we have just got back from a 2 week holiday at the club alpina apartments,in turkey.
we had never been to turkey before,so we wasnt sure of what to expect,we have been thinking of going for a few years, but put it off, they was no need to, what a lovely place.
the turkish people are so freindly, and happy.
when we got there it was 11.15pm, and it was dark,so we couldnt see alot, but we heard all this loud music,my first thought was oh my god, where have we come, but bye 12 oclock the music was turned off, this is the law,we was told.the music wasnt even coming from our hotel,it was happy days over the road. the hotel was very clean, and the staff was very helpfull, and always had a smile even after working all night.
the pool was a good size with 2 slides, which they turned on for 3 hours a day.they was a few people falling on the wet floor, but it does tell you not to run as the floor is wet.
the bar staff are all very friendly, james, jimmy, gino, coco, we use to stay around the pool quiet a lot,as it was just too hot to go shopping.the food was ok,never had bad meal..we always went out for the evening meal and eat well every where we went, uncle sams is nice food and quiet if you like that. sharas is very good, and red rose is where we went on our last night was very good, should have gone there before, but they is so many places to eat, oasis is good value and nice food, every where is good, september bar which is about 10-15 minutes walk, and yes sir is good about 10 minutes walk.
the weather was very hot, we shouldnt moan about it,as it has rained nearly every day since we got back. we would defo go back, but to a different place.
we did the mud baths, and turtle beach, very funny, beach was lovely too. it makes me laugh thinking of my 2 girls in the mud, they wasnt happy at all to get the mud in there long blonde hair.
we was told about geting dicky tummys, but we didnt, and about the turkish men with your kids, we had no problems with that with our kids..the only time was once i went to the shops on my own and they did ask if i was married and where my husband was,and how big he was, i told them he was big man,and they was 19 of us and he was in the bar over the road watching me,this seemed to do the trick and i left the shop.
this haggerling thing i wasnt up on, i would rather just have a price.all in all a good holiday, and a lovely place. only went to marmaris twice, very big place, too hot to walk round so came home, and second time my little girl was sick in macdonalds so we came home, she had an ear infection, which she got from the pool,we took her to chemist 10 mins down the road and got her some penersillen, and ear drops, it seemed to do the trick.
we went to the water park, aqua dream, it wasnt that big,its only about 15 mins in a taxi, its at the top of a very large hill, we booked with the rep, this was the biggest mistake, book all your trips on the road with the turkish people, they have insurance, and it will be less than half the price you pay with your rep.
we did the rhodes trip, this was a very good day out, we left the hotel at 7.30am and got back at 7pm,full day, it takes about one hour and 15 mins to get there, it says 45 mins, but bye the time you get out of marina and in at the other side ,this is how long it really takes.
good holiday, would go again, but to some where else in turkey.

Our first time in Turkey and won't be our last!!!
Just returned from 2 fantastic weeks at Club Alpina and will definetely be going back. Rooms very basic but clean and cleaners came in everyday changing the towels and bedding every few days. Food here was good and reasonably priced but the cheapest we found was a place called Red Rose, really enjoyed the food here. Sam's and Amadeus were ok too. Didn't really go on any trips out apart from the Waterpark Aqua Dream which was a little expensive so take plenty of cash with you. The bus into Marmaris took bout 10 mins but the beach not brilliant here, we caught the bus to Icmeler where the beach was a lot nicer. Overall we had a brilliant time and the entertainment at the hotel was great with pool games etc on all afternoon, kids mini disco at nite followed by various entertainment such as snake shows and turkish bbq. Staff (James, Jimmy, Michael, Gino, Coco and Thomas) were great with the kids and they were sorry to come home - can't wait to go next year.
Thanks for a great holiday hope to see you all next year!!!

well i had never been to turkey before and was not looking forward to it but when i got there i thought it was a lovely hotel the hotel is so nice, the food was excellent exspecially the pizzas.
i thought the waiters were the life and soul of the holiday they got you to join in with the fun activities and was waiting on you hand and foot which i think was geat.
the pool was very cold but that was great when i was very hot, the weather was so hot so i really enjoyed that.
i went out a few times and thought the bars where great over there.
i hope to be going back to club alpina in september to see all the great people who work over there.
there job is so hard as they have to put in all the long hours just for us to enjoy our holiday.
bless them all xxx

I am just back 2 days ago and i am already looking to book up again for next year to this hotel.
I have been going to marmaris for 14 years and this is by far the best hotel i have been to. We went as a group of 20 and we were in different hotels my sister and partner went to a 5* all inclusive hotel and ours was by far better. They spent all of their time at club alphina as did the rest of the family it was great.
There was entertainment all day every day i really dont know how the staff manage it. There food was superb the rooms were spotless really clean and the staff were great they made the holiday.
I will deffinetly be back here.

i have just come home today from club alpina in turkey maramis, i found that the room was just ok, the self catering faculties arent that good theres anly a small hob that takes ages to warm up, no toaster. the cleaners did nothing jsut made the bed, didnt change the bedding in the week we was there, the shower was crap and you have to run round it to get wet and some days it was cold. you ahve to pay for the telly to be turned on £5 a week! the food that you get at the bar is quite nice....
the staff never ever leve you alone n i felt that they made you feel boring if you didnt want to join in everything they do and drag you up to do everything even if you realy dont want to do it. there was alot of bullying going on between the staff there was jimmy and james, the 2 head waiters and entertaiers bullying mustaffa another waitor, witch i felt was disgusting and made me sad as you can feel the tension between them! the pool is absolutly freezing so you cant just jump in wenever you want! there is a loud genorator that wakes you up on the morning! there was no furnature on the balony. towards the end of the holiday i became happier, the staff really get you involved once you are used to them hounding you and will help you as mush as they can. the entertainment was good, very good for the kids! they have a difrent thing on every night, kareoke, quiz night, break dancers, a turkish bbq night, a fire night were a bloke does a fire show witch is really good. a belly dancer also. i do have to say there was a few staff that i loved! they was mustaffa (jake) michel, coco, suhan, and compi! they were the ones who didnt bother you constantly and make the effort to make you feel comfortable.
i wouldnt go again, i went with my boyfriend we had a really good time and made the best of what we had, if your a quiet couple wanting a hassle free break i wouldnt advise you to go, but big families go for it!

Just got home from staying in Alapina and what can I say apart from brilliant!
I went with my friends and as I have visited Marmaris many times before to see my Turkish fiancée, I knew what to expect. But this hotel was better than anywhere I have stayed before!
The bar/entertainment staff were really nice, especially Jay Jay, Jimmy, James, Alex and Martin. They have a hard job to do but they're great at doing it! The rooms were basic but nice and the cleaners were in every day.
The only problem I had was with the night time receptionist, he just seemed to be rude to me and my friends for the entire time we was there! But we didn't let it ruin an otherwise perfect holiday!
We are already looking forward to returning next year! Can't wait!

Great holiday went October 12th, kids had a ball. Boat trips are fab, water park brill. There was great bargains at markets.
Only a couple of bad things: some of the restraunts were a bit disappointing, food was cold in two of the places we went to. Avoid the Captains Bride at the harbour, we waited an hour for food, still cold so we paid for the drinks and left.
The airport, they charged us 6 pounds for every kilo over weight. We had to empty cases and put them in hand luggage and take them on plane and still had to pay 26 pounds. So next time we go will take only some clothes and buy rest at market. Very cheap 8 lacoste t-shirts for 20 pounds. Very good quality, same for every thing else.
Apart for that, brill. Thanks to the staff at hotel.
