We have just returned after having a pleasant stay at this hotel. We found the food to be very good, a great variety of dishes were on offer which was well presented.
The staff were mostly very pleasant The location was also very good and not too far to walk into town. On the down side while the room was fine we thought the bathroom
needed some maintainance and also the woodwork looked a bit lifeless. The hotel overall was fine and we reckon it is a good 3 star establishment

Unless you have been here before you may not get the room you would like. It seemed to us that all the best rooms had been given to their regulars. So if you had booked a room that looked outy over the marina or the swiming pool , all you got was a view of the boat yard, so if you want to sit on your balcony and watch boats being worked on fine. The extra bonus with these ro0oms is you get to here the night time entertaiment yhat goes on to midnight. All the views in the books are taken from a great distance, this is because it is not on a sandy beach as you are led to believe in Thomsons books. The only saving grace for this hotel is it's food.

We stayed at the Hotel ses estaques for the first time on the recommendation of a friend. On arrival we were given a warm welcome from the porter and reception desk.We had booked a superior room and were not disappointed, although superior rooms seem no bigger than other rooms the furniture was upgraded. Tea & coffee, safety deposit box, fruit and bottle of wine, bathrobes and slippers(which we did not use).Restaurant was great, plenty of choice and well presented. The a la carte dining in a pretty restaurant a short walk from the hotel was not to be missed, not many choices but presented and well cooked in local tradition. Plenty of sun beds for all, even at midday, although I must say people were up early to reserve beds, and some with towels on for most of the day. Day time entertainment was great and the two entertainers, Marc and Charlotte, made everyone feel welcome, the pool games and quizzes were very popular. Evening entertainment was excellent, again run by the entertainers Marc & Charlotte. Thomson seems to have ramped up the entertainment since we stayed at a gold hotel 2 years ago.It was a short stroll into Santa Eulalia where you will find many bars and restaurants, and all kinds of shops. Thanks to all Thomson staff, bar staff, reception, chambermaids, restaurant staff and not forgetting the hotel manager, our stay was enjoyable and we made many friends, we will return.

This is our third stay at the hotel and his staff team paid attention to detail throughout our stay. Food and accommadation were excellent the a la carte restuarant food and service the same, the only minus for us was th e entertainment programme, which by 'Gold' standards we found very poor.Barbara fron Scarborough who was in charge did not have the personality or the experience to make it succeed. This needs to be addressed.Overall a good holiday we will return again to this hotel!

On first arriving at the hotel the reception staff are helpful, pleasant, and informative with a porter/waiter eager to 'Carry Your Bags' to your room. Rooms are either looking out over the pool/marina or the quieter rear of the hotel. Rooms were spotless, tastefully furnished if a little on the small size. Beds were extremely comfortable. We elected for a quiet room at the rear of the hotel - big mistake - because that is where to bins and bottle banks are and believe me when they get emptied early in the morning ( appx 5am) you know about it, although this happens only about 3 days a week. The restaurant in the hotel is plain and a little cramped. The food is what you would expect. Not brilliant but perfectly adequate, with a gala dinner once a week. Entertainment is outside in the poolside terrace - weather permitting and owing to its open through route to the town is often frequented by people who are not staying at the hotel. The inside room is small and gets full very quickly. The town of Santa Eulalia is nice with a lovely promenade walk from the Marina all around the bay, and for the more adventurous you can walk either to Cala Llonga to take pity on the unfortunate ones who have elected to stay at this 'one horse' resort - oh and the horse left a long time ago. Or ES CANA along the at times' hairy coastal path. Santa Eulalia also has ferry trips to all the local places plus Ibiza Town or Formentera. It also is a female shopper’s paradise for handbags or shoes - it is reputed to have over 50 shoe shops Back to the hotel. The staff are for the most part friendly, engaging, and helpful. You can also book 1 meal each week at the hotel run restaurant overlooking the bay. We went once - The food was nice - when we got it. The service was the worst I have experienced anywhere in the world. Time between courses - when they got the order correct was about 15-30 minutes - that is after you have finished the previous course and you are practically the only ones left in the place. When a complaint was made - the response was unbelievable - it is busy time of year - it is holiday season - hhmmm wonder why we were there then. Also advised that they did not have any staff and yet rather than serve customers the staff were laying tables for the next day - Incredible. The hotel staff failed to respond to my observations. Finally the Thomson entertainment team - They worked their socks off especially Lucy and Tim. A total nutcase from Blackburn - wherever he ends up in 2008 the holiday makers are in for a treat. We were also lucky enough - or unlucky enough to be at the SES Estagues during the 'Fiesta of the Tourist’ In the SES Estagues boy oh boy do they make a big thing of this. All guests get a gift and those people returning to the hotel for 2nd or more visit get a bigger and bigger gift the more times you have stayed. Some guests got statues about the size of the fallen Madonna with the big boobies. God help them when they went back to check in - they probably had to pay hundreds of pounds in excess baggage. The night was like something from the Oscars. By the time names of guests returning for over 30 times were read out and gifts distributed you were on your knees from applauding and shouting - 'gerra a life - see the world, but it was all done in jest. Would we go back - absolutely - reckon by the time I am 80 I should just about be ready for a coronary carrying my own version of the Statue of Liberty. The weather was good for September - the hotel was equally good - apart from that chuffing restaurant across the bay.

