I have stayed in these aptments 3 times before and its ashame to see them going down. They use to have a resturant and bar and a full entertainment programme which would keep the kids happy. Now there is nothing no food no bar not even icecream there is no longer any... more

Really enjoyed our week long stay. Apartment was pretty basic but room servicing was excellent throughout our stay. Breakfasts were no longer available but the close proximity of a supermarket and an unlimited number of bars/restaurants ensured we didn't starve!... more

Cala Millor is one of the nicest resorts I have ever stayed in Majorca. Lively enough to be fun, but not as over the top as Magaluf. These apartments are lovely, but the air con is a bit dodgy. (Tip...when you close the balcony door, make sure it has caught on the catch,... more

Clean and Tidy. Swimming Pools small but OK for size of hotel. Bar and staff great. Breakfasts great. Entertainment on night not too good as you would expect from small hotel. Can see beach from main block of hotel above 3rd floor. 200meters to beach. Plenty of shops and... more

Great stuff!
Just spent a 'hen' weekend at these apartments with my six friends. We all said how clean we thought the apartments were, how friendly the staff were and what a great resort it is situated in. We would all definitely go again - and we are all thinking about going again next year with our kids.
Excellent value for money !!
An excellent 3 star choice, you will not be disappointed. Our apartment in the main block was definitely value for money, decorated to a high standard with a distinct modern feel. The Thomson rep. was available if required, however her knowledge of the Atalaya and Cala Millor area appeared limited; we believe this was as a result of her only being based at the Atalaya for 3 weeks. The location was perfect, only a 2 minute walk to the large sandy beach and a good choice of bars nearby. Be mindful of purchasing fruit from the sellers on the beach, we observed forceful selling techniques and customers paying over 6 Euros for a slice of melon! We would highly recommend the ‘Get Stuffed’ bar opposite the hotel for breakfast and evening pub food. We would struggle to fault the Atalaya or Cala Milor, or even Cala Bona, the resort next door. The harbour at Cala Bona is worth a visit, especially the ‘Paparazzi’ Italian restaurant. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
Great Location
The rooms were really nice and absolutely spotless. In fact, the microwave could have been brand new. Located right in the centre and just a 2 minute stroll to the beach. The pool was only small but having said that there were always sunbeds to be had, so not too much of a problem with reserving beds. This year the hotel no longer serves breakfast however we were able to buy croissants, etc. from the supermarket opposite and get coffees at the hotel and take them back to our room, which probably saved us some money. We didn't stay in the hotel of an evening but it did seem rather quiet. I would recommend walking about 30 minutes along the front towards Cala Bona to a restaurant to the right of the Levante Hotel called "The taste of asia" which served a chinese buffet for 9 euros for adults and 4.50 for children - each as much as you like - which was absolutely delicious.
really enjoyed it
Arrived in resort and we were pleased as we pulled up at our hotel.Transfer takes about 80 mins but it was worth it when we got there.Took advice from someone who left a review and used old supermarket card to keep air conditioning on in room while we were at the beach which ment the room was cool when we returned.Hotel was clean and the reps had plenty of fun with the kids. The pool isn`t very big but there are two so it`s not that bad.If i had to reccomend a restaurant then it would be one called LEO`S along the pedestrianized area where all the shops are.The food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were very nice. There are loads of shops and cafe bars aswell as a beautiful beach with jet ski`s,banana boat, pedalo`s and sun beds for hire(2 beds and umbrella-10.50 euros or £8) per day.Whilst there was some seaweed in the water it`s only at the beach edge, once you`ve walked out 20 feet it`s gone. There are plenty of english bars and karaoke if you want it.Next to the hotel is a supermarket called EROSKI where you can buy everthing you need(the suncream here is cheaper than anywhere else),fruit, bread, cheese, ham you name it they`ve got it.
:)
The hotel was quiet but lovely! I went with my friend and we are both young singles so it wasnt great for us but the nightlife around about was great! Especially la havana which was free to get in and has great music! Lovely beach, literally a two minute walk! There was quite a bit of sea-weed but it wasnt a problem at all as the beach was gorgeous and the sea was unbelievably clear! Would recommend it to families with young children but not to teenagers or young couples. Have a great holiday!
Fabulous holiday
I have been to this hotel for the last 2 years and have booked up again to go this year. I felt the hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The location is excellent especially for a trip to the beach. I felt the evening entertainment was not brilliant in the hotel but there are other pubs near hand that are suitable for families. This resort is suitable for couples or families but would not recommend it for young singles. The fact that this is my 3rd year going to the Atalaya says it all for me.
great place
Me and my family had a great time here, really enjoyed it, the hotel and apartment was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We had a lovely view of the sea, and the beach was just 3 minutes away which is brilliant if you have kids (not far to drag them). The pool was small but the kids loved it. Didnt stay in the hotel for the evenings, the place has so much to see and the shops were great, the supermarket is litterally just outside the front door, has all you need. had a lovely holiday and we would definately go back, did enjoy the british bulldog, and the restaraunt called the sun deck does a nice home cooked meal, could have stayed a lot longer. The beach is beautiful(watch out for the seaweed).
Great place
Definitely recommend. Apartments very comfortable and very clean, maids come in daily apart from Wednesday. Not all apartments have a microwave so make sure if it is important to you. Tip: take a plastic card ie supermarket card, NUS card, library card so you can stick it in the "key thing" when you are out and it will keep the air conditioning on [otherwise it will go off when you leave the apartment]. Reception are excellent, speak excellent English. We had breakfast each morning for 5 euros - buffet style, very good and plenty of it. Two pools, one mainly for younger children. Approx 5 mins walk to beach - which is a nice one but they want to charge you 5 euros per day to use the sunbeds, take your own! Favourite place to eat - Laurels: out of the Atalaya back gate, straight down road to sea front, on your left. Have fun...
Quality Holiday
Booked last minute and wasnt expecting much but the Atalaya main building is 4Star Quality, staff were helpful, accomodation was very good, cheap drinks at hotel bar. unlike other review i didnt rate British bulldog, some of the bars on the beach front are far better excellant food at mexican restaurant on beach front and Carlos Restaurant. If you require late check out at hotel dont go through tour operator they charge 40 euros go straight to reception you can keep your room until time you leave for 19 euros would definately go again
loved it.
brilliant apartments, first time there and loved it. Pay satto and debbie a visit at the british bull dog pub just outside the atalaya, you are sure to get a great welcome, good home cooking to. don't go near the lady selling fruit it is a con and will cost you a good few euros STAY AWAY. It was a relaxing holiday, but there is more available if you want it,,,,,,,good water sports and discos ect. very clean place cala millor, no litter any where and the pedestrinised area is great for kids. i would definetly go back.
