Wanted a quiet a relaxing week away, and we got it. Amadores beach is about 45 mins transfer from Las Palmas airport. First thing you notice is the fantastic scenery/views. The Amadores Beach Apartments are set literally about 100 meters from the promenade and gorgeous beach. There is another set of apartment just across the road from it and that’s the lot. Bliss. Up the hillside there are other hotels but you don’t even notice them hardly. The views out of the patio and bedroom windows are wonderful. all apartments face the sea so everyone gets a great view. When you look to the beach there seems to be nothing, but cleverly hidden under the promenade are about 30 to 40 restaurants all directly onto the beach. If you want a really quiet week, then this is the place. We only ate twice at Amadores as to be honest, it was to quiet. There is a wonderful promenade walk which takes about 15 mins to Puerto Rico where you have everything from nightclubs, Karaoke bars, loads of food places every possible gift/souvenir shop going, not forgetting the wonderful Lucky Lucky men who will try and sell you watches, bracelets etc. Watch out for the time share touts as usual.
The apartments we stayed in are very well equipped, all mod cons except air conditioning. The pool was spot on with a baby pool as well. Plenty of sun loungers. The staff were all very friendly but remember that these are only apartments and the reception opening times are 9.00 till 5.00, then your on your own, also there is no poolside bar or entertainment in the evenings as these are purely only apartments.
Everything sounding brill you say....well it was.....except we had one gripe, he we go I hear you say....well we found ourselves sharing our rooms with them little, or not so little insects better known as Cockroaches......Eeeeek!!. The staff sprayed our rooms but we kept finding the little b*ggers. Apparently the whole area was having a bit of a cockroach problem at the time and to be fair they did bring in the pest control guy who did his bit, and towards the end of the week, loads of dead cockroaches could be seen everywhere.
I would just like the emphasise though that Amadores is beautiful despite our little friends....lol. feel free to e-mail if you want to know anything else. Check out the video clip, taken from my patio. Short but very sweet.

The room we had we amazing, the biggest bed I’ve ever seen, full kitchen including washer dishwasher and dryer.
The bathroom had a jet power shower and a Jacuzzi bath.
Fully air coned. 24 Hour reception (which is handy).
The place was very quiet most of the time we were the only one's round the pool its nice not to have loads of screaming kids. But also got tokens for the beach so that you did not have to pay for sunbeds or umbrellas if you fancy going on the beach for a while.
The balcony overlooked the beach but wasn’t overlooked by any other apartments
I’d recommend it to anyone.