Thank you to all the staff of this lovely hotel for making our ruby wedding anniversary very special and also very memorable, we could not fault the service or any other factor of our holiday.
The Thomson staff are a credit to the company , they worked very hard and were extremely pleasant at all times. Andy has a very professional attitude and a marvellous singing voice and ensured all the entertainment was on time and conducted professionally.
We will visit again next year, we have travelled extensively but now know there is a perfect hotel within easy reach so why endure another long tedious flight.

3*hotel in the brochure but 4*in reality. Excellently situated on a rocky bay but with a small sandy beach nearby.
Food excellent with constant change of choices. Drinks prices reasonable. Entertainment great. Staff very friendly & helpful, with a hands-on manager Juan.
Knowledgeable reps in constant attendance. Gold hotel - no kids! Sunloungers and umbrellas galore no 7am rush to reserve unless you want a special place. Large pool area. Overlooks marina & 400 yds to shops, bars etc. Pool bar serves a good choice of lunchtime snacks, again at reasonable prices.
Night visit to Ibiza Town is recommended, to see castle and amazing sights! Weather - 1 days rain, otherwise 80-90 degs solid sunshine
Do NOT go to the hippy market in Es Cana - a lovely boat trip but then about 1000yds uphill to a grossly overcrowded market, selling stuff available in St Eulalia market/
St Eulalia an upmarket town with good shops and many bars & cafes.
We were party of 4, in early 70s and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will go again.

Had a fabulous holiday. Could not find any faults with the hotel. The staff were obliging, and polite.
The Food was excellent, and the room was great. The general standard of the hotel was superb. The Entertainment was good. The rep was great.
We have never used Thomson’s gold before, but would not hesitate in using them again. We have already recommended Ses Estaques to friends. A Superb Holiday.

We spent a week at Ses Estaques, Aug 4th-10th, and had a fabulous holiday. The hotel was first class, the staff friendly and helpful, the food excellent, cleanliness excellent and entertainment excellent. What more can I add.
Though this was a Thomson gold holiday, it was not only for the elderly, it was great for anyone who wanted a comfortable, restful holiday, but the opportunity to look round a pleasant resort too.
If we chose to re visit Ibiza, we would certainly return to this hotel, and have already recommended the place to some friends and will have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to others in the future.

