Barbados - what a lovely place; lovely people; and the ruuuuum!
Nothing to fault really. Quite expensive restaurants, but our daughter (16) didn’t want to try out some of the more local places.
Mangos in Speightstown was our favourite. Super service and excellent food - finished off with free banana rum after paying the bill! Very, very attentive staff. Also "Bamboozle" just along the road towards Hole Town, was a timber framed/telegraph pole hut with a big bar and a set menu of local/Thai food. Very good value and the owner was a hoot.
Apartments were very comfortable and far better than being stuck in an all inclusive hotel - people we met were quite surprised that we’d found it on the internet.
The off-road 4x4 tour is a must! Exciting ride; entertaining driver; good lunch and drinks and you see places you wouldn’t even dream of going to normally, let alone get there off road.
We shall be going back to Barbados, without doubt and with the rest of the family.
