very high standard although I imagine if you went for 2 weeks it could get a little repetitive, but there was plenty of choice for all of us and I am a very picky eater, the salads were fab and the chicken in a red sauce was so delicious I had to ask for the recipe!!!!
I can't really find fault with the hotel the rooms were cleaned every day and are very modern and up to date, the family room that we had was perfect it is 2 rooms with an interconnecting door.
The only down side for, some people but it was perfect for us, may be the location, it is a family resort there are planty of bars and restaurants about but it is a little slower paced and very relaxing, no night clubs around here!
We would definitely return here again and are actually looking to book again for about July!

After a little research I booked this hotel and happy to say got just what I expected. Booked flights separately, once we arrived in Rhodes walked outside to be met by plenty of taxi's, there is a board next to the taxi rank stating what the cost to each resort is 47euros to Kiatori (it is one of the furthest resorts from the airport) and the ride takes approx 1 hour.
Reception is a little confusing as 2 hotels ran by the same company (blue Bay resorts) opposite each other on a private road. Miraluna's reception is up the steps - Kiatori Bay has only 3 steps. We arrived at 11:30pm check is was fast we where given a map of the complex and told where our room was, the receptionist advised us that the snack bar/bar was open until midnight so if we hurried we could grab a snack and drink. The complex is very hilly, we had paid extra to have a private/shared pool and were located a good walk away from the hotel. Half way up the hill a guy in a golf buggy stopped told us to jump on with our bags and took us up the hill. This is my only complaint - for a 5 star hotel the finishing touch would be a bell boy to carry your bags after a long journey.
Left the bags in our room and set off in search of the bar, had a snack and a couple of drinks (OK I needed Tea and that's what I got, my partner needed beer and he was happy). Our room large and spotless, there was decking outside the patio doors and a pool which we shared by 6 other rooms. There are rooms which do have a small private pool but think these where family units. Mixed nationality at the hotel but we all got along.
The food was fantastic, sorry but if you want chips, burgers, steak then go to a commercial resort (Mini England). Lots of local dishes, carvery, lamb/pork chops, salad's you name it we had it. The snack bar opens at 10am for late breakfasts changing to lunch at 1pm. Not as much choice because of the size but always plenty to choose from, there is a toasty maker and ice cream available 10am till close at 12pm. Help your self drinks, beer, wine, fruit juice, fizzy pop, hot chocolate, coffees, spirits where served by the waiter. What more do you want (another bar in the main hotel and the use of bars across at Kiotari bay).
The beach is pebble and yes beach shoes are needed, its worth the pain as the sea is so warm. We took a trip on the glass bottom boat to Lindos and a couple of other bays 20euro's each for 2 hours. The boat picks you up on the beach and is well worth the money, the guy who drives the boat gives you lots of information along the way, even stops off for 15mins so you can have a dip in the sea.
Local bus stops right outside the hotel and takes you almost anywhere on the island you could want to go to, Rhodes town 5euros 40cents each way. Rhodes old town is a must. Holiday was end of Sept came back 5 Oct and the weather was HOT 112 in the shade some days.
Hope this helps you if undecided on this hotel, We would def go back again. For Greece we would quite happily see this hotel as a 4-5 star.

This was a last minute booking on the internet for us a family of five, two adults, two young adults 15 and 13 and a 6 yr old, a risk as we could not find any reviews to get an idea of what to expect at this resort and when we did they were all in German, any way it looked ok.
This resort has two hotels, a 3 star and a 5 star, we had booked 5 star, Arrived at 06.30 am to check in receptionist very rude as we were at the 3 star hotel told us to go over the road to 5 star. Anyway, here is a quick synopsis of what to expect.
Caters to Germans but met a lot of English families there.
Rooms: very clean, has mini bar but is never filled even with water, you can either buy water in the shop or fill up your own bottles to take back to the room which is frowned upon by the staff.
Pools and surrounding areas: Beautiful and clean, with a great choice, plenty of sun beds at anytime of the day.
Bars: you have to pay for any branded spirits and liquors.
Restaurant: food ok mainly caters for the Germans and many Greek dishes not to my liking but I never went hungry, not much choice for children.
Beach: horrible and stony which was a shame because the water was lovely, you do need beach shoes.
Entertainment: In 5 star hotel absolute rubbish, but we went to the 3 star hotel entertainment and this was good, the two older girls got a little bored at times but still enjoyed it.
If you are expecting 5star luxury, forget it, 3 - 4 star at best. The 3 star hotel is like a cattle market, the 5 star a little more exclusive as if you were 3 star you could not use 5 star facility but if you were 5 star you could use all facilities.
You can upgrade to 5 star when you arrive and I met some families who done exactly that and it made all the difference.
The weather was fantastic and we did enjoy our stay as it is only what you make of it however I would not return to this hotel but I would return to Rhodes

The only 'All Inclusive' holiday where you have to pay for more or less everything. When we arived at the 5 star hotel the reception advised we would be staying in the other hotel which turned out to be 3 star although what we had booked for 5 star. The food is free although virtually ineatable, i lived on plain pasta for the whole week. The mashed potatoe is like soup and all the 'free' drinks are 90% water. You have to pay for cocktails of any 'real' (not watered down) drinks. The beach doesnt have any sand, its more like a quarry with loads of stones and bits og glass etc. You have to pay sunbeds and umbrellas at the beach too and also any drinks at the beach bar.