My wife and I have just returned from the hotel Ses Estaques having spent the last two weeks of June there on a half-board basis.
We are Thompson Gold regulars and have stayed at all three Thompson Gold hotels on the island of Ibiza. All three hotels have their plus and minus points. The main plus point for all Thomson Gold Hotels- no children under 16!
So what about the Hotel Ses Estaques? Firstly it is in a very good location. On one side of the hotel is its own rocky beach although it should be noted that there is a public right of way going through this area. It is here that all of the sunbeds are located.
There are more than enough for everyone but that still does not stop people from making sure that they have their own particular spot reserved by putting towels on the sunbed at eight o'clock in the morning!
At the front of the hotel there is a large grassy area with a reasonably sized pool plus two Jacuzzi style hot tubs. Also in this area is the outside bar which also serves snacks at lunchtime.
The rooms in the hotel are of a fairly standard size and are kept immaculately clean.
The same can also be said for the rest of the hotel -- everything is kept spick and span.
One thing however that you should be aware of is that unless you have a superior room (basically a standard room with a few extras such as bathrobes, flowers, fruit and wine on arrival and a free safety deposit box) there are no tea and coffee making facilities provided which for a three star hotel is pretty poor!
If you have a room at the front of the hotel you will overlook the pool area where as rooms at the rear of the hotel overlooks the entrance area and the tennis court.
Rooms at the rear are the quieter choice because the stage area is located near to the swimming pool. The outdoor stage is obviously only used during the high season.
So now then we move on to the restaurant. This is bright and airy but it could do with being rather larger. I think cosy perhaps best describes this room.
The food itself is, like all Thompson Gold hotels, served buffet style.
For breakfast there is an excellent choice of cereals, fruit, pastries, fruit juices, toast and marmalade etc plus a variety of tea and coffee. Absolutely first rate.
However, those wanting a cooked breakfast every day I think will find it rather repetitive.
For instance there are fried eggs, bacon, sausages, beans and this never varies. Yes you can have an omelette or a hard-boiled egg. But there is certain sameness and the hot foods are not of the best quality in our opinion.
Dinner is served from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m... Once again it is of the buffet style. Each evening there is a choice of soups followed by hors d'oeuvre then the main course followed by a choice of sweets and finally cheese and biscuits. There are two soups to choose from every evening and these are really delicious.
The hors d'oeuvres as well are plentiful with a lot of variety and very tasty. Perhaps this is just as well because the main courses in our opinion are nothing really special. The meats in particular, with one exception, are rather ordinary. The exception is the roast pork which is served from the carvery once a week and should not be missed. For those who like it there is always a choice of fish dishes.
The choice of sweets is rather mundane as well. The cheeses however are excellent and there is always a blue cheese plus Cheddar and Brie with some local Spanish cheeses on offer every evening.
If you like wine with your meal may I suggest that you avoid Spanish white and stick with the red wines but they do cost from around €12 a bottle. If you don't drink it all in one go the wine waiter will happily bring it out for you on the next evening.
Common to all Thompson Gold hotels there is a separate a la carte restaurant where you can eat once a week at no extra charge. The a la carte restaurant at this hotel is beautifully situated a short stroll away with lovely sea views. We have always tried the a la carte restaurant at each Thompson gold hotel we have stayed at.
Sadly, we have usually been disappointed. Nevertheless we determined to give this one a go as well. I have to say that it is somewhat better than any of the others we have tried.
Next I must mention the entertainment. This is generally quite good but it tends to be aimed at the 50 plus age range. There is usually a good selection of acts spread out over the week with UK cabaret artists and resident bands working exclusively for Thompson.
During the day a variety of activities can be sampled although no one ever feels forced to do anything. These are run by the two Thompson Gold hosts who this year are Andy and Lucy.
I have to say that Andy seems to do most of the work. Some of the activities are as follows: crazy golf, table tennis, skittles, pool, daily quiz, water aerobics in the swimming pool, darts and French boulle.
The hotel staff are generally efficient and helpful particularly in the dining room area.
Drinks tend to be fairly pricey and the measures not as generous as at other Gold hotels. During the fortnight that we were there my wife and I felt that the staff at the hotel were a little bit at odds with the Thompson staff-however we could be wrong on that.
The town of Santa Eulalia is a delightful place. There are lots of shops and streets to browse around. The promenade that runs the full-length of the town is a masterstroke and the marina situated just in front of the hotel is great to wander around.
One local outing that we would definitely recommend is the three-hour trip on the Santa Eulalia express. This is a land train which takes you out and about into the lovely countryside surrounding the town. It makes three or four stops at places of local interest and is well worth the money at about €11 each.
One thing however that we noticed is that the trip starts at the front of the Tres Torres Hotel and not at the back of the hotel, where you might expect it to start as the bus stop is there!

Myself wife and daughter have just returned from a two week break
This was our 12visit to this hotel, the location super the hotel staff super
Thomson gold reps tried their best with what they had for the day time entertainment,
The little gold award was a insult to the price you pay for going to this hotel the usual prizes where not the best though we had fun taking part
Now we come to the evening the uk acts were not the up to the usual Thomson standard and the production team where the worst we have seen in all the years we have been going to this hotel
The hotel needs a full refurbishment, drinks are very expensive also the bar .
We have booked again for next year hope to report a great improvement.
So in general the Thomson standard going down and prices going up
