Augusta Aparthotel

The Augusta is a clean well maintained hotel with good rooms that include a small sink cooker etc. It is about 3 miles from the centre of Palma but served well by taxi's and the no3 bus that leaves every 10 minutes from Porto Pi (500 yds away). We had a superb two day break with breakfast by the pool even in October! It was peaceful and quite but plenty of places to eat nearby.

My husband and I just returned from a week at these apartments. Nice friendly staff, really good fresh breakfasts, served and looked after by just one man but he was on the ball all the time. Rooms are very clean, the cleaners really do an excellent job. Only one small compaint, showers are really only a drizzle of water they could do with being replaced. I have just returned from a 5 day break at this hotel. It is ideally situated to get in and out of Palma. The number 3 bus runs frequently from the bottom of the hill and costs just 1.5 Euros. Alternatively you can walk right along the promenade in front of the port into Palma. A long walk, about 50 minutes, but very enjoyable. Stayed at this hotel with a friend for one week in June 2008 and I must say that this hotel is a very positive surprise. At the arrival we were met by a very nice and charming young lady who was very helpful and kind. Throughout our stay she always had a smile and a nice comment everytime we passed the reception area. I stayed at this hotel with my wife and 3 year old son for 3 nights at the end of our recent holiday. The hotel is situated on a hillside above the main harbour for ferries/cruise ships, about 3 miles from the centre of Palma, although don't let that put you off. This hotel is half the cost of city centre hotels, and the additional cost/inconvenience of getting a bus or taxi really is worth it. We stayed at the Augusta apatments for 4 nights while visiting Palma for the san sebastian festival. It is a very pleasant hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. We were given a large room on the 3rd floor which had fantastic views over the city & cathedral. The room had a full size fridge, 2 electric hobs & sink plus cooking utensils pots & pans. The added bonus is that breakfast is provided & was very good with changes made evey day to the selection of meats & cheeses. This establishment lets itself down by overbooking.It would be wise to call prior to departure,allthough they did put us in a hotel for the first night.(but if i wanted a hotel i would not have booked appartments) Be sure to take a travel kettle as these are not provided.Due to the location it would be wise to have transport as the hill from the marina is steep and long.Staff are very helpfull and pleasant and seem genuine which is a nice change.

We stayed at this hotel for a week. The room was clean, the front desk very kind and helpful. The breakfast, included in the rate, was very good with wide food choice. The air conditioning worked well during the hot days but remember to close the balcony window carefully unless it stops. We found the hotel to be clean and well run. Beautiful pool area and our request for a pool view was met without any trouble. We could also see the towers of the castle from our balcony! Be prepared to walk a good 40mins to the main sites i.e. Cathedral etc. but the route is very pleasant along the harbour and the hotel is in a lovely residential district. Overall a simple but good hotel- recommended.

The hotel was very nice, very clean and the breakfast was great. (only continental) but good choice and plenty of food. The location was not great a long steep walk downhill to get to any restaurants or shops, so you really need a car or a least be prepared to pay for taxis. We use to walk down the hill and get a taxi back. It cost about 3 euros. The bar didn't open until 6pm so you couldn't get any ice creams or food during the day by the pool.
