Located in Courchevel 1650 it is not the most ideal spot to take advantage of the skiing offered by the 3 valley’s but it is one of my favourite places. The Les Avals Chalet has the best location right across the road from the escalator that takes you to the ski lifts. Having the popular Rockys bar located right on the premises makes it a lively spot. We had a room on the lower floor so noise was not an issue but the floor right below the bar area may suffer from noise until the bar shuts. The food provided was excellent, top quality and plenty of it. The only thing stopping this from being a 10 is that the rooms are in need of a tidy up or refurbish, but saying that who goes skiing to stay in the room?

Had excellent stay here over Christmas. Second week of season and staff were well in their stride and enthusiastic and helpful.access to ski is excellent Cross the road to escalator to front de neige or bus stop outside 7min to 1850.dont waste time in the bedrooms they are not luurious neither is the price.John
