Alexandra Hotel

This hotel has been recently renovated so the room and bathroom was modern and comfortable. We had a quadruple room and this was great for kids as there was two single beds in a seperate room with small kitchenette and table (even though hotel!). We brought food in a couple of times and the hotel didn't have a problem with this. Location was great in terms of being in the centre of Kos town, where the restaurants, shops and the nightlife not too far away (but far enough so that you don't hear it). My wife and I have stayed at The Alexandra Hotel in Kos Town four times and are booked for a further visit later this year. It might be useful to first say who the hotel will not suit. If you have hoards of screaming kids who demand all manner of amusements and activities to occupy them for the day, or teenage sons and daughters looking for in house entertainment with pounding pop, rap or house music, then this is NOT the place for you, so please don’t go. I stayed in Alexandra Hotel, Kos in early May this year. Being before the tourist season the location was just great - just a short walk to the harbour or to the town centre, and at this time of year it was quiet through the night - even though one of the most used streets is passing by the hotel. We paid for this week away thinking it was going to be a bit posher than our normal 3* hotel break and we wanted to treat ourselves. So when we turned up we thought that we had a superior room with fridge and air con. However we had a standard hotel room (no air con or fridge and tiny shower).
