Reviews of International Hotel, Kos Town, Kos
International Hotel, Kos Town
The Hotel International is well-known for its friendly and helpful staff who take a real pride in their work‚ so much so that many guests are attracted back time and again. The surroundings and flowering lawns are also very appealing.

We stayed here in Sept 2008. Location overlooking marine. Ideal location, walking distance to town 10 mins. Great restaurants.
Coffee Plus great place for breakfast & evening meal.
AmbRosia restaurant in town excellent food.
Hotel : We was made welcome by staff, who are very friendly. Hotels is slightly dated but very clean. Pool area is very clean, quiet and the first holiday that we have managed to get sunbeds, regardless of time of day. Sophie & Nicky were friendly and great at serving snacks and drinks. The manager Thomas was also very helpful with any queries we had.
Bar very reasonably priced (cheaper than the town) stocked with local & international drinks and not watered down like some other bars we went to!
There was a lot of people who had been going to this hotel for years and they all made us feel welcome and gave us ideas of places to visit in the area.
For what we paid for the holiday it was worth the money.

Stayed here in june 08, 1st floor room on front overlooking the marina
Good points- small but clean, tidy rooms, regular maid service, good location only 15 min stroll into town, free car parking just across main road, great views over marina from balcony
Not so good points- front room is noisiest room we have ever stopped in from cars (and returning revellers late at night) so had to keep balcony doors closed in 35+ degrees, air-con overpriced (11 euro) and turned off at 11pm, pool shuts at 6pm
Night staff not particularly happy bunch
Decor stuck in the 1970's, much wood panelling and old fashioned seating
Breakfasr adequate but boring, could do with at keast a toaster
If you want fairly cheap accomodation close to town this is OK

Before you read this, please note I have been to Greece loads of times & know what to expect. This hotel however was extremely disappointing.
I emailed them 3 times before booking to guarantee a sea/marina view which we were promised. On arrival we were overlooking a building site at the side! Queried this with the manager who denied all knowledge of it and blamed the tourist board. They then spent the rest of the week deliberately ignoring us & being extremely rude.
Rooms are ok, quite clean but extremely small. Bathrooms look like a scene out of Psycho & the balconies were designed for oompah-lumpahs, they are about 2 feet square.
Breakfast is awful, stale bread rolls & fake nescafe coffee. They don’t seem to like English people here, hotel is full of Dutch people and it shows in the staff attitude. Only nice one we met was the night-porter.
Don’t let the grassy green photos on their website fool you, the hotel’s in an extremely built up area on a corner of a mad busy road where you have to play "dodge the cyclist or suicidal scooter rider" 24 hrs a day.
They charge extra for air-con (like most) but we were press ganged into paying for the whole holidays fee half way through our holiday (made us feel like they thought dodgy English don’t pay bills). We are a 30 something couple on a quiet holiday!
Pool is very small but extremely clean and always pretty quiet.
We never had a single drink in hotel, didn’t feel welcome.
Quite convenient for beach & town centre but don’t expect a warm welcome.

A small family run hotel very friendly, ideally situated for what we required, nice and quiet Lovely staff who kept the hotel both clean and tidy.
Tried it once 4 years ago been back twice a year ever since got so many friends now it's like being with an extended family who are so welcoming and relaxing like a second home for us both!!!!!!!!!!!
We also have got many friends in Tingaki where we go to the beach and can recommend a visit to the Tingaki restaurant where the staff are the best.

Comfortable hotel - spotlessly clean. Staff friendly and extremely helpful. Reception desk is staffed 24/7 for any problems and late arrivals.
Breakfast basic continental but there is easy access to many nearby tavernas offering full English breakfast at reasonable prices. Kos town centre is only a short walk and there are several car and cycle hire businesses close to the hotel. Bikes are very cheap to hire and handy for quick access to the nearest beaches. For the nervous cyclist there is a cycle pathway along the seafront - presently being extended towards the town centre.
Apart from breakfast, meals are not served in the hotel but good value snacks and drinks are available beside the swimming pool. The hotel overlooks the marina and is not close to any noisy nightclubs. Highly recommended.
