We returned from a wonderful fortnights holiday in this hotel a week ago.We went through Thomson Gold and they were really good too. It's a lovely hotel with really friendly helpful staff. We would not hesitate to return again and recommend it to anyone! The resort is also marvellous. The weather was brilliant.

We have just had a week staying at the Panorama & although pleasant enough, we wouldn't go back. Most of the guests were 70+ & it felt like a Saga Holiday. My husband & I (49 & 51 year olds)were one of the youngest couples there. The whole dining experience was not for us... more

I'm a single traveller and have stopped at this hotel many times. My single room is small but has a balcony overlooking the sea and I don't get charged a hefty supplement for the room either. I'm very happy with this as I only use the room for sleeping and getting ready to... more

The hotel is in a great location and is light and airy the facilities and service are good. Not for me was the Thomson Gold entertainment - all very Hi-di-hi campers! and noisy in the day and a mixed bag at night. We went elsewhere for peace & quiet in the day. One thing to... more

Fantastic holiday where nothing too much trouble for the staff
We went in August 2005 to Hotel Marina Panorama and had a fantastic 10 days stay. We arrived in the early hours of the morning 5 a.m. and were met by the night porter who unfortunately, solely, had to deal with quite a few new arrivals together but that was the only negitive thing about the holiday. The food is fantastic. We were half board and we piled the weight on because the choice was so good you just wanted to try everything. The staff are brilliant, so pleasant and friendly. The holiday reps were great fun also. Enjoy the afternoons where you have a quiz and learn how to make the cocktails (and everyone gets a taster) and the winning team get the cocktail. On an evening the shows are o.k. but the staff all do "the dance" and get everyone to join in. We don't usually go in for that but you just can't help yourself. Drinks are a little expensive in the hotel but you expect that really. We were asked to fill a review of the hotel in and we marked down the night porter because of the fact everyone in your party has to fill in a form (usually its just one member of the party) and at that time in the morning we felt it was unneccessary. They rang us to apologise and it appears the rep should have told us on the bus what to expect. So if your going to this hotel well you are lucky people and guaranteed to have a great time. We will definately be going again.
Good Value for Money! A Golden Hotel!
Stayed here on a last minute deal. The Hotel is a good value 3 star aimed at older guests with food having an english slant. Picked up a week Half Board for £284 & found the hotel offered excellent VFM. Pool View Rooms are best, followed by Sea View. We found Nicola the receptionist most helpful as she swapped rooms for us on arrival. This seemed a common occurrence at this hotel. The restaurant was busy and bustly with a reasonable choice both for breakfast & Evening meal. The pool & new gym area are excellent too. The rooms are of a good standard but beds are rather hard and sheets need renewal! We mentioned this on our feedback form. We liked Es Cana very much and it is not as quiet as other reviews had led us to believe. There is good walking along the coast to other quieter bays - find Cala Llenya as this is very pleasant. The Bus runs very regularly to St Eulalia which is a pleasant town with a nice prom. Boat trips are available too & we recommend the trip to Formentera as a good day out. The best bar with spot on prices is the Bar Marbella at the far end of the beach near the Hotel Miami. A lovely bay view with excellent Sangria by the litre! Other reviews helped us pick this resort & we think it will suit most tastes. The sea is clear & the bay outlook stunning! Mark & Keith
Fantastic!
This hotel is fantastic. We first visited in July 2004 joining my parents. The hotel staff were brilliant, always smiling and happy and saying hello. The rooms, dining area and reception were spotless all the time, I never saw a dirty area at all. Es Cana is beautiful, the beach and surrounding bars and restaurants are all you could want really. If you fancy a good laugh in the evening and more adult entertainment go to 'Charlies Bar' next door to the hotel. We visited again in July 2005 and we are going again this year as well for the Carnival in Es Cana with fireworks etc......The best thing about this hotel, no kids under 16yrs which is brilliant, you can really get away from screaming kids! OK the dining situation is a little annoying with your usual pushing and shoving as if people haven't eaten for years, but the quality of the food and variety is excellent. Also take advantage of the 'A La Carte' option once during your stay, its well worth it, but a word of warning book early! I would recommend this hotel everytime, it's absolutely fantastic!
A Faultless Hotel
This was the third occassion that my wife and I had stayed at this hotel. What can I say. The resort of Es Cana itself is rather quiet but nice all the same. But who cares when staying at The Panorama Marina. The rooms are very clean and well decorated,it has an excellent pool area and the food is by far the best for choice and quality. There is a program of day and evening entertainment to suit all. All the hotel staff are very efficient and friendly in a sincere way (not the usual fake "Have a nice day" type). We have stayed at other Gold Hotels which are no way near the standard of the Panorama. Anyone who doesn't enjoy their stay here must be very hard to please. We will go back again and again!
Superb Hotel
Just returned from a Thomson Gold holiday at this hotel. I found that it was excellent and both myself and my wife had a great holiday. The room was above average size, the food was varied and well produced. OK it is buffet style but how someone can relate it to a works canteen I can only think that they must have worked at a very posh place. The hotel was in excellent decorative order and the entertainment was well up to the usual Gold standards You got the feeling that all the staff enjoyed what they did and the whole atmosphere in the hotel was for everyone to have a great time. The resort is a little restricted and I would only award it about 5/10 but St Eulalera is only a few Kilometres away. There are boat ferries to Ibiza Town. There are walks both north and south from Es Cana but they are not very well marked. We have stayed at 3 Thomson Gold Hotels in the last 12 months and all have been good but this is the best so far. We intend to try some different ones in the coming years
Mediocrity at a price, snobbish.
The main advantages of the hotel are the freedom from noisy badly behaved kids and the central position in the resort. The staff were very good but the food evening wise was works canteen like (a vat of custard !), although there was a large choice. As it is a Thomson gold it should have been better. The bar was badly positioned and somewhat regimented and formal, not cosey at all. The usual silly sunbed pilots reserving sunbeds early in the morning. In all very average 3 star.
Lovely Hotel
Visisted the Marina in Es Cana in May 2005. A nice clean hotel, located yards fron the beach and ferries, food was reasonable, good size pool with life guard. Only negative comment was our room faced the front of the hotel and was a bit noisey in the evenings and balcony did not get any sun. Overall a good hotel and I would return.
Great!
This Hotel is A1....Great food, drink, staff & people. Georgia & Heather from Thomson Gold are ace hosts as well....10/10
Happy Holiday in perfect surroundings
I spent a weks holiday in the Hotel with my wife, daughter and her husband, and found that the hotel was without fault and the staff were the best that we had ever encountered on our Thomson travels. The rooms were kept spotless by an ever smiling cleaner, and the dining room staff were tripping over themselves to be of assistance. The Reception staff were also the most friendliest that we have ever met,as nothing seemed to get them upset and they dealt with everything with a smile. It was only the second time that we have visited Ibiza,as we normally go to Majorca, but we will definitely re-visit the hotel,as it has left an everlsting impression on myself and my family.Well done to the hotel and its staff.
14 days dream holiday
mick pauline les&pearl we have spent 14 days at the panorama and would like to say that it is a 10/10. the staff are the best we have come across in all our gold holidays. the food .pool.rooms.and most of all the staff, made our stay (THE BEST) Will go again. M P L P
