before i went on my holiday i came on this site n viewed the comments i was quite dissapointed to here the coments, i was a bit put off really but me and my fella decided to still go to get our own opinion. After a week holiday there i am very happy to say we had a fantastic time its extremly clean and the people our loverly theres plenty of entertainment for every1. i would definetly without a doubt go back again so dont be put off by high class people who like 2 moan on here cos there talkin rubbish

Cala d or itself is a lovely resort. It is very clean. The Azul Playal apartments are very clean, but very very small.



Do not go there if you have mobility problems, no matter what the tour operator says as it is full of steps. I was so upset as we had our parents with us and my dad has problems walking up steps. (I had requested no steps). The aircon is not worth paying for, my parents didn't work very well and ours didn't work at all. The shower in their room also flooded. We are not generally people who complain or make a fuss, but too many things were not working.



The Alex who has been mentioned lots in these reviews does not work there any more. I cannot tell you how rude the girl on reception was to us. Unbelievable, we had paid for our holiday it was not a freebie!



I would recommend Cala dor but not those apartments. The restaurant opposite the apartments, I think its called Espiga.... was wonderful, the food was out of this world. Definitely the best place to eat there. Cala Ferrera itself where the apartments are is lovely, but stay somewhere else maybe the Ferrera Blanca, which had great reviews from some people we met. Everyone else we met were lovely.

The Azul Playa was an excellent choice of apartments to stay in. Although the apartments were a bit on the small side they were very accommodating and they were very clean and well equipped. Some of the apartments also have very nice sea views.



The staff are very friendly and always smiling, they work very hard as they run the reception and the pool bar at the same time.



There is a restaurant adjoined to the apartments called El Faro, we didn't actually eat there but it did look very nice and clean. You can also sit in there and look out over the beach.



The pool however was a nice size, although it was the same depth throughout. Which made it difficult for anyone under 6ft to touch the bottom. They did have a nice little kid’s pool as well.



The apartments are very ideally located, just being across the road from a vast selection of bars, restaurants and shops, but being far enough away so not to be disturbed.



We are hoping to go back next year, as we had a fantastic time and the resort of Cala D’Or is lovely.

The apartments were compact, very clean and include hairdryer, radio and satellite TV (Spanish & German only). Limited space to cook in the small kitchen but who wants to cook on holidays?! Our apartment was overlooking the pool and as we seemed to be one of the few couples there it suited us perfectly.



I would imagine that it could be somewhat noisier in peak times although this accommodation appeared to attract couples rather than families. Ample entertainment on your doorstep with a variety of bars to suit everyone. There are a vast array of restaurants/cafes to suit all tastes and budgets.



The El Faro restaurant attached to the apartments would be highly recommended as well as many more in the resort proper. For lighter snacks and cheaper meals the Mestral just up the road was delightful and tasty. Definitely one we will return to in the future!

Excellent basic apartments in superb location. Spotless clean & well maintained. Staff very friendly & the El Faro Restaurant attached to complex highly recommended.



Our Apartment was on the small side but sufficient.



Good value & I would use again.

Beautiful rooms, I have stayed in a few apartments in cala dor this has to be the best, friendly polite staff, small so good for a relaxing holiday, great for families or couples. Loved every second. Our apartment looked over the beach, this was gorgeous views morning and night without a doubt I will be returning next year! Well worth the money!




its not too far from the town centre allowing enough space from the lively music, yet close enough to stroll down into on a night whether it to be for a meal or night out!


the resort cala dor has a beautiful marina and 7gorgeous coves, this is nicer than one long beach as its much more peaceful and such a sun trap! I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday! I felt very welcome! The apartments are attached to a restaurant named el faro. The food is lovely, there’s something for everyone, the service is good, and best of all its surprisingly really reasonable. Ideal for families who enjoy quality food at low prices. The best part is on top of all this by staying at Azul playa apartments you are given 10% off all evening meals at el faro. Can’t get better than that!!! Well worth visiting!
